She knows the origins of her fabrics and how to solve wardrobe creation quandaries, such as what to use for lining to control wrinkling and which pattern companies create the best-fitting pants patterns. The only problem, as I told her, is that it's all so delicious that her wares could bankrupt a person. It would be worth it.
