Very overpriced, several rude staff members, and frequent billing issues. Dr. Evy seemed to be personally offended when I asked that she pause work to ask my child if she was ok. They routinely take X-rays and use laughing gas on children-- if your child has the mthfr gene mutation (extremely common) it can be very harmful to give them laughing gas. There was no mention of this from Dr. Evy. read more

We've been here twice now. Once for a tongue/lip tie eval and a second time for a cleaning both times I've had the same thought- I LOVE a child service location that actually has staff and set up that caters to children! My child is non-verbal autistic and both times the staff did really well with trying to help him stay calm during the visit. The most recent visit was a cleaning and he had plaque build on the back of his teeth which needed to be scraped off. The dental assistant did a fantastic job trying to explain what was going to happen with the X-ray and cleaning and letting my child touch the equipment and even "test" it on me first. The dentist sang while she was doing the exam and scraping plaque and my kid calmed down and let her do it! This place is a far drive for us and a bit pricey, we've been to a different dentist and it wasn't bad but this was just so much better, particularly for a kid with communication difficulties who doesn't like "dr" offices so it's totally worth it to continue coming for us. read more

No complaints about the initial hospital visit except for the amount the assistant was going to collect was more than on the treatment plan. When I showed her the treatment plan she called the office and verified that I was indeed correct. I also ended up getting a refund check later. First office visit was rough because my child was difficult to work on and the crown fell off before I left the parking lot, had to go in for the same tooth twice in one day. I left very aggravated. Went back today 10/24/2017 and had a limited exam and the male assistant was delivering the treatment plan to me aggressively and going back and forth with me about the fees/coverage/services - I'm in the field, I walked out in aggravation. The crown was placed in February of 2017 and its only October 2017, they are not going to fix the tooth as I was told it's a front tooth and very crooked, but we're going to charge me office fees (didn't even honor my insurance contracted rates) because they are anticipating insurance not to cover. In March/April of this year the Manager said they would fix the front tooth at no cost to me, when I went in today the treatment plan did not reflect this. I wanted to give my child enough time that she would be cooperative and not Traumatized. They called me and dismissed me as a patient because I was not happy with the doctors work and walked out at my last visit because I wasn't happy. I requested my insurance details and X-rays be sent to me, the manager Blanca stated she would get these to me. I called a week later to follow up on having my X-rays sent to me. The doctor and Manager had me on speaker and told me to call my insurance for my info and were not following through with what the manager said she'd send to me. I still have not received my daughters images. The doctor also asked me about my negative review during the conversation of following up with not getting my requested info?.. Very inappropriate timing, I had to dismiss this conversation immediately. I did not have a good experience, Would not recommend. read more

The dentist charged $250 to simply look in my sons mouth. Did not do anything else. Did not even floss his teeth. We were there for less than 10 minutes! Was not comfortable with how it went so we went to another pediatric dentist in the area and they brushed flossed and examined his teeth properly. Our daughter Sienna had a tongue tie and needed attention to allow her to latch amd feed without pain. She was taking air in while feeding and resulted in acid reflux. Because of this she was not gaining any weight. Dr. Evy was incredibly helpful in diagnosing and treating the issue. We saw many doctors trying to figure out the reason for her problems feeding and the pain she was dealt. Every doctor failed at identifying the issue. This may be a unique case; but after dropping me due to having Army Insurance; I received 2 bills and a threat to go to collections. I was never made aware that I wouldn't be covered; in fact she told me her husband flew helicopters for the Army and even has a room with helicopter flight maps. The building was clean and everyone was nice enough. We had a 2:30 appointment we didn't the procedure done until 4:30. Over the phone at the receptionist told me to expect it to take about 20 minutes so that was a little rough. There were no chairs in the examination room and they left us in there for an hour. I was four days postpartum with a newborn so that was really hard. We were sitting on the floor. If a friend asked if I recommend the place I would say no. read more

We had a lip tie on our 8 day old baby and the dr was able to release it and we immediately got a latch which was HUGE. I had been struggling with the latch all the way up to the appt. The we came in for a consult and they did the appt same day. We loved the experience here. Great dr, they have a super attentive tech staff, a nursing area. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is the front desk girl is a hot mess and has HORRIBLE customer service. She kept telling us we didn't have dental insurance, we do and it's a PPO. Turns out the procedure wasn't covered, which is not the same as no insurance. She wasn't rude, she was just absolutely clueless and it was extremely aggravating while we're in the middle of trying to get our newborn set up for a relatively painful procedure. I've never met someone so inept handling the front desk of a drs office before. Then she called us to follow up and it took her 5 whole minutes to spit out "hey we're just following up do you have any questions". Worst. It wouldn't be a problem if she wasn't the one handling our insurance claims. Anyway, we may have been an isolated experience. The actual practice is fabulous. read more

Absolute worst medical experience of my life (my poor children). Zero bedside manner. zero concern with leaving small children to wait long periods of time. Zero concern with making children comfortable. Sure you can have a few toys in a bin and call yourself a pediatric dentist but in this competitive medical industry I would expect you to at least say hello to my child and ask what their name is or something. I've tried to go here twice I will never go here again. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Evy. When my son got hit in the face by another kid's head during soccer, it was NOT pretty. He fractured 4 teeth and slightly uprooted four others! Dr. Evy was SO calm, knowledgeable, and helpful. She even looked through her resources to make sure she was doing ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING to save the teeth. Unfortunately, I've had a poor experience with Green Apple. While the dentists and staff are kind and skilled, they misled my family and I when it came time to pay. My newborn son was not showing up on the dental coverage yet, but they assured me that I would be reimbursed for the tongue tie as if I was. However, they charged me out-of-pocket costs, which is much more than the negotiated rate with most insurance companies. Instead of paying $90, I had to pay $450 with no remorse or course correction from Green Apple. My older son had to get his tongue tie fixed as well and we had a better experience with just having it cut versus the laser. It is not worth the drive out. read more

Our son was four days old when our lactation consultant referred us for a tongue/lip tie revision. I called Green Apple and was told they did not have available appointments for two days. When I asked to please be put on a waiting list, should someone cancel their appointment sooner than two days out, the receptionist suddenly realized(?) that they were free all that afternoon and I could come in that day if I'd like and could even have my pick of appointment times. I was immediately unnerved to know that had I not pressed the importance of getting an appointment ASAP, they would have just put me off for two days. I discussed insurance questions over the phone with her prior to coming in for our appointment. When we arrived, we were brought to a room by an assistant (hygienist?). She had my intake paperwork in front of her and kept incorrectly reading it back to us. I'm not sure why they even had us fill out the diagnostic forms if we were going to just have to verbally repeat it all back to an incompetent assistant who couldn't enter it into the computer correctly for the life of her. When Dr. Guerrero arrived, she was fantastic and very professional. She had her assistant record via an iPad while she pinpointed the frenulum ties in our baby's mouth. Of course, with the pulling on his lip and tongue, our baby started screaming. After about two minutes it was over, and we were comforting our baby, only to have the assistant announce that, oops, she'd forgotten to press record! She said this as though it was a hilarious mistake we'd all be amused by. Even Dr. Guerrero was a little irritated to have to redo the stressful video recording of the ties on a days-old baby when it should have just been done correctly the first time. The actual procedure was done quickly and when we went to checkout, were told that they actually wouldn't file with insurance for us - contrary to everything I was told on the phone. I was extremely frustrated to find out that the $575 was due immediately when I had been previously told otherwise. I had asked Dr. Guerrero if we could please take home instructions on how to properly exercise the wounds as she'd shown us (I was so sleep deprived I was afraid I'd forget all she'd told us!) and when I asked the front desk girl for these printouts, she had no clue what I was talking about and said there was no such information for me to take home. When we called to set up our follow up as requested by Dr. G, the receptionist informed us that we could only have a 2 or 3pm appointment time, regardless of the day of the week or (non)immediacy of the appointment. When I let her know it was too difficult for my husband to get off work at that time, she told me there was nothing she could do and she couldn't schedule me for an earlier or later time because those was the only times they did these appointments. I definitely did not get the vibe that this office cared much about actually seeing my son for his follow up; regardless of how lenient I was on days/times (any day of the week! Any week! Any time before noon was fine! Anytime after 3:30pm was fine! There was just a tiny window of the day that was too hard for us to make do), she refused to schedule me outside of the 2pm or 3pm appointment time. We loved Dr. Guerrero and had a great experience with her, but absolutely believe that her staff could use more training in customer service and efficiency. When you're dealing with littles (sometimes just days old) giving proper information the first time, and doing a job correctly the first time, goes a long way in keeping patients happy. read more

She was very professional, kind, and put my mind at ease by explaining exactly what was going to happen. It is now a year later and we just took out son in for his first-year dental cleaning and it went really well. This is the worst customer service I have experienced anywhere. On the front end it's great, friendly people and what seems like a great process. If you have a problem though, they do nothing to have it resolved and will fight with you to get any help. It started when they billed for services that weren't offered, and continued when they couldn't get the billing lined up right between a Care Credit account. We took our 7 day old baby to see Dr. Evy after our lactation consultant suspected a tongue tie which was causing issues breastfeeding. Dr. Evy found an additional lip tie and did the laser frenectomy of both ties the same day as our initial consult which was really wonderful as we were driving in from out of town! Her staff was incredibly friendly and kind and made sure everyone made it through the tears. They have a little cove that allows moms to breastfeed after. They made sure we didn't feel rushed to leave allowing plenty of time to breastfeed after the procedure. Our pediatrician was really impressed with the laser sites as Dr. Evy completely removes the ties rather than just cutting them liken many ENTs. Drove an hour and a half to have my son evaluated for his tongue and lip tie. They were very good about getting us in quickly and accomodating our schedule. There was minimal wait and Dr. Evy was very attentive to us. She asked us what questions we had and took as much time as needed to answer them. It has been about three weeks since my son (3mo) had his lip and posterior tongue tie revised by Dr. Guerrero. I was so nervous about it, but after seeing her for the consult and doing my own research, we knew that we should go forward with the revision. Needless to say, it was nowhere near as bad as I had expected! He was only in the room for about 7 minutes and I was able to nurse him immediately following the procedure. Dr. Guerrero showed us how to care for the wound so that it heals properly, and encouraged us to call if we had any questions. She also recommended a homeopathic tincture that we found very helpful for baby: High Road Homeopathy -- Tongue Tie Combo And a big thank-you to Blanca at the front desk -- Along the way, we had some problems with our insurance and she helped us file an appeal.
