There was also an empanada place across from the dumpling spot. The service was friendly and helpful. The dumplings (Nepalese momos) were delicious! They are steamed to order. They come with a flavorful tesame sauce which tasted like a mild but delicious curry, as well as two dipping sauces on the side. One is a spicy hot sauce, and the other is a peanut & cashew sauce. I had the beef dumplings and there were also chicken, vegetarian, and vegan options. Each serving of 10 dumplings with 3 sauces was only $10! What a great value for such tasty and unique for the area dish! There's a handful tables in the center of the marketplace, or you can order to go. It was nice to browse some of the neigboring boutiques as well.

"Excuse me, Waiter? There's a Jax in my K-mart." -Ruth Bader…read moreGinsburg- I think that quote from such an illustrious person sums this place up nicely. I went to explore the new Jax recently, to see if her quote held true. My first impression was that they really did a nice job with the conversion. The only trace of the building's past is the old floor tiles, but that is nitpicking. Everything else is fresh and new, if you didn't look down you would never know. I didn't see a firearms counter, so it is either well hidden or they haven't got one. The cafe area is not open yet, but looks really nice. And I have never seen such a variety of candy in my life (apart from that one time that reclusive candy maker hid a ticket inside my candy bar and I got to tour his factory, watch some weird musical numbers, and eventually took over the factory from him). I want to especially call out Ilyssa, who was the Department Manager for the Work and Western Wear area. The very moment I stepped into her domain, she was there to offer assistance. She immediately pointed out their special Labor Day sales, and darn it if I didn't leave her section feeling like I wanted some Work and/or Western Wear. All around a super fun place, so get there already! A supreme court justice can't be wrong! OK I made that quote up myself. But seriously, go to the new Jax.

The reason why I wanted to do an update for Nepal Tibet Imports is that I just finished burning a wonderful series of incense from the Swagat brand. I had a package of Frankincense, Night Queen, India Temple and Sandalwood incense sticks. It is quite difficult to say which fragrance from this selection was my favorite. All of them were quite satisfying in burning and gave my house a refreshing spin with the fragrances with each burn session. I have to admit these purchases are a bit older ones (because I have a queue for what incense I burn, yes I know I'm making it more complicated than I should)and sometimes when burning old incense the sticks don't stay lit but I think I only had one out the four packages that did that so very quality made incense that lasts a long time... as long as you don't get it wet of course.

The store & all of its booths is clean, well organized & there are goodies for most anyone. As I was paying, I tried to talk with a woman who was tall with short dark hair. (I don't know how else to describe her without being rude.) She was probably around 50+. She was brusque and snotty. I would say almost condescending. The point of this review is to tell people the shop is well organized & that the people are rude. If rudeness doesn't bother you, you are likely to find some good treasures. There are at least 2-3 other antique/flea markets next door to this one. I would start with them. Stars-a two for the humans & a five for the store.

Some booths had themes like books and media. Others had a real hodgepodge. I especially enjoyed looking at the vintage dressers and refinished furniture. We visit Fort Collins every year for the holidays and when we saw this place I had to go in even though I maxed my budget already for the week. That was until I saw the perfect casual midi length sweater jacket. It was a white/grey/black knit blend and fit perfectly and goes with everything. I immediately purchased it because it was a sign from the universe I had to have it. Overall, the items are all quite affordable. I believe the jacket was around $72. The shop as a whole was crisp and clean with such a lovely selection of tops, jeans, jackets, accessories, and more. We spent some time chatting with the shop employee, who offered up some fun outing ideas for us during our stay. I can't wait to visit again and probably will poke around their online store too until we're back in CO again soon.
