Like a few others on here I had been using green drop for a few years and pretty happy with service. However due to costs increasing decided not renew service with them for 2026. Imaging my surprise when I came home last week to a green drop sign on my lawn and an invoice for service I didn't request. I had no prior service notice otherwise I would have called. I have subsequently emailed the centre and made sure no more service calls are made but I have an invoice still to pay. Unacceptable read more

They are a BIG SCAM. They DO NOT honor what THEY advertise on their site. BEWARE. They just want to UPSELL you to make the almighty buck. I had canceled my subscription last year by calling them. I was told at the time, my service was successfully cancelled. However, while I was away, it seems like they had come by this year and sprayed my lawn. When I came home, I noticed their little sign but thought they might have incorrectly put this up. However, they called me, telling me, I owe some balance for this year. I did call them back and told them I had cancelled last year and they should not be even coming on my property as I didn't authorize it. Seems like they are running a scam and when someone cancels, they don't actual cancel your service and automatically renew it. I will take further actions and lodge a complaint against them. read more

I did not order a green drop services, but today I came home to an unfortunate surprise. The Green Drop applied their chemicals on my natural lawn and put the little sign that Green Drop leaves after the work is complete. My 14 y.o. heard footsteps in the backyard and the backdoor bell and was scared thinking sombody is trying to break in. We let the dog out in the garden before we found the Green Drop sign in our front yard. Now I am worried that my dog is going to get sick. I've been growing clovers and other ground covers and had an organic garden. Today they killed three years of my work. I was not home and they applied their product without confirming the address. They did the work without our approval, so technically the green drop technician trespassed on to my property. This is the second time they came. I was lucky at the first time and explained the technician he has a wrong address. I followed up with the company, sending an email to Green Drop asking them to make sure they do not come back to my place. Green drop ignored all my notes. I cannot describe how my kids and I feel right now. We are heartbroken. The garden we loved and cared for has been destroyed. This is not acceptable. I hope Green Drop will find a solution to make sure they work at the right address. My next step is to file a complaint with the BBB and I will see what else can be done to attract attention to the incident. read more

Hands down the WORST customer service EVER! We received an email saying "service completed" which would lead anyone to think....YUP, the service was completed. Then tried calling and chatting in inquire which is like trying to talk to the President, GOOD LUCK! When we finally did get through we were met with absolute contempt and rudeness. This business used to be professional and cared about their customers, now, its as if its an inconvenience for them to have to deal with a customer. If we could give less than one star we would. If I could give no stars & negative to this company I would. Tuesday my neigbors had their lawn aerated by green drop & the person that did it hit my 3ft decorative fence with the machine. Damaged the fence & made it wobbly & uneven & even broke some pickets. I have a video of the person doing it & how he wrenched on the fence. Contacted green drop & they said they would have someone call me either Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning to help with matter & come to satisfaction in regards to this. Well NO ONE Contacted me & it is now late Friday evening. They could care less that they did damage to someone elses property. People should stay away from companies like this that don't seem to care about their employees actions on other peoples property. So a NEGATIVE Star would be better. read more

I just signed up with Greendrop for clearing my sidewalks of snow this winter. It snowed on Thursday and they cleared my walks Friday morning. It snowed again on Saturday and they cleared my walks before noon on Sunday. I am very impressed so far and hope they keep up this great service. I wasnt going to write a review because I dont want them to get too busy but could not stop myself. Their price was also the best I could find. read more

They always force customers who are on their contact list to renew their service subscription without any permission. The arbitrary actions: 1. send an email to you showing their special offers. 2. send an email notification to you one day before the 'service' starts even though you have never subscribed to any services for that year. 3. repeat the same tactic every year. When you contact them, they just say that it was a mistake. How can they make this kind of 'mistakes' throughout every year? read more

I wish there was no stars! Booked a single application for my rental homes backyard and nothing happened after multiple calls and check-ins. I understand what they do is weather dependent, but that was not a factor here! My 4th call to find out where they were led to the customer service rep saying they sprayed my primary residence and not to worry they will do my rental homes backyard for free as it was their mistake. I said, "Don't you leave a sign and an invoice copy after you do your work?", this is why I used to like Green Drop in the past. She replied, "Yes'. Well I explained there was no sign and no invoice copy so your crew was never here! I asked to have the Crew call me with a time as the weeds were getting larger coming up on three weeks (and I pulled all I could). The Crew called me and said yes we have the right property address now. My previous 3 calls instructed backyard only. I asked him what were you told to spray, he replied, "Front yard only". Gaaaahk! I told him my front yard on the property is a flower bed and I have repeatedly asked for only the backyard grass to be done. Again they didn't show when they said, so I called to get a refund and asked when can I expect my credit card to be credited? The girl had no clue, so I asked to speak with the manager, left a voice mail requesting a call back with that info, more than a week went by. Just today I called in to find the girl never put in the refund request at all! I was cordial but admit I was frustrated...all I wanted was one application of environmentally safe weed spray to my rental properties backyard...how hard is that??? Of note, Green Drop charged my credit card immediately after my first telephone call to set up the appointment, not cool! What happened to charging when the work is completed??? I've asked around and recenly heard similar stories about Green Drop, who ever is driving the ship there now definitely had zero organizational skills or customer service! My husband and I bought a premium package for my mother's lawn. The technician, Matthew, pulled up in the Green Drop truck in the front of the house and looked at the lawn. Then he pulled out the hose, looked around and put the hose back into the truck, and put a Green Drop sign on the lawn. He then drove to the back of the house, got out Of the truck, looked around, went back in to his truck and drove off. This guy obviously didn't do his job, however, the company said they would check into it and refunded us. Still, lawn was not done, how disappointing is that? I too think there shouldn't even be a star! We went with them this year and never again after the horrible service we have received. We called for our first application after the weeds where getting out of control they said they would come in 10 days, fed up of how our yard was looking after 6 days we emailed them they came 2 days after the email. Our yard still full of weeds we emailed again for them to come got a response that they would be out the only week we are now on 2 weeks and waiting for them to come. I only wish I would have looked into green drop before hand because not one person has had a good experience with them, NOT ONE! For a company that grantees no weeds they sure fail everyone. I wish there was a zero star. We started out with a very healthy lawn, with maybe 10 dandilions and thought we would try Green Drop - professionals this year. We now have a weed infested lawn, after numerous calls where the wrong application was done, only half of the lawn so one side is twice as long as the other. I booked the summer lawn fertilizer and weed control package this year, after taking a year off and moving houses. While initially there was some confusion with my address on file, Greendrop was diligent in following up with me through multiple calls/messages to ensure that they had the correct information. When the application date they gave me turned out to be too rainy, they gave me a courtesy call to advise me that they would be out the following day and showed up early as promised. Very impressed with the attention to customer service. Would highly recommend Greendrop. read more

the worst lawn service, i called for a basic package last year just for the season they do their job and everything alright. when it comes to this year i did not even request for their services and they keep coming and spraying my lawn with their "lawn care product" and expect me to pay for it, i already pay $100 dollar for two of their services which i did not even request. and they send me another email today that they will be coming tomorrow, which i did not request also. I am truly disappointed with Green Drop. I purchased a new home in Olds, Alberta and found out that the previous owners have been using the seasonal service of Green Drop (3 times a year) so I decided to continue it. It was explained that the first application would be in April. May comes along and nothing.........So after my 4th call and complaint they finally show at the end on may. Well after the lawn has established dandelions and the self moisture that the fertilizer would have done well in. Now I get an email that my 2nd application would be done on July 3rd........I come back from holidays and no application but a message on my phone "Our guy is there and doesn't know where to apply" ............. So he leaves and does nothing.........Are you kidding me!! Phone your fricken office and find out you dumb ass. This is not the first application done to the place. So its been another 2 weeks now and still no 2nd application........ For the $600 dollars a year I could have done it myself and maybe will. read more

Let me start off by stating I DO NOT RECOMMEND Green Drop Lawns Ltd. - Calgary Like other reviews I have read regarding Green Drop Lawns Ltd. - Calgary I wish I could give this company zero stars. On August 24th, 2016 at approximately 1:00 pm my vehicle was parked in front of my property. At this time a Green Drop Commercial Vehicle came by to do lawn service at my property. A short time later my neighbor came by to inform me that she had witnessed the Green Drop Truck collide with the side of my vehicle. When I went out to investigate the Green Drop Truck was gone and there was a large dent in the driver's door of my vehicle (over $3,000.00 in damages per multiple repair estimates.) There was no note left at the scene or any other evidence that the operator tried to contact me regarding the collision. The Green Drop Truck was spotted a few houses away so I approached the operator to inquire about the collision and to exchange contact information. The operator denied hitting my vehicle and was very uncooperative, refusing to provide his driver's license information, vehicle insurance and vehicle registration. In fact, the operator tried to obstruct my view of the license plate of the Green Drop Vehicle and the company phone number on its side. Only After I told the operator that the entire collision was witnessed by my neighbor, who was in her front yard at the time and that I would be calling the police and Green Drops office to report the collision did the operator admit to the collision and agree to exchange information. Immediately after getting the operators information I contacted the Green Drop Office to report the collision. Next I drove my vehicle to the local police station and reported the incident. Later in the day I was contacted by the area manager for Green Drop. The Area Manager also admitted that Green Drop was at fault and requested to pay for the damages in cash rather than going through Green Drops Insurance. The manager requested a repair quote which I provided on September 7, 2016. On September 19, 2016 Green Drop requested a second repair quote from their preferred Autobody shop. I provided the second quote on October 3, 2016. I contacted Green Drop on multiple occasions to inquire on the payment status for the damages they did to my vehicle. I was provided with multiple excuses but no payment. This is very poor customer service. Nearly 90 days after the collision my vehicle remained damaged and I was still unpaid by Green Drop. At this point I contacted my insurance company to file a claim against Green Drops Auto Insurance. The service from my auto insurance company was excellent. Within 24 hr. an adjustor had been to my house to review the damages to my vehicle and Green Drop was found to be 100% at fault for the collision. That same day my vehicle is booked in for repairs and a rental car was reserved for me. I was also informed by my insurance company that Green Drops insurance company would be responsible for paying for the replacement of the child booster seats in my vehicle and the use of a rental vehicle while mine is repaired. Lesson learned! I'm not sure how my insurance company could get all of this done in 24hrs while Green Drop got nothing done in nearly 90 days! Not only did Green Drop fail to pay me the over $3,000.00 in damages, they have had the audacity to aggressively harass me via email and phone calls for payment of amounts of approximately $100. I agree with others that there should be no stars for this company. My yard had never looked worse till date. They claim they did overseeding on a day when I was on vacation, next day after 1st application, and I can clearly make out that its not true. Half of my yard is dead, and I have to replace half of my lawn!! And worse is their customer service personnel who are answering the phone. They slam the phone down when somebody complains about being not getting satisfactory service!! Terrible 'customer service' anyways. read more

Lawn care - sneaky + irresponsible service My service with Green Drop is one-word a nightmare. I don't know whether this company wants to continue with their business operation. I read some of the comments that have a similarity - dishonest practice. Before it happens this year, they would let you do the renewal yourself. I was also recommended by my neighbour. My neighbor scheduled a lawn care some day, the retired old couple was waiting for anyone from Green Drop to come, nobody showed up. They called their Calgary office and wanted to see what was going on. That female representative was showing extremely impatience and just wanted to hang them up right away. For my case, it just freshly happened. I paid it in full. But I have found out there's another bill was put by the door and my credit card was charged then, so I called them which I kind of expect what would be like after what I heard from my neighbor. The lady over the phone was saying that they left a voice message about getting the service, once they didn't hear from me, they would automatically resume the services. I was shocked by what she had said. I said what do you mean by assuming I would continue if they hadn't heard from us? That's without my consent!!! Was nearly ran off the road today by a man in a Green Drop vehicle on deerfoot at 17th ave heading southbound. His lane was coming to a stop so he decided to swerve into my lane with any warning nearly slamming into me. I gave him the horn, to which he gave me the finger! Then as I drive by, did the cry baby hand gesture to me. Not a "sorry, didn't see you there" gesture, seeing as how he was in a company vehicle. This man was white, in his late 20's to early 30's, with a brown straggly beard. He was driving a white GMC Sierra license plate # BJN 3904. I am thoroughly disgusted! This is supposed to be a reputable business and their drivers are completely reckless and ignorant? Clearly this man thinks very little of his company, and that speaks volumes to me about this business. I can say that not only will I be posting this on every available review website I can, but I will be strongly recommending that no one use Green Drop's services, after such cocky disregard not only to my safety, but everybody else's safety too! If I could give zero stars I would! We booked our deep root fertilization and vegetation control in April. They charged our credit card right away, fine if you are actually going to do the work. In the quote we received we were told it covered the entire service only to get a call a few hours later saying the girl we spoke to, Rochelle, was new and miss quoted by 30 dollars and we needed to pay more. My husband said no and to honor the quote they originally gave us or we would go elsewhere. Also we had signed up for the yearly maintenance and said we would be fine with the charge adjustment from that point on. The crew came and did the deep root fertilization a couple of weeks after we booked and my plants look great, however we are almost 2 months past the original call and the weeds now look like plants themselves. They have received payment for work that has yet to be done. We called again in May to see where they were and we were told they don't do vegetation control until June, fine, but when in June can we expect that? We were told they would call us. It is now June 9th and I had to call again and was told they will only NOW be putting in a work order for this coming Sunday which means it won't be done until "sometime" next week, they can't give me a specific day but we will get an email the day before. I have never gotten such terrible service for lawn care in the past. I feel as if we are being punished for insisting they honor their original quote. Once this is done we will be taking ourselves off the yearly maintenance agreement and finding a new Lawn care provider.
