Every item does have a memory tied to it and is very difficult to let go though I've been making new memories and have been filtering some items that have no use especially when it's been tucked away for year without knowing it was there I know it was time to downsize. Many items in my opinion is in great condition as is still deeply loved know that it will still be enjoyed by someone else will let it go and love to take it to several drop off location so that it's not taken to the landfill which is actually the saddest thing in my onion. This Salvation Army location in Kailua is quite massive and my favorite place to browse, very organized and with probably one of the largest selection of furniture is found here it's a great place to search for that find. Parking though is the worse as there's just a few stalls and for shoppers that's doing the hard search I found it impossible to wait for a stall as I just double parked after placing my donation in the bin provided right outside I walked in for quick browse but decided not to search too hard to only to return items back home lol! Great place with lots of find...come see here! Thank you!

Yelper eyes... Thank…read moreyou Nadine C for finding this literally hidden gem as this Goodwill donation container pod is well does sit prominently in the lot of Kailua Church and it is on a busy Oneawa Street with that you can very much drive right by it and not really notice it at all. Luckily with the sharp and helpful eye I did mange to find it and it's great that it sits in the lot as pulling over on this busy street can be very hazardous so dropping of donation was a quick and easy process though what I was a bit puzzled and it was just this location only was the staff who was asking if I had clothing in it which I did among other kitchen appliances and some toys as well and asked if I could bring it sorted instead as it needs to be sorted...I was taken back a bit and felt like I was just dropping off trash so I stood there sorting it all for while she watched. Don't really want to return to this location as I felt like I needed to be educated on the process as I've been blessed with items that I no longer need and though that being in great condition to donate and hope it finds a great home and will still continue to do so but probably not at this location sadly.

Donation in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. I was driving along Oneawa Street when I saw this Goodwill Pod. I pulled onto the side of the road to look it up, but couldn't find a Yelp Business Page for the pod. I turned around and parked in the parking lot of the Kailua Church of the Nazarene. That's where I met Celeste. Celeste was a bit protective of the pod and wanted me to speak with her boss about getting permission to take photos. I told her that I'm trying to help Goodwill by placing it on the map. She said that I could Google it and find it. I tried, but the pod isn't on the Google map. (I can add it to Google maps, but I will wait for Goodwill to call me back... with permission.) I did find the pod on the Goodwill Hawaii website. It is officially located at 536 Oneawa Street. It also stated that the Goodwill Store at 105 Oneawa Street was closed for good. I miss that store... Celeste mentioned that this pod was a United Cerebral Palsy donation site. She said she's there from Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm. The Goodwill website adds Sundays from 11am to 4pm; and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm. I have never met such a hostle person. I felt like she was threatening me when she said that this is private property. I smiled and said, "Thank you, Celeste!" and got into my car while she was still yelling at me through my rolled up car windows. Maybe Celeste needs some information or better training?

Dropping off a donation in Mililani, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. I had some time, and I had some stuff in my car - ready to donate! Using Google Maps, I found this GreenDrop trailer in the parking lot of Christ Lutheran Church... how interesting! The guy in the trailer was polite and pleasant. After I gave him my boxes, I asked if he needed my phone number... Yes! He entered my number onto the tablet. I received an email soon after. I'll print out this receipt when I find a printer... Thank you for the efficiency! Note: This location publicizes that it's connected with the American Red Cross. Hours of operation: Monday to Saturday from 8:30am to 5pm. Sundays from 9am to 4pm.

Since i was in the area finding a Green Drop here in Mililani is a great convenience as I'm able to drop my donation in a green bin located right in front of the large trailer that's parked in the lot of Christ Lutheran Church on Hokuwelowelo Place or the easiest description is across Town Center of Mililani. You just can't miss the huge green trailer a trademark that makes it easy to find and the staff here is very nice and helpful if you need assistance though i had some bags of clothing in an unused luggage love that each location is sponsored by a non profit and this one is by American Red Cross. Here in Hawaii recycling is important and donate items are going to some great cause is easy with some charities that will transform it with your items. Thank you!

Located right in front of Starbucks though hard to miss makes it an easy drop off location so that any of your unused items don't to the landfill as my crutches was only used for a week and wish hardwood floors our vacuum is outdated and are no longer needed. Grateful for places like these along with staff who make it all possible. Thank you!

Cleaning house in the New Year…read more.. It's a good thing to purge and give things that you don't need to others who might need them. When you donate to Goodwill, you can get a receipt for a tax write off and even get a coupon for 20 percent off one full priced item in their store! The Goodwill pod at Windward Mall is gone, so, I had to go to Windward City Shopping Center where there is a wooden structure... Like a little house. When I went, the staff was at lunch. The sign said that they'd be back at 12:30pm. I did a few errands and came back. Wow... What a difference half an hour makes! When I returned, there were so many bags of donations outside the door, on the steps, and lines up in front of the building! The poor guy was surrounded! I started to help him by bringing some of the bags closer to the door. Then, he asked if I was waiting for a receipt. I replied, "Yes!" He asked how many bags I had and wrote my receipt. I continued to help him and he said that he could do the rest. Wow! Well, I feel like I've been rewarded for cleaning my house. Hope to clean more soon! Note: closed on Sundays
