The electricians were great to work with…read moreand listened to our needs when planning where our computers and other electronics would be placed. They recommended putting in a couple circuits so that we wouldn't have any issues. The workers showed up with a smile on their face and a positive attitude each day. The thing that impressed me most was how clean they kept the jobsite. We've used other tradesman in the past who left the place a complete mess. We will definitely use them again in the future and recommend D and D to everyone.

After a tornado and Duracho devastated our farm, we were without electric and water. It took 2…read moredays just to clean up enough for Southeastern Electric to be able to hook us back up to the Grid. We called Mr. Electric to hook service up to the house, and they gave us an appointment for that. When the electrician showed up, he didn't have needed materials, which we had advised them were needed ahead of time. He immediately told me we would need a new meter at the house, before even getting within 20 feet of the meter. It was in perfect condition, and only a couple years old, so I pushed back, and he finally admitted we could just do conduit from the existing meter. He then gave us an estimate for over $11K to hook it back up. Fortunately, I had done the exact same work a couple of years earlier, and knew that was an outrageous price. Our Elec company was still here, and they also said that wasn't "insane" price. Called Drieseen Electric out of Rock Valley, and he showed up in an hour, made a list of needed materials, and was right back here early the next morning to hook us up, for a 10th the price Mr. Electric quoted. They are predators. Please beware! Many great, ethical people out there, but I wouldn't ever trust these folks again. They knew we're were in a dire circumstance, and gave us an absolutely outrageous price in the middle of a disaster. Their management backed this up, and also refused to give us the estimate in writing... I think that says it all!

The…read moreplumbers were super nice but we went through several of them so the quote kept changing which is frustrating. They apparently have a high turnover. Beware, the owner and the office staff are complete a--holes. Some of the rudest people I've ever dealt with. The owner will insult and call names if something doesn't go his way despite what is in the contract. They must be hurting for money because they demanded we pay them our small balance even when the work wasn't done! We refused to pay until the work was completed per our contract so he harassed us by phone and text for months. I told him I would call the police if he kept it up but he didn't care. I got to the point where I wouldn't even answer my door unless it was someone we knew. Then, while installing drywall we learned of a couple mistakes so we called to have them fixed. Instead of being understanding, he insulted us and threatened to put a lien on OUR house for payment of work THEY didn't do correctly. His behavior was insane! The plumber, Ryan, was very nice and helpful. He answered all my questions. If I could have hired just him independently instead of going through this awful company, I would have. The owner should learn how to treat people! I would NOT recommend them for any work at all considering how much stress, anxiety and fear the owner caused our family. Steer clear unless you're ok with being treated like trash. I'm sure the owner will comment on this review and go on the attack because that's what he does.

Messed up an install, never got the electrical inspected, entire new room needs to be ripped apart…read moredue to their negligence. Dragging their feet and ignored me for months. Paid to have 3 generators installed, never got them running. Upon inquiry, they informed me we only paid to have them installed, not set up and working. After asking why that would be, they said I was cheap for not buying the generator from them. Abysmally terrible company. Do not waste your time or money with them.

Brion's men performed work on my home the following dates: 2/13/20, 5/7/20, 5/11/20. I called again…read moreon 11/20 because I had an issue with a light. Brion himself showed up to work on the light which he could no fix. During part of our conversation, he told me that someone hacked his computer and was dealing with fraud. He also noted that he had an invoice that he had not delivered to me for worked performed. I advised I was not sure whether I had paid the bill or not since the time lapse had been so long. Then, on Dec 2 he called me several time, more than 5 in 2 hours. Then, an invoiced showed up in my email for the work performed 8 months prior. The next day, Dec 3, I received a call from Brion at 7:45 of which I could not answer due to a work conversation. at 7:50, Brion showed up on my door step and demanded payment. I advised I had not even looked at the invoice that was sent yesterday at 3:39 pm. He said "let's hammer it out right now" and made a move to step into the house. I blocked his entrance into my house and told him to leave. Demanding a payment for work completed 8 months prior is way out of line. I have now received a notice from Bion's attorney of a mechanics lien filed against me for a bill received 8 months after the work was completed, with an interest rate of 10% annum. I think I should be allowed to make payments on the bill for 8 months which would align with his sending out the invoice. I intend to pay the bill, never once did I saw I would not pay the bill. I asked for time to review the bill because it seemed excessively and Brion of his own admission, lost billing records. I hired another electrician to complete the work Brion could not and it was fixed within an hour. Would NOT recommend!

HE WAS ON TIME!!! (seems like I usually have to wait all day for a service man to come) The electrician was very friendly and courteous. He cleaned up after his mess and worked in a timely manner. I had him over to install a light fixture that would hang over my entry way and he was sure to include me on placement and gave suggestions as to what would give me the best lighting and still be user friendly for light bulb changes. I would recommend them to anyone and plan to have them back for future electric fixes.

Our local ISP has contracted Travis Electric to do the final inside install of fiber optic internet…read moreinto their customer's homes. As is typical of electricians installing low voltage cable and equipment their work leaves a lot to be desired. I wasn't able to be home when they were doing the install so I wrote down specific instructions of how I wanted everything installed and what needed to be switched on the modem so it would work properly with my own equipment. Not only could they not follow basic instructions of where to put the equipment but THEY DRILLED A HOLE THROUGH THE DINING ROOM FLOOR instead of running the fiber optic cable up along the existing phone cable. Someone who was home at the time mentioned this and the installer said it wouldn't work which is BS as that phone line was installed after the house was finished. The installer just was lazy and didn't give a damn so he went with the easiest route. Now I have an exposed fiber cable IN FRONT OF THE COUNTER in my kitchen. To say I'm pissed is a colossal understatement, as now not only does the equipment need to be moved but the cable run needs to be redone as well as he didn't even leave enough slack for it to properly reach the modem. It's blatantly obvious that you don't train your techs on how to install low-voltage cable and equipment at all, as this install is the most pathetic excuse of a "professional" install that I've ever seen and I've seen multiple rats nests of cables. It's clear that the only reason your company won the bid to complete these installs is that you were the cheapest option and it really shows. To anyone who's looking to have this company install any wired internet or camera systems: RUN FAR AWAY. I'm not even sure I would trust them to properly install electrical equipment if this install is representative of their other work. They're never stepping foot in my house again and now our ISP will have to spend more time and money sending one of their own techs out to fix this mess if I'm not able to fix it myself. To top it off the installer tried to take two pieces of MY EQUIPMENT that is from two brands that our ISP has *NEVER* used for *ANY* of their customers. Thankfully someone who was home stopped him from taking the more important piece but he ended up taking another one with him that I thankfully got back the next day after multiple pissed off phone calls. This whole experience has been a complete shit-show and I will *NEVER* do any business with this company if I can avoid it. And *NEVER, EVER* have an electrician install low-voltage cable, as this is the type of workmanship you can expect from most of them if they aren't trained on how to properly install this type of equipment.
