I had dreams of a massive vegie and herb patch - right up until I noticed the herds of bush turkey's who live in my hard. Yes, herds. So no garden patch for me. Good news, I still have a deck! Growing in pots is good for some places, but in Brisbane they dry out too quickly and everything ends up stunted. I went to the Hydroponic Warehouse for a bit of advice, and it turns out hydroponics isn't just something that uni students do in wardrobes to grow dope. It's actually a great way to grow awesome vegies (and flowers) inside or outside. The service here is great, and they're just as happy to sell you cheap parts for DIY as they are to sell you a whiz bang top of the line kit. The entrance make this place appear small from the outside, but inside is a whole other story. It is bigger than I thought and jam packed with a variety of beautiful plants and decorative ornaments. Also, lots of pretty umbrella's for sale here! When I walked in recently, the staff at the desk was initially not facing my way as she was doing work, but quickly turned around to wave and greet me 'hello'. It was so lovely of her to make the effort! As I walked through the nursery picking some plants and flowers, the wonderful man gardening the plants turns around to ask, how's my day and if I needed some assistance. I reassured him, that I'm fine and happy to browse around. I cannot stress enough how kind and helpful the staff at this nursery are. If not for the wonderful plants, then visit for the best shopping experience for gardens and nurseries. It would cheer up anyones day!
