They are excellent with animals, very kind. friendly, patient and conscientious, efficient, work great as a team, hard-working and yet easy going, do beautiful work on the grooming projects I've seen, and they have great relationships with both 2 legged and 4 legged customers. My dog LOVES to come here, it's a treat for him. And I love to go there too. I've never seen an unhappy customer there. The vibe is fabulous and the prices are great. I don't think there is a better place to take your pet for grooming this side of heaven, and now I guess they also clean teeth. I can't recommend them enough. I'm so grateful they are in my life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! (Thanks guys for taking such great care of me and my dog!)

While I've never seen the kennel area, my pups run into the building and are always happy when I see them. They are never afraid, skiddish, anything that would give off red flags. New owner (Emi-Jo Barkley) is a liar! I was happy with Chelstars for the past four years with the…read moreformer owner. Toward the end of March, 2026, we were planning on going on vacation. I made a reservation over Christmas and confirmed the reservation with the new owner (via email) in early March. Since I noticed a few of my dog's shots were not up to date, I made a veterinary appointment two days prior to my dog's boarding with Chelstars and got his shots up to date. When my wife arrived at Chelstars, three hours before our plane was to leave, the dog was denied entry since the shots happened less than two weeks ago. My wife was told that this rule was posted on the website (a picture of the website is attached). We were successful in having to find an alternative placement in less than an hour. Since I have had a four year relationship with the facility, I called the owner about future boarding. This is when Emi Jo mentioned my wife was swearing at the employees. While my wife was probably frustrated, she does not swear (and almost never loses her temper). My wife also vehemently denies it. I would bet my life on the words of my wife. Granted, I may have sworn and lost my temper, but... I was not there. We will not be returning! I will pay extra money to work with a facility that knows how to tell the truth about a website and doesn't make up fairy tales.

She walked me through everything that she was going tondo. She even presented me an additional option that I didn't even know existed. It was a little more but she did disclose the charge and I agreed to it. It would make my girl more comfortable and recovery easier. I waited in my car and she called me to pick her up. Her assistant walked through everything, they had the medication all premeasured and ready to go. It made it easier to handle post op recovery. The assistants called me several times to see how she is doing. Surprised and confirmed that I took her to the right doctor and clinic. They scheduled me at a time that Doctor Greer would be able to meet with me while looking over my sweet baby girl. She always responds to emails that I sent to the clinic. She is a compassionate doctor with expertise that I want so my girl is getting the best treatment possible. If Veternary Village was ten hours away I would drive there to make sure she is getting the best care possible. Thank you Doctor Greer and staff for making this operation easy, because this surgery is not easy for the pet parent. This parent is a helicopter mom!
