It is recommended to install a radon mitigation system for values that exceed 4.0pCi/L. After receiving 5 estimates (some from vendors that didn't want to visit our home), we settled on Genesis Radon. Adam came out, inspected our basement and walked the perimeter of our home. He has 18+ years of experience, is an Ohio licensed radon specialist and contractor. He is a member of various industry groups, and is Better Business Bureau "A+" Accredited. And this is important because as I researched other radon mitigation bids, some had BBB complaints. Genesis Radon had no complaints. He also offers multiple warranties: Lifetime effectiveness warranty means your values will always be at or below 3.9pCi/L; a 30-year workmanship warranty, and a 5-year manufacturer's warranty on the mitigation fan. After installing our system, Adam set up his radon testing equipment and ran a test for 3 days. The result? We are UNDER 1.0pCi/L. Based on his expertise, quality of work and our results, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND Genesis Radon for your mitigation needs!

He was able to get me a very thorough inspection report within a few hours which was very helpful given my contingency timeframe. He was early to the inspection and had already completed the majority of the exterior walk around before we even arrived. He walked up through everything, highlighting important fixes and bringing awareness to smaller (or cosmetic) fixes as well. He was kind, patient, and very very very thorough. As first time home buyers, we were extremely overwhelmed. Alex helped us to understand that no home would be perfect, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't worth it, or fixable! While I do think Brian caught a lot of things, was very helpful explaining things there, and took a lot of pictures and videos - he missed a few big things. My first day with the keys I realized the kitchen counter was not at all attached to the kitchen counter and there was a leak in the pipes underneath the kitchen sink. After living there for two days the handle to the shower faucet broke off completely - this might not have been something he could've caught but I feel like as an inspector you would typically have a better eye than the average person for things like that. Although I did think that Brian was good at explaining everything, I was just a bit disappointed to find these things immediately.
