It was a Friday evening and I just didnt want to go back home to netflix + chill. So asked around and two other work colleagues were also at a loose end, and so the three of us decided to go grab dinner in Haarlem. Lots of phone-ing around and we finally lucked out as this restaurant had a spot open for 3 ppl on a Friday evening.
The restaurant interior is lean and long and fairly small, but the table flows and arrangements were great. Our table was right by the kitchen, which got a little torturous as we kept expecting our food, only to see dishes being taken to other tables, especially as we were all massively hungry. The location of the loo too was interesting - its actually located towards the back of the restaurant, behind an alcove and you have to go up the stairs.
Our table started off by getting the starters nos 8 - a mix of mini spring rolls, minced fish, crispy shrimps & a Thai wonton (pangsit). This was decent, and I thought the shrimp was the best of the assortment. And I should have maybe stuck with Green or Red or Mussaman Curry, this being a Thai restaurant, but the menu had some interesting options I hadnt seen before and I decided to get the Pad Krapauw Moe Krop (Roast pork belly with beans, garlic, chili & basil) which came with rice. My Roast Pork was a bit tough and also oily. Not that happy with this choice. To drink, I got the Thai Iced Tea, and this was so very very weak - it honestly ranks as one of the worst Thai iced teas I have ever had, so would not order again.
Overall, it was decent food, but highly doubtful if I will return.
