After we decided to proceed with Chinook, they gave us a timeline for the project and then surprised us when they were able to start much much earlier than anticipated. The foreman, James, and his team worked quickly and efficiently on the project, achieving more per day than we expected. I paid $341.50 in advance for a full-season lawn care package from Yard Dawgs Lawn Care. Only one visit was completed. The first visit was done without any notice and was poorly executed. I posted a 1-star review at that time, which prompted a phone call from the company. After that, I removed the review in good faith. During the call and in multiple follow-up emails, I clearly explained that, due to my medical situation, I required advance notice for any future visits. This was ignored. On Canada Day, they scheduled a visit with less than 24 hours' notice, via a generic email with no time window. When I reasonably expressed frustration, I was falsely accused of using inappropriate language, and my account was immediately cancelled. This accusation is completely untrue, and I have written proof that my communication was respectful, though firm. I had to follow up twice to receive my refund. There was no apology for the false accusation or the disregard for my medical and personal needs as a senior. To make matters worse, their public response to my Google review misrepresents the situation and falsely implies misconduct on my part. I view this as retaliatory and damaging to my reputation.
