Dr Tekdogan is a wonderful dentist with a conservative and professional approach. I actually had a pain free filling today. I have not said that before. He numbed the area to the point where I did not feel the needle or freezing entering my jaw. As well, he only froze the tooth not the whole side of my mouth so I could eat soon after. He and his staff were really great with my girls as well. Not having the best past experiences, they were happy for checkups and regular cleanings. It's a shame, it's just a waste of our money. And we're losing our health. This situation is very serious, I experienced an experience that was completely out of interest. My doctor should be Ali, but Ali comes and just gives me an injection, the rest of the procedures are done by other assistants or doctors. I regret coming here, the procedure is over and I have severe pain in my tooth right now. Even though I informed them about this 5-6 times, they didn't do anything. The only thing they did was prescribe medication. I can think about it too, a ten-year-old child can think about it too. Dr. Tekdogan saved the day. I was on travel in Waukegan, IL and I chipped a tooth. As I spend my time between St. Louis and Vancouver, BC, I was in a pickle. Dr. Tekdogan was able to work me in within 24 hours and fixed my chipped tooth. I was a little concerned that the color of the filling would not match. I know it is close to Halloween, but I did not want a smile that looked like Indian Corn. He did a great job of matching the color of the tooth. It was a painless and quick procedure. Dr. Tekdogan and his staff were exceptional communicators and very nice. I especially enjoyed Dr. Tekdogan's bedside manner. I will go out of my way to see him again. I have left this practice after being there for about 4 years. My husband left after one year, sensing this practice was all about billing and procedures. I should have followed him out the door. My first clue was the hygienist was more interested in socializing than reviewing my oral hygiene habits or sharing detailed description of what she was seeing during her exam/cleaning. This was consistent and never changed, but I tolerated. The last straw was three crowns in less than 18 months. The first crown was completed in early 2020, but by end of year, I ended up having a cavity under it. I went in and the crown was replaced, but that cost me $1000 (one tooth, 2 crowns....insurance would not pay for the same crown twice). I should have left then, as a cavity under a crown is a BIG red flag. While I was there a nice young Dr (not Dr. Ali) suggested I get crowns on two other molars as they were old and deteriorating. I spoke w. the front desk they told me it was covered by my insurance. I believed and they led me to believe they had coordinated and verified my benefits. So, I made appointments and the two crowns were completed. However, the office never did do a true benefit check. I found out by surprise when Delta Dental did not pay and again, I paid out of pocket for each crown; a total of $2000. I ended up paying for three crown ($3000) 100% out of pocket when I have dental insurance. This is indeed a practice interested in creating revenue over client satisfaction. I had a bad fall which resulted in my front tooth being knocked out, and chipping the other front tooth. I had never been to Dr. Ali, but making an appointment was quick and easy. Dr. Ali saw me on a Monday after I had tried to set the appointment on the previous Friday, two days earlier. I went to Dr. Ali and it was the best decision I could have made for myself. He was professional, friendly, knowledgable, and the staff were helpful and the whole experience made me feel at home. Once he started on my teeth, I felt no pain. I have a terrible phobia of needles- an irrational fear that I cannot explain, and most of the medical professionals I have seen in my life exhibit obvious annoyance when I explain what effect needles have on me. Dr. Ali numbed my lip, and had finished giving me the shot before I even knew that he had a needle. I did not feel the needle- not only was it painless, but there was literally NO sensation of a needle- no pinch, no odd tingling, just no feeling whatsoever. I was impressed with this alone, but when he began using the tool to grind my tooth down, I felt nothing- just a vague scent of something a little odd, but NO PAIN! In just one week's time, Dr. Ali had the lab make my new tooth, and in only 6 days, I had gone from having a missing front tooth to having my teeth look BETTER than they did before. I am so happy with the expertise demonstrated- I can bite into ice cream again!! I wish that every dentist would do half as good a job as Dr. Ali did for me. If that were the case, I don't think anyone would fear going to the dentist ever again. read more

After 4 years of searching for dentists, I found Dr. Ali Tekdogan. We live in the city in Chicago, and I traveled to Deerfield for Dr. Tekdogan - It was well worth it. My experience was amazing and I got treated right away. He does not perform any unnecessary treatments, really through and helpful. I went with a pain on my upper right side and Joyce only took one X-Ray of that area! I am being treated for the infection I had and possibly need replacement of a filling. Scheduling with Jackie is really easy and they are pretty flexible to set an emergency appointment. I cannot be more grateful to find Dr. Tekdogan and his team. We are already scheduled to see him again! If you are looking for a dentist, he is the one! Do not over search for anything else. It is definitely worth traveling from Chicago area! I am so happy to find a place that I can trust! It took four years to land on a great one. Before finding him, I went to two different places with a pain and all they did was to take bunch of X-rays, comprehensive evaluation and send me home saying that I need crowns, replacement of many fillings, tongue exercises (which are not covered by insurance). It was really sad to be left untreated and going through many X-Rays, as well as a comprehensive evaluation without emergency pain treatments. You can't imagine the estimated bills I got! Folks pls stay away from Kathy or Jackie the dental hygienist at great Smile Deerfield Dr ali needs to get rid of her before she ruins his practice.i was there for teeth whitening today was there 4 years ago for same without any problems but today it was different Kathy or Jackie didn't protect my gums well she burned my gums I have been in pain since the procedure which I end before 5 minutes into the second round she tried to lie about it telling me I must have been using teeth whitening toothpaste eventually she said she did not see well and the protective barrier was not properly placed, no apology told me to go home and take whatever medicine I take for pain( am not on any pain medication )she also volunteered she burned a lady's lips few days ago and also not Jackie's faulty "the lady's lips were too thin". I was able to complete the first 15 minutes round of the 60 minutes. Got no apology and no discounts was offered made to pay the $229. read more

Saturday I woke up with an extremely swollen left jaw and lip. I went online to hopefully find a dentist that was open and there were not many. I found Great Smile and called them to ask if they could see me that day. Dr. Tekdogan called me right away (even though I was not a current patient) and told me he would call an antibiotic into the pharmacy near me. He than had Jackie set up an appointment for me to come in on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. When I arrived I noticed I was the only patient in the office and discovered that Jackie and Dr. Tekdogan opened up the office just for my emergency!!!! They were both so very nice, extremely careful, and I had a the infected tooth extracted right away with very little pain.
