We love Toddy's!!!! We stumbled upon this liquor store the first time we arrived in Knoxville…read more They have good wine sales/prices and an extensive selection of high end bourbon. We were hitting up a bunch of shows and rather than pay venue beverage prices we planned to enjoy a beverage at our hotel before strolling to a show. This liquor store is across from Kroger's and the parking lot is a triangle. The first time we were not sure where the entrance was located because of the odd shaped triangle lot. Seriously this is before we drank wine. They had a nice selection of wine and really good sale prices. We picked out a few wineries that I had never heard of like Portlandia and one other New Zealand wine that was on clearance. When we visited again in 2023 we noticed they had an extended selection of bourbon's including several Japanese brands behind the counter. As with the bourbon market these days the availability seems to be the favorable feature not competitive pricing. The staff is very friendly and they make really good use of the available shelf space considering it is not a big store. I would much rather shop Toddy's instead of a big box store because they have comparable if not better prices, good selection and the people we spoke to were very knowledgeable about their products.

The people who work at The Corner Market on 13th are rude. One of the cashier's uses his middle…read morefinger on the register every time he rings something up which is unnecessary. Furthermore the owner and manager are also rude. The owner has way to serious of an attitude which makes him hard to talk to about stocking something you continually need and would buy there. One of the other employees has horrible hygiene and can be seen smoking outside of the store at any given time. That employee once falsley accused me of yelling at the employee who uses his bird finger to ring you up. The store doesn't have prices on anything and the register doesn't display your total as the cashier is ringing you up. In fact, your total is never displayed and they never give you a reciept. The store is conveniently located but the convenience they offer isn't worth being disrespected.

He is very informed about his wine, and said he doesn't carry anything that he hasn't personally tasted. They have a new closeout wine wall section which offers some really great deals. If you are ever searching for something just ask Clarence and he will do his darnedest to get it for you. He also has some great bottles that are a little pricier. For those wine snobs out there, I was able to locate a 2007, 2008, & 2009 Jordan Napa Cabernet Sauvignon selection. Those were delicious! If you find yourself on this side of town then stop in here and check it out. I prefer daytime hours over the night as the pan-handlers can get a little out of control. Hope you like this little store as much as I do. Cheers & Enjoy!

Clarence, the owner, was quick to offer assistance and plenty of friendly conversation. He suggested several of his favorite wines from Clarence's 'Hall of Fame', all in varying price points.
