But if you do get a Seat pay the extra money to sit the front row it is so worth it. This is a chopped/iron chef competition dinner where there are two chefs that are given mystery ingredients an hour and a half before the guests arrive. They are allowed one sous shop to assist them and they came up with a plan for appetizer, which is the first time event and a main course which is the second time event and a dessert which is the third time event. It's a flat fee reservation with tip included, except for the drink which you order off the menu and they have very reasonable prices and then you're expected to tip on that. Weeknight reservations are cheaper than weekend. The location is right next to the subway exit so if you're coming from Manhattan, it's an easy ride on the subway. There is a master of ceremonies host who tells you all the rules and conducts the voting and the penalties for overtime spent for ingredients lacking in the chef's dinner. The customers are the ones that award points. On my most recent minute visit a couple days ago I found that one chef had the most superb salmon appetizer that I have ever had. It was pretty much perfect and I would order it at any restaurant that I went to. However, he totally was a failure when it came to desserts and unfortunately, he lost the competition. It was kind of interesting as the males overly selected. The male chefs recipes has been superior and didn't really concentrate on his totally terrible dessert while the female females voted for the female chef. Most several couples were split on their vote. It was quite interesting. This would make a superb family outing or business activity, dinner or romantic date! I highly highly recommend Hudson Table!

I ordered the BBQ Lunch with chicken, pulled pork, and BBQ tofu. The sides for this were vegan cole slaw, garlic roasted broccoli, jalapeño cornbread, mac & cheese, baked sweet potatoes, and I added a tray of salad. The food arrived on time, and they helped set up and got us ready for service. The chicken was on the bone, which I was surprised about. This didn't stop my crowd from finishing it all. The chicken pieces were also quite hefty. The tray of pulled pork was flavorful and not over-sauced. They provided a ton of BBQ sauce that was leftover since the food was perfectly moist and seasoned. The tofu was an excellent vegan option. The mac & cheese was plentiful, which was good because we typically run out quickly. The sweet potatoes and cole slaw were a bit of a dud. The CORNBREAD!!!! Wow, wow, wow! Drizzled with honey butter, this cornbread is moist, sticky, and so good. One problem with Little Urban Foods is that there is no brick-and-mortar, so you have to wait for an event to enjoy the food!

When we arrived we checked in with the hostess and was seated quickly. Our waitress came over to introduce herself and take our drink order. She came back after 10 mins and took our food order. We were given a complimentary pita and hummus with our drinks. The drinks are of a good size and are strong. Not strong in a bad way. The music was great and it was karaoke night so there were a DJ and customers partaking in the festivities. Time passed and no word from our waitress and we notice people who came in after we received their food. We stopped another waitress and asked for an update about our food. Since our waitress was at the bar socializing. We were informed the food is made to order. Ok, not even 5 minutes later our waitress brought us our food. Which was warm and boarder line cold. We didn't complain, things happen. The food was good nevertheless. We order more drinks. With another server as ours was busy socializing at the bar still. I had to get up and go to the bar to request our check. There was a discrepancy in our bill as there were more drinks than what we ordered. There was also automatic gratuity. I'm not against automatic gratuity, but I am against someone getting compensated well for poor service. My friend decided to speak to the owner before writing a bad review. Because she is a business owner and believes it should be brought to his attention. Titus came over after speaking with my friend and apologized for the poor service and stated he would make it right next time as we were on our way out. I'm not sure if there will be the next time. After Titus apologized we still remained to wait for our server to bring us our card back. After 25 minutes I spoke to the other server who was able to get me my card and our coats. I have to say I was disappointed with my experience. I know this was because of the service. The music was great, the atmosphere was great, the food was good despite being warmish, the drinks were good, the bathrooms are clean. The service was poor.
