Initially we were heading to Welch Village to go tubing down the cannon river, but decided not to follow the bus load into the entrance. Found this place. Great little beach area on Lake Pepin. Favorable restrooms and changing area. Little carts available to use to bring all the beach gear. Comes in handy for all the people who decide to colonize on their own little piece of the beach. Very clean picnic areas, people are friendly and there is a free air pump to blow up all the inflatable water toys. As nice as it is up north, it's nice down south too.

This past Memorial Day Weekend was our third stay at Neshnonoc. This has become our little oasis…read moreaway from home. Don't let the pictures fool you, this place was packed full of campers over Memorial Day weekend but cleared out on Memorial Day itself. The space is dog friendly and the grounds are well maintained. The real sell for us is the pool. They keep the water warm and clean while also having a hot tub. Although the pool is generally crawling with kids, we still appreciated the water. The views of the lake are beautiful and the shade from the trees on the property helped keep our camper cool. They have several full hook up spaces as well as W/E. They have a dump station on site and we also got decent service being near the town of West Salem. For those who don't have campers, you can also rent a cabin instead. On holiday weekends they generally have events (we saw a golf cart parade, a military event for the Memorial Day holiday, as well as a band). So far, this has been our favorite spot to camp.

Tee boxes were in bad shape but the greens were very nice. Back nine was hillier and more challenging with narrower fairways and more water challenges. Staff checking us in was friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful. The bike trail is near so we heard a few riders zooming past. We played fast. Our first 18 holes took about 3 hours. We bopped over to hole two after finishing 18 and played 6 more of the front nine until we caught up to a foursome. Beautiful day on the course.

They refused to give us a refund and would only give us a credit to come back within the next year or so, we reserve three camping areas and had to put a deposit down of 100 hundred per site so that's $300 that we have in credit for a place that we may not ever come back to the staff was very rude. Very disorganized, we asked if we could change days or reschedule due to the weather and the possible flooding and we're told no we would just lose the money if we didn't show up..

We parked near the boat launch and took the 1.5-mile loop to the waterfall, a beautiful, family-friendly walk with no complaints from the kids! The waterfall itself is stunning. We kicked off our shoes, dipped our feet in the cool water, and climbed around the rocks above the falls. There are more challenging hikes if you're feeling adventurous, and it's only about 10 minutes to great Hudson riverfront dining afterward. This is my secondary visit where we came for a short hike to the falls with our dogs. If you are not from WI, be prepared to pay a few extra dollars more as a non-resident. My family parked near the entrance and used the trail next to the parking lot. There is a giant hill leading down to the falls which means the hike back is tough and almost breathless. I personally feel like seeing the falls makes it all worth it. When arriving at the falls, there are such a wide variety of humans who are climbing, swimming, sitting in nature, enjoying picnics, taking pictures and even knitting. While we typically do the quick falls hike, know that multiple trails exist and that maps will be provided upon entry. Enjoy!!
