Great community asset…read more This pool is conveniently located in Washington Park only a few minutes from I 20. There are swim lessons, meets and open swimming. The staff are friendly and inside is clean. I'm taking one star off for the lack of cleanliness on the outside. There were chicken bones and food debris in the parking lot and right outside the main entrance. When I saw that I was concerned that the inside would be dirty, it was not and is much cleaner inside than some other county owned Natatoriums in the Atlanta Region. The showers have warm water and the pool is heated. The air conditioner was on in the locker room but that may be necessary to control the humidity. Overall, I'm glad this is close to where I live and that I am able to take private lessons here via All Star Swim Academy.

In doing so, I either walk or jog around Coan Park. It's a lovely place nestled on the edges of Kirkwood and Edgewood. It sits across from some of the local businesses, as well as some of the areas lovely homes, and Sammye Coan Middle School. The park has a basketball court the looks to be sponsored by the Atlanta Hawks, a large playground area, an indoor area that was used during the election cycle for early voting, covered pavilions, a softball/baseball field, a large grassy area for football, soccer, etc., and workout equipment that comes complete with instructions on how to use each piece. I think the equipment is the best park of the park! Oh, there are plenty of shady areas to rest under on hot summer days, water fountains to keep you and your four legged friends hydrated, and things to do. The park is a great option for exercise, as I see folks out doing yoga and group fitness classes on my morning runs. Try it out and let me know what you think. Now, full disclosure, parking can be scarce when there are plenty of things happening in and around the park, but MARTA runs right nearby and is a great option!

It was giving "looking for the outdoor boulder" vibes. So here's my notes for anyone that will likely need them. PARKING: Trust your GPS to guide you to the entrance of the parking garage. The entrance and exit are two separate doors, so do not think you can enter and/or exit through both of them. The garage is for the 715 Peachtree building and CRG has a sign on the garage that lets you know to park there. Once you pull a ticket and get inside the garage, park anywhere. Don't forget to take your ticket with you to validate inside the gym! GYM ACCESS: Once you park, get to the same level that you entered the garage. Follow the garage signs to enter the 715 Peachtree building. Do not be alarmed if all the lights are off. Continue down the long hallway until you see the elevators on your right. If you hit the coffee shop, you've gone too far. Go DOWN on the elevator to LL. Once you exit the elevator, you'll see the gym there. General Notes: I would advise budgeting at least 10 minutes to get out of the building and garage. Keep this in mind since parking is only validated for 2 hours! Exiting is also a bit of a doozy, but ultimately just follow the garage signs. If possible, CRG should put up additional signage within the 715 building to direct people. I felt like there was no way I would've known to go down on the elevator a floor without the advice of others. The gym itself is solid - it's mostly inclined walls and a few slabs. One interesting area that I've never seen is one of the walls is set at a greater than 90 degree angle, and is quite scary since it relies a lot on feet. Great wall to train on. I appreciated how much cleaner this gym is compared to the Chamblee locations.

If you do go on the weekends, make sure to arrive early as the parking can fill up fast. Venue and Atmosphere The great outdoors await; enjoy the mostly paved path along the creek to a peaceful waterfall. The trail continues slightly uphill and winds through the park with beautiful foliage and more creek views. Aside from the incline, the trail is relatively easy. The waterfall wasn't very full but that of course depends on the rain level, and the past month was a dry one. It was still lovely! Verdict I'll definitely visit again!

An 18 hole Disc golf course, a splash pad (not operational during COVID 19, a nice play ground, a few party gazebos where birthdays were being held. Even if you don't want to play disc golf, you can still enjoy a nice walk following the course trying to find the next T-offs can be fun and challenging. When we arrived we let our kiddo loose on the playground and she had so much fun checking everything out. Next we played the front 9 of the course. The first Tee is down the hill, near the double bridge, not next to the parking lot, which presently is the 4th Tee on the front 9. This course is not stroller friendly. Not having played for at least a year, I was out of practice but I did manage to lead despite Nicole's handicap. I really liked how the course was laid out, and the vegetation isn't so thick that you can't find your disk which landed in a few thick bushes. We concluded our visit with some more time on the playground. All of us were sweaty and ready to head for refreshments. I'd like this place a whole lot more with the splash pad working. Can't wait to come back to play the back 9 of the course too.
