My new favorite Florida Mall treat. Mangos, peeled into spaghetti seasoned with a host of flavors! What a cool healthy idea. My favorite so far is the lime, pepper, chili and salt! The other flavors look tantalizing. I have to visit more often to get them all in. Fir Jadon to like it, it must be good! He's tip toeing on the healthy side kicking and screaming! Green Mango has edge on in to our top ten! Explore the flavors, this really is a Miami style way of eating MANGOS!

Do I think I possibly had unrealistic expectations revolved around my dreams of visiting Parisian…read morechocolate shops and patisseries? Yes. Was I still so delighted by the atmosphere and magical treats? Also yes. I went straight for chocolate truffles, as I think macaroons are much harder to nail. I cannot remember the exact names of what I tried, and they do switch up what's available. Chili dark chocolate: it was named to indicate it has heat, but I wanted more heat. If you are a dark chocolate and chili girlie, this won't itch that scratch for you. The chocolate was good quality though, so in no way a waste of calories. Pistachio chocolate: could have used a little more nutty flavor in the profile, but nicely balanced overall. Rose chocolate: bought this because it was pretty, wound up being one of my favorites! A nice sparkly flavor, slight touch of floral. Dark cherry: Yum! A hint of sweet tartness and deep rich chocolate. I would say the treats were a 4 star level, but the ambiance, the beautiful windows, and the lovely team members bumped this up to a 5 out of 5!

They have so types of Harry Porter themes candies, including butter beer and sea salt. They also had such a big collection of macarons and truffles. Each of had about 12 flavors. Half dozen macarons were around $20 and half dozen truffles were about $18. We ordered half a dozen truffles to try. We mixed multiple flavors. It took them few minutes to prepare the order and they called out the name at pick up counter. I really liked the truffles. They had a hard but delicious outer chocolate layer. But the center had soft melted filling. Blackberry Lavender and Ton-Tongue Toffee were my favorite two flavors.

So I recently had the chance to stop by Patel Brothers Supermarket for the first time this weekend…read moreand I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how huge this store is! Located on Orange Blossom Trail, Patel Brothers is a grocery store specializing in Indian goods, spices, and produce. This store has its own parking lot with plenty of available parking for easy access. Upon entering, I was amazed of how well lit and organized this store is! Each section was very neat and well stocked...making our shopping experience that much easier. What I actually liked the most about this spot is that they have a hot foods bar serving up pastries, curries, and rice options. Now a few things I do need to point out... is that I did notice some of the produce were actually past their prime and have not been rotated out in a timely fashion. Also, for service wise it seemed like everyone was pretty much just there to work... so I definitely didn't get that warm inviting feel. Overall, I think Patel Brothers is a great option if you are ever in need of a variety of Indian spices and goods. I will definitely be back the next time i'm around the area.

When you enter the first automatic door, you see the famous auto rickshaw used in India (I think you can take a photo op as well), and the carts. The second door takes you inside the shop. The produce section is the first thing you see, and it isn't just Indian and American produce. Oriental produce is also offered. Prices are reasonable, but the quality can be a hit or miss. In the back there is a fresh bakery section where you can get chapatis (flat Indian bread). My dad enjoys them and the prices are also fair. The bakery also offers Indian desserts and drinks. I love their ras malai (4-6 dollars depending on the size), which is ricotta cheese in a milk sauce. It's restaurant quality and the balls are perfect density (not too spongy or mushy). The only catch in the bakery section is that you have to pay the goods in advance from that counter. That's because people seem to enjoy eating/drinking them inside the store. We also get other Indian goods, and the prices can be either cheap or expensive. However, they do offer promotions, especially during the Diwali holidays. My mom does occasionally get frozen South Indian vegetarian foods in the freezer isle, and they are enjoyable. The checkout area is a bit small, but not too much of wait if the crowd isn't huge. Most of the staff are friendly, but it can depend on their mood that day. If it does get crowded, it can get cramped and chaotic. There can be occasional arguments between staffs and customers due to stress. The overall store is at least clean, and the bathrooms are pretty good too. This store is located near Florida Mall, which can sometimes have a bit of traffic. However, parking is pretty ample and not too difficult to find if not crowded. I believe the store used to be a Bravo before Patel Bros took over. We used to shop at House of Spices a couple miles further as it was more humble and welcoming, but Patel Bros has all the groceries we need. Even though Patel Bros is a corporation with lots of stores in multiple locations, it is still the ideal store for us to get our Indian groceries. While I prefer shopping more at a mom and pop store, I still find Patel Bros a decent Indian store. Overall: B-
