I called in to grab some soil because was attempting to re-pot a plant and ended up browsing around which was surprisingly enjoyable. It definitely has a warehouse feel but it is quite bright and open and earthy. They have soil, plants, pavers, hardware plus heaps more. In short, they seemed to have everything you could need for your garden or for landscaping.

It was so lovely of her to make the effort! As I walked through the nursery picking some plants and flowers, the wonderful man gardening the plants turns around to ask, how's my day and if I needed some assistance. I reassured him, that I'm fine and happy to browse around. I cannot stress enough how kind and helpful the staff at this nursery are. If not for the wonderful plants, then visit for the best shopping experience for gardens and nurseries. It would cheer up anyones day!

You'll be drawn in like a bee to pollen. Outside of being an extremely pretty nursery, it's also got some very cool plants that are considered a bit of a rare find in these metropolitan parts. Amid their fruit and veggie section was a small pineapple plant. Now, I'm a bit of a gardening nut, and I haven't seen any pineapple plants for sale anywhere in Brisbane. When asking the owner as to why this is the case, he replied with "well, I guess it's just easy to buy a pineapple from the store, and then if you want another pineapple, you can just cut off it's head and put it in the ground, and it'll grow. There's no real need to sell them as plants". But he still does, and I think it's great. He's also got infant versions of iconic trees like white jacarandas and yellow flame trees. Rosalie Village Garden is so crammed with plants it looks a bit like a jungle. If you can find the owner through the greenery, just ask him what you're looking for, because he's far better equipped to help you out in an efficient manner. Even if you're not a green thumb, I'm sure most people would appreciate this tucked away humble little haven on an otherwise high end cosmopolitan strip.

There is something very homely about this gardening nursery. Without sounding too corny, the plants look happy and alive here. Although it may not be very large, there is a large selection of plants here. I am not an expert in gardening but from what I noticed there was a good range of flower pots, herbs, vegetable gardening equipment and garden decorations. It would be easy for a place so small with such a range to become cluttered but surprisingly everything the place is well organised. At the moment, they have really cute small sized Xmas (pine) trees which are an excellent size for many of the homes in the area since Rosalie has many apartment buildings. 'Rosalie Village Garden' is the answers to anyone with a green thumb living who do not want to drive 20-30 minutes outbound to buy their plants and gardening goods.

Walking past I was always impressed by this stores flower displays, they always seem to have something 10x more exotic than the sad droopy things I used to buy at Coles. Being in a central location, they are run off their feet some of the time but the staff still manage to have some time for a laugh or a nice word with the customers. Having been the recipient of a Flowers By Jane delivery, I have always been chuffed with how long the blooms manage to last. I also love their range of bouquets (favourites being the long stemmed roses and their Australian Natives varieties) Next special occasion I am definitely coming back here.

I walked past here yesterday in fact and it was the sparkling pearls in the window that drew me in like a moth to a flame, rather than the flowers. They have some nice arrangements of flowers as well as gifts like balloons and novelties. The necklaces are really beautiful, some jewelled, some pearls and some a combination of both.

It's a fairly small hardware store, so I shouldn't have been surprised to find they only had three compost bins in stock, but I was disappointed with the lack of range and also the lack of interest displayed by the salesperson. The compost bins didn't have prices on them and the salesperson could only give prices "off the top of his head", which didn't really make me want to buy from there. I also went to look at some small flowering plants inside, but didn't find anything of interest and found it a bit expensive. I went there just for the nursery side of things, so can't comment on the hardware section of the store, but would recommend going elsewhere for plants and gardening needs.

We wanted to purchase some rocks for our driveway. Once we decided, we booked in a time for delivery and the guys showed up on time - bonus! - however, there was a slight problem ...they delivered the wrong rocks!! We called them back once we realised and while they couldn't rectify it immediately as it was a busy Sunday (and their supplier was closed), it was pretty close! Craig (CJ) came back at the end of the day to have a chat, understand the issue and agree a way forward. He arrived bright and early Monday to remove the incorrect rocks (without us even hearing him!) and returned as agreed to re-lay the correct blue stone. He was extremely apologetic, did this all on his own time, and did it all with a smile on his face. Yes, it would have been terrific if this hadn't happened in the first place, however, we all know things can go wrong! The thing we liked the most was the great customer service we received from CJ as soon as he found out we hadn't received what we were supposed to! Right from that point he was only focused on rectifying the situation and ensuring we were satisfied customers. For that, we'd like to say Thank You!

This is the place to visit…read more Oddly enough, right next the the Westside BMW dealership (they share parking) and smack bang in the middle of Darra's industrial area, this place has been around since I've been in Brisbane. There is a crazy range of bromeliads (a whole tent full) and overhanging, underhanging and side hanging plants to choose from, there's a wider range of hedge plants, flowering plants and a pretty good range of fruit trees as well (these will set you back about $30). There is also a restaurant called Verdant which serve a pretty good salmon main and the service is pretty good. The coffee's aren't bad as well, but it would be an idea to book as it does get pretty busy. What I love about this place is the giftshop. It isn't just a gift shop that sells the weird stuff you put in your house and garden, it is an excellent place to shop for gifts or whatnot for your kids as well. It has a pretty decent kids section, where there are cute baby onesies with crazy logos on them, kiddie gardening gloves, kiddie cook books, book dividers, very cute bath toys, and stuffed toys. Even kiddie books! Such a good array, you will always find something here for your green thumbed little man or lady. Make them assist you in the garden with style! On the flipside, I also bought a $5 outside broom here from Italy, great broom, still have it! The plants here are a little dearer than your cornerstore garden centre, but they have a pretty wide range as well.

Garden Way is a lovely, peaceful place that provides all those things, and I suppose it can thank it's out of the way location for the lack of crowds. The location does mean most Brisbanites would only go there when that's the sole purpose of their trip, but the good news is you can kill a lot of time here so it's worth the drive. The homewares part is really beautiful, with gorgeous decor, divine smelling moisturisers and various little bits and pieces. The nursery is not quite as big as some of the others in Brisbane, but it is decent enough with a good range of plants, pots of all shapes and sizes, and decorative features for the garden. The restaurant section is nestled in between the nursery and the homewares section, and they serve delicious and unique quality meals, drinks and desserts. This is a place I often visit with the numerous generations of females in my family, for a bit of a wistful shop and a tasty meal.
