Charles gave me a more than fair quote on all new high efficiency equipment and replacing all of my vents with new modern ones. It only took him a couple of days to order everything and get started. He and his helper removed all of the old equipment and installed everything perfectly in 3 working days. Charles went above and beyond by expanding the air return area (by like 4x!), fixed my existing duct work in the attic and made a beautiful partial enclosure in my garage for the FAU. His report did note that the system needed replacing, but he also added that it was a "preexisting condition," which caught us completely off guard since the AC had been working fine just a week earlier. That claim would have voided our home warranty coverage entirely. There's no way he could have determined it was preexisting from a single visit, and thankfully we were able to prove the AC had been working properly beforehand. His "preexisting condition" note delayed our AC repair by more than three weeks during two of the hottest heat waves in Southern California history. If Adam or any of their techs come to service your unit, get a copy of the inspection report before they leave. Once they're gone, it's nearly impossible to reach anyone.

We simply sent a courtesy email to express our disappointment as a feed back. Well we got a quick call back from Kemnitz, trying to justifying overprice and un-authorized repairs. They cllaim that they could not do a tune-up on a non operational unit. Our unit was fully operational and getting the house at the desired temperature. Rather than taking the opportinuty to improve their services, they chose to call me to blame me, yell at me, and hanup the phone. The call was chnage from maintenance agreement to service visit, without notifying me at any time, with the insiunation that our AC was not working. The techinician also mentionned to me that he had replace some parts, afetr the facts and without telling me. I nenevr saw the parts... We went for a $154 tune-up to a $585 invoice surprise. Their only argument is that since I sign the invoice at the end , that I agreed to everything. I also no feedback on a request quote for new equipement. I'll leave it to you to decide if that is the king opf service you want ... Me, I will not do business with a company that take to time to yell at the client rather than providing good service.

I cannot recommend Kalka Plumbing highly enough! My exterior home drain lines were not draining and…read moremy hardscaped backyard was flooding in heavy rain events. I called another company who tried to clear them and indicated it was impossible and that they would need to pull up hardscaping and replace the lines and quoted a 5-figure sum to do the work. I decided to get a second opinion and called Kevin at Kalka Plumbing. Kevin was incredibly honest and upfront from the start. He indicated that he should be able to clear the lines, but there may be sections that might have to be replaced but would do his best to at least clear the lines in the hardscaped areas. Kevin and his team were able to clear everything and did an excellent job cleaning up and leaving my back and front yard pristine (cleaner than when they started). Instead of pushing for the most expensive or invasive 'standard' fix, they saved me a significant amount of money and the results were exceptional. It is so rare to find a trade professional with this level of integrity and problem-solving skills. If you want someone who is honest, fair, brilliant at what they do, and truly looking out for the customer, look no further!

The technician told the warranty company that the reason my PRV valve failed was due to my tampering with it, which is a boldface lie, so AHS denied the claim. He said he had to tell the warranty company that because the valve is less than a year old and it's UNUSUAL for it to fail on its own in such short time, so that I must've tampered with it. Even after stating that he thought the previous company probably installed a defective unit. He brought out a small $200 valve and tried to upsell me on a $1600 valve. I told him that plenty of refrigerators have issues within 1-2 years (look up LG refrigerator issues), although they're designed to last decades. That doesn't mean the owners tampered with them to cause the failure... ludicrous.
