After decades of struggling with cystic acne, I was left with significant acne scarring that topical treatments had not been able to improve to my satisfaction in any lasting way. I spent considerable time researching different treatment options, knowing that I preferred to avoid surgical procedures and wanted to explore minimally invasive alternatives. That research eventually led me to Erbium laser resurfacing--and began my search for a reputable yet affordable med spa.
After a long and tedious process of contacting numerous med spas throughout Houston and the surrounding areas, I found Ageless Beauty through an online search. Most of the clinics I contacted were unable to provide upfront pricing, instead recommending an in-person consultation, often with a fee that could later be credited toward treatment. Having already done extensive research and having a particular treatment in mind, I found this somewhat frustrating.

Tammy was the very first person I spoke with, and she was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. At my first appointment, I met the family behind the med spa and immediately felt comfortable and welcomed.
What impressed me even more was that I never felt pressured to purchase additional treatments. In fact, I was the one who initiated conversations about their other services and asked how those treatments might benefit my particular skin concerns.
Fast-forward to over a year later, and I have continued returning for RF microneedling and Erbium laser treatments, alternating with PRP microneedling approximately every four weeks.
The combination of RF microneedling, which Tammy recommended, and Erbium laser resurfacing has made a noticeable difference in the appearance and texture of my skin. To my eyes, many of my acne scars appear smoother and less pronounced than before. I feel that I may still benefit from additional treatments to get closer to my personal goal, particularly around my chin, where my deepest scars remain. Nevertheless, I am very encouraged by the changes I have seen so far.
One detail worth mentioning is that my RF treatments involve relatively high settings selected for my particular case. I personally find the intensity difficult to tolerate without the dental block administered by Dr. Harrington. Having this option available has made the experience considerably more manageable for me, and I truly appreciate his care and attention to my comfort throughout the process.
Looking back, I hadn't fully realized just how much a lifetime of acne had affected my skin until I began comparing my recent photographs with older ones. Seeing the differences has been both surprising and emotional.
My goal has never been to look younger. I simply want to feel confident in my own skin again--to reclaim a little of the self-esteem that years of living with acne and its aftermath had gradually taken away.
And slowly, I am getting there.
