When my old system broke, James and his team came out right away, walked me through the different options, and took the time to make sure I was choosing the right system for my home and my family. A few days later, they came back and completed the entire installation. The new system works great and is a huge improvement over what we had before. James and his team are honest, hardworking, and genuinely care about doing the job right. It is easy to see why they have so many positive reviews. I would highly recommend 1st Choice to anyone looking for a new HVAC system or needing repairs on an existing one.

I received a competitively priced estimate from 1st Choice for a 5-ton Lennox heat-pump system…read more However, I decided not to proceed because the company refused to revise its initial estimate to include several important details and stated that the estimate would serve as the final contract. The proposal specified a variable-capacity heat pump even though we had discussed a two-stage system, but it did not clearly confirm how the equipment would operate with my existing zone control board. It also did not include the AHRI Reference Number needed to verify the exact system's certified efficiency, nor the requested surge protection. For a major HVAC installation, important equipment specifications and agreed-upon work should be clearly included in the written contract. Although the price was competitive, their unwillingness to revise the initial estimate left too much uncertainty for me to proceed.

We have not had any problems with our AC or heater, and the installation went very smoothly. I've recommended them to multiple people including my own mother. Today, Mitch came and inspected my Mother's HVAC unit, and was extremely knowledgeable and kind. He answered all of our questions, and gave very good suggestions for how to handle problems with her HVAC unit that was installed by another company. We learned today that they also do plumbing, so we have several more jobs for them! Highly recommended!

Everything was resolved quickly and instead of charging me a good amount for a one time service, they offered a twice a year tune up plan for less, and would include this visit as covered. Glad I've contracted their services and am a member of their HVAC maintenance program.

He repaired it, but unfortunately the AC stopped working again the next day. I called him right away, and he came out immediately, stayed until it was fully fixed, and made sure everything worked properly before he left. Jacob was punctual, professional, and clearly knowledgeable. His work ethic was excellent. Before finding World HVAC Service, we'd hired another company that came out four times, was never on time, couldn't diagnose the issue, and quoted us another 3-4 hours of work without even properly examining the problem. Jacob, by contrast, was thorough and had it fixed within about an hour. After three weeks of struggling with the heat, our house is finally nice and cool again. Highly recommend World HVAC Service!

Extremely disappointed with NexGen's protection plan…read more I paid for this membership for over two years because it included things I actually used -- my annual tankless water heater flush, A/C check, and replacement A/C filters. Now, apparently, those benefits have changed. Filters are no longer included and the water heater flush costs extra. What really makes me angry is that I do not recall NexGen ever notifying me that the benefits I was paying for had changed. They even called ME to schedule my annual water heater flush through my membership, only for me to find out afterward that I would now have to pay extra for it. So what exactly am I paying for? To make matters worse, nearly every service visit seemed to come with a new list of recommended repairs or upgrades costing anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars. At a certain point, it becomes very difficult not to feel like the membership is more useful as an opportunity to sell you additional work than as an actual maintenance plan. If NexGen had simply been upfront and notified customers that the plan was changing, I could have decided whether it was still worth paying for. Instead, I continued paying for a membership based on benefits I had received for years, only to discover they were no longer included. Based on my experience, I would absolutely not recommend this protection plan. Save your money and get everything they claim is included in writing before signing up.
