5 stars every time we come down here. We ate here 4 years ago and it was the very first place we wanted to come back to this trip. The food and service have always been amazing, and we ended up coming back a second night because it was that good. We spent the month of January in Panama City Beach and last Thursday we were having a pizza craving. So we thought we'd try Great White at Pier Park. It was mid afternoon and not busy when we arrived and were welcomed in by a really nice guy (maybe the owner?). He told us about the different pizzas and suggested the Jamaican pizza. The pizza was good. We had 9 people and polished off 1 cheese calzone, 1 large supreme pizza, 2 large cheese pizzas and 1 large order of cheese bread. The service was quick since there were 3 people there waiting to take someone's order and it's winter so nobody hangs out in a beach town. We were able to pick any table and the ambiance was fine. I had high hopes and was excited to try Great White Pizza since they have vegan cheese for hubby. It's in Pier Park so a super touristy spot. You do get to pick any signature pizza or create your own and unlimited topping for same price. The crust was a nice thin crust but held up to the weight of toppings. I did enjoy this part. The sauce and toppings really had no taste. I think the sauce was just tomato sauce with no seasoning. I got the Hawaiian and only flavor could discern was the pineapple. Hubby got veggie with vegan cheese. He had same comments about the sauce. It was heavy in the tomato's and olives. Only saw 1 or 2 mushrooms. It was $32 for 2 smalls pies with a vegan cheese upcharge on one and 2 soft drinks. Reasonable for being in heart of tourist zone but pricey in general scheme of things. The restaurant was close to the hotel and I was craving pizza. This is an order at the counter, serve yourself beverages and food delivered to the table type restaurant. It was very crowded and the seating was tight making it hard to maneuver to our table or get drinks. The servers were very pleasant and attentive to our needs. It did take quite a while to get our food, but to be expected with the number of people ordering. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and an Italian sandwich with no red sauce. The medium pizza was 11" which was enough for the two of us. The sauce was very mild and I wish it had more pepperoni. It was cooked nicely and arrived at our table hot. My wife and I were in Panama City Beach and we took a walk down to Pier Park, a friend of ours recommended Great White Pizza. It is right across the street of The Angry Tuna. It had a few patrons, and I ordered the Cuban flatbread sandwich and my wife ordered the pizza with no cheese and basil and spinach. I ordered and paid for two different IPAs and they came out in like 10 ounce glasses. What?!? Just charge me five dollars and give me a glass of beer. The beer was really good, but the size of the glass was like, "Really?" Anyways. The Cuban sandwich was piping hot, which I loved. Lots of pickles and fixings and ham. REALLY good. Great white pizza is a pizza establishment located on Panama City beach popular outlet mall pier park. On a later Friday night my family and I decided to stop in for dinner and grab some pizza. The place was packed to the gills however they managed the line fast. You wait in line and take an order from behind the counter and take a number and find a seat. The inside was all full so we found a table outside on the side patio to fit our family of 7. We started with an app of cheese bread. It came out quick and piping hot. Very good cheese bread with wonderful flavor on the cheese and the bread. Very tasty app. For entrees we ordered a large pepperoni pizza and my wife and oldest got the Italian salad. They both enjoyed the salads quite a bit. The pizza was very good. Nice tasting sauce and once again very good crust as well. Overall we had a great experience here. Very good food, above average service and I enjoyed the fun shark themed vibe and decor. Was a good way to get us beach ready on our first night of vacation. read more

Dairy Allergy? Beware! I would love to give a better review, but I can't because of our scary experience and lack of care from the owner, Jim. We dined in on 6/26/24. My son was glad to be able to find pizza he could eat. He ordered gluten-free crust and vegan cheese. The young lady at the register confirmed he has an allergy and documented it on the receipt. Shortly after eating, he noticed his throat was tightening up. We went back and he asked about the cheese since the receipt only said Allergy. They admitted it was not vegan cheese on his pizza. They refunded the money and made another pizza. They were apologetic, but unfortunately, things began to worsen. We ended up at Urgent Care. Part of our vacation was spent at Urgent Care and with him not feeling well the next day. I called the manager Jacob the next morning. He was very kind and apologetic. He stated they pride themselves on offering these gluten and dairy-free options. He assured me the owner, Jim would want to hear from me and address what happened. I then emailed Jim at the email address given to me. It was 4 days before I received a return email. This was after emailing four times. He said he had been busy with urgent family business. Once he contacted me, he apologized, assured me there would be additional training for employees, offered us a complimentary meal, and asked me to send him the bills. He also said they were "horrified" to hear about my son's experience. I asked for an incident report for documentation, which I never received. I have emailed the bills numerous times, as recently as 1/16/25. These emails have been ignored. This makes me believe this wasn't taken very seriously. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of response and care shown by the owner. My son would have died if we had not gone to Urgent Care immediately. By the time we got there, he was in a lot of distress. It was a traumatic experience for all of us present. I will spare all the details, but it was scary to watch and feel so helpless. That being said, I enjoyed my pizza. Everyone liked the crust. Two in our party were very disappointed in their veggie pizzas because of the lack of vegetables and the fact they were so finely chopped. All in all, Great White, is a good option for pizza if you don't have food allergies. I can't recommend it if you have an allergy though. This experience really messed up a couple days of our vacation and I'd hate anyone else to have that experience. I have not left a bad review until today. I have allowed adequate time for these bills to be paid. I have now been left with no other choice than to handle this a different way. I always intended to let the community know to be careful when eating here (or anywhere) if someone has severe allergies, but I had hoped to also express how it was handled the right way. Then I noticed my hands were getting a black tint. When I looked under the pizza it had some large black spots. I have never had black tint on my hand after eating pizza. While I understand you had family matters and we missed one another, I'm happy to give you the full truth here. My HUSBAND STOPPED YOUR STAFF MEMBER FROM GOING IN THE BATHROOM WITH OUR TWO YOUNG CHILDREN!!!! We had in fact already ordered for the kids from your establishment! So no we were NOT sent from smoothie king as you falsely assumed! In fact we had already claimed a couple tables. At the bathroom, there was a line and your team member decided since he was an employee he "deserved to pass the line"? So yes! My husband DID stop the staff member for my kids safety, a line and customer service! We even had someone come up to us and thank us for not letting him pass. THEN as we went to order for the adults, still the same employee came out to the rest of the team members bashing us openly! Again another opportunity to rectify and a lack of customer service. This went from an individual to staff gossip and understandably made the staff uncomfortable. Therefore my husband decided to remove himself from the situation and THEn went to smoothie king AFTER WITH OUR KIDS and THAT SAME EMPLOYEE TOOK IT UP ON THEMSELVES TO GO AFTER HIM AND CONFRONT HIM WITH THE INTENT TO FIGHT!! Your team member followed and chased my husband and kids (again) putting them in danger! How is that okay when diffusing any situation? Are you condoning these actions? I don't like leaving reviews like this, especially when the company did such a good job on serving what we ordered. I will say that this review is probably based more on personal preference than anything else. I like a pizza where you can taste the sauce and unfortunately you couldn't on our pizza. I also like a pizza with a good crust whether Chicago style or NY style, and unfortunately this was neither and had little to no flavor (in my opinion...not even buttery or seasoned). I think the best thing Great White has going for it is its location in Pier Park, because it was packed with people. We ordered pizza from here and we were very disappointed. We got it to go so maybe that is the difference. The pictures and reviews on here looked amazing but that is not what our pizzas looked like. The pepperoni pizza we got was black on one side. I know it is wood fired pizza but it was completely black. All 3 of our pizzas has very little toppings. The 4th one was ok because it was just cheese pizza. I wish I had taken pictures but I didn't. The flavor of the sauce and topping combos was good. The crust was really good. Just like you would want a wood fired pizza to be, Crispy and chewy. There aren't many places on the west end for good pizza without having to drive to pick it up but this is definitely our favorite of those! We always stop when visiting Pier Park but also while staying at nearby Splash Resort last week we decided to place an online order and go pick it up. The biggest draws are one: the parking is horrible at Pier Park and wherever you park you're going to have to walk to/from the restaurant at least a block or two and two: they don't keep your pizza in a warmer so you can imagine is was pretty cooled off from the time it took to get it back to our condo. All that being said, that bbq calzone is WORTH all of it! It's one of the best I've ever had!
