First of all, they responded to my request super quickly, made their schedule available and flexible, that took our anxiety off our shoulders right away :) On the scheduled day, gentleman who's name is Andrey came for our rescue. He was communicative, on time, just a great person overall. He is also right on point, no bull. His diagnoses were thorough but quick, and he's got to work immediately. He found all the faulty jobs the previous contractor did, made everything work properly. He was working with their plumbing specialist via phone camera to look over everything physical, as he is a HVAC technician - which he was tremendously, tremendously knowledgeable. I can not thank him and Green Flow Solution enough for their fantastic ability, these guys are a real deal. Oh, did I mention they were very reasonably priced? We will be calling them for our every heater/HVAC/plumbing /AC needs in the future!! read more

I think this is my first review that isn't positive on Yelp. But I feel like I was just ripped off. Basically, Aundrey came here for less than one hour and cleaned the dust off the the coils of both of my air conditioners for $650 and didn't even complete the job. He did not have a wet/dry vac so he used mine. He did not bring a ladder so he used mine. He did not provide replacement filters. Breakdown of the cost: From the invoice- 'Service call fee covers technician's trip to the job site, including travel time and transportation costs.' I asked Aundrey where he came from. He said from the office which is right here in Newton. 2.6 miles. 8 minutes. = $150 First Air Conditioner: He diagnosed it immediately. Then he cleaned the coils with a brush and he used my vac as well. Look, I have no problem with him using my equipment. I just never had a worker not have his own tools. I had already bought a new filter for this air conditioner so he didn't have to replace it. Total time, about 15 minutes. = $250 Second Air Conditioner which is in the attic. There is nothing in the attic but the air conditioner unit and we do not go up there ever. You need a ladder to get up there. Aundrey didn't have one. He used one of mine. Same problem. Also, This unit needed a new filter as well and it's a different size than the one downstairs. Aundrey left it without a filter and gave me the size of the filter I should get so that I can install it myself. Again, I can't get up in the attic because I'm physically limited. So my air conditioner is currently running right now with no filter. So, he cleaned the coils for about 20 minutes and left the job undone. = $250. Invoice: $150 Travel Time and Transportation costs. $250 Coil Cleaning and installing a filter that I provided. $250 Coil Cleaning and leaving the unit without a filter _________ $650 Oh, and this nonsense about them getting back to you in 10 minutes, it's an automatic text that tells you to call them. I called after I didn't hear from them for an hour or so. That's a big sum when Aundrey took an hour total including his drive time of 8 minutes and the gas he must have used to go 2.6 miles and then not finish the job while using my tools. read more

Extremely poor customer service and dishonest practices. I paid for two service calls to evaluate my mini-split system for repair. This was just to get a quote for repair. I received one text message from stating $2k to $2.5k. I later was told this was not official. I have repeatedly called back to get status updates on a formal quote for repair. I have been given multiple excuses, always 'tomorrow they will try'. Very unprofessional and with no regard for the customer. Could have no bid the job and not charged for visiting. read more

Contacted Green Flow on Sunday, and they were in on Monday morning to fix my boiler. They had great communication via phone and text, and were on time when they said they would arrive (10am). My boiler was fixed in 1.5hrs, replacing the water pump and thermocouple, and the bill was reasonable. I'm very satisfied with the results. read more

Green Flow was absolutely amazing. We had an issue with an old boiler where we were trying to replace multiple parts (circulation pump, blower motor, etc.). Andrey came, quickly and accurately identified the issue, saved us from unnecessary repairs! He placed us on the right path and changed only what was needed. Green Flow used tactic of booking an early appointment without sending the plumber the day and delayed dispatch the next day. The plumber was a no show for the first day and late 2 hrs next day. The plumber arrived 10 min to 2PM and opened the boiler chamber and found that the heat exchanger and exhaust pipe needed cleaning Since the plumber (likely a subcontractor) had his truck in shop, he was gone to purchase tools in Watertown for 2 hours (2pm-4pm) . After he assembled the shop vac (9 gal) he purchased(for 15 minutes), he worked less than 2 hours till 6pm. Hanna of the office sent a bill for $620 with no itemization, no prior estimate or no hourly rate, especially when the diagnosis and the scope of the work was determined upon arrival. The plumber was likely called for the job while he was at roofing job since he came in a roofing truck. Mostly importantly, the plumber Tim failed to contain the soot dust by using an inapproprite shop vac (4-5 Gal) instead of soot snoot vaccum. As Tim who loosened soot with a brush with his right hand, he collected only half of the dust generated with wide attachment of the small shop vac with left hand. My husband started cleaning the floor as soon as Tim left with a mop and rags for 3.5 hours with no break or supper from 6PM till 930 PM. My husband's lungs were exposed to the concentrated sticky soot dust particles a known carcinogen for almost 5.5 hours that night. When my husband came up to take a shower, he looked like a coal minor from a coal mine and left foot steps of soots all the way to the second floor. Please never let your plumber use an ordinary shop vac to collect soots from an oil furnace. An ordinary shop vac is not to be used for soot cleaning. Some use it with water and some use Large sized shop vac. Tim did none of it. In fact he even took off the filter from the unit. While my husband was watching him entire time, fine dust of sticky soot known to cause lung cancer contaminated air and everything in the entire finished basement. Hire Green Flow to clean your oil furnace if you don't mind contamination of your home and your family's lung with carcinogen at hefty cost of $620 for less than 2 hours during which he changed filter and cleaned the nozzle as in annual maintenance. read more

They worked through every difficulty in removing my old air conditioner and installing the new one until the project was complete. The A/C is working great. Andrey was amazing. He shows up faster than nearly anyone, always on time and very professional: any weather, any day of the week. It is exceptional. A lot of times when we hire these types of professionals there is always some level of skepticism on the value of their service. But not Andrey. He tries to fix everything as efficiently as possible with an eye on your bottom line and yet properly, for the long haul. He even tells you which part to order so you know exactly how much the parts cost (vs others where they give you one price and won't tell you the cost for labor vs parts). Most importantly, he tries to actually understand the root problem rather than some more general and likely more expensive fix. Or furnace completely stopped working just as we entered into a cold snap AND we had out of town family visiting for the weekend. Our inside temps got down to the low 40s. The company we had been working with for years took their time in responding, told us the control board was fried and would be $1000 to fix before they could then determine if there were any additional problems and it would take several days for the part to arrive, and strongly suggested we replace the whole system and continue to go without heat for over a week before they could do so. I called Green Flow for a second opinion and they came out immediately (Andrey was actually even earlier than they estimated he could get there). He fixed the furnace easily in a matter of minutes with $0 in parts. Turns out it was a loose wire and 10 minutes into his visit my house was warming up again (after 4 days at this point of no heat). I could not be more impressed with the urgency they acted under, the professionalism and respect they gave us in our home, and the competence with which the situation was handled. read more
