The girls here really know their stuff! My babies are always loved and taken care of! I never have to worry and they encourage me to call and inquire if I ever am worried or am just missing my pets. The style of this business is unlike any other doggy daycare. I feel as though my dog is part of the family there, all of the employees are so welcoming and kind and they genuinely care about my pups! I most definitely recommend Great Oak!

Completely blended from previous groomer before moving here.

Bed and Biscuit

This isn't a post to BASH - Bed and Biscuit but to warn people of a place to NOT take your pets…read more We have boarded with before with another company (Bobbi's Barks and Bubbles) and have had AMAZING experiences! We will forever be boarding with them! BUT I waited till the last minute to find someone to board our dogs while we went out of town for Thanksgiving. I had called several places and was told "we don't have anymore room" or "we don't have room for them all" or even "we don't have room for your large dog (Jason 100+ lbs)" I finally found (bed and biscuit) they said they have room to accommodate all of our dogs. Wednesday I dropped them off and I initially felt uneasy but our other boarding service has set a VERY high standard. The office was very cluttered and smelt AWFUL. I have worked in a vets office that boarded and was also the pound before and understand it is hard to keep it smelling like roses, but it shouldn't smell that bad! I brought my dogs in one by one smallest to largest. When I got to Romeo I let them know that he will jump out of something very easily. And them once I brought in Jason I told them how big he is that he can quickly get out of something also. They assured me that they will be in an area "just for them and very secure." I asked to see where they will be staying "they said well... there is a mess back there, it isn't set up to show owners" and all sorts of excuses. I said I want to see where they are staying or they won't be staying. They showed me the small MAYBE 4'x4' and 5' high area my four dogs were smushed into... I said they won't work, romeo and jason will jump out. They said they can move them into another area for all four of them to be together and have there on ROOM! I finally leave still feeling uneasy and I should have trusted my gut feeling and never left my babies there. We picked them up earlier than expected Friday around 12. Jason came out first and I saw the wounds on his head and immediately said "what happen to his head" the owners husband got defensive and said "oh he came in like that". Rob and I both said NO, he did not and then he argued with us and I finally said just give me my other dogs and we will go from there. Jason jumped up on me and he was COVERED in his own poop and pee! It was on me now also. I said "what is this!?! Has he been in his poop and pee the whole time!?!?" The owners husband walked off to get my other dogs. He brought out the remainder of my dogs ALL covered in poop and pee. These are dogs who stay in kennels while we are at work during the week and NEVER use the bathroom in their kennels. So we are beyond mad! The owner finally shows up and sees how mad we are and starts to get defensive also. She says they were taken care of and that jason was in a kennel but it was plenty large enough for him. CLEARLY it wasn't! He has a sore rubbed on the top of his head that is crusted and has green matter coming out of it. He has scratches on his back from his back rubbing the top of the kennel. And is moving very slow. I finally tell them owner to give me a refund NOW and she will sign a paper to agree to cover my vet bills. She signed and agreed. Jason laid on our bed and barley moved all night. We took Jason to the vet and he was checked out and was given some medicine. He is much better today! The owner just met me and gave me the cash for the vet bill and has held up to her end of the deal. This post is to make everyone aware off checking closely on where you take your animals and trust your gut feeling

But once I found Ruff House I immediately felt relieved. I have now taken my dog to day care and boarded her for a long weekend and felt very comfortable the whole time. They are great at communication, pictures and have so many amenities for you to be able to personalize your dog's visit. I got pictures every day and saw my dog having the time of her life! Not only is their doggie day care and boarding wonderful, but their social media presence is very consistent, creative and so entertaining! It was so fun to see their post and my dog having so much fun while I was away. Lastly, each employee I have talked to has been very kind and helpful, they really reassured me when I boarded my dog the first time! With 100% recommend this family business!

Still in the Fight - Thank You, Rough House Resort…read more There are people and places in this world that remind you kindness is still alive -- and for me, one of those places is Rough House Resort. As a combat veteran who's faced more battles off the field than on it, I've learned that healing comes in many forms. Sometimes, it's a quiet space. Sometimes, it's a helping hand. And sometimes... it's knowing your best friend -- your dog -- is in the hands of someone who truly cares. To the amazing folks at Rough House Resort, and especially Carolyn, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for welcoming Luna like family. Thank you for caring for her with so much love, for bringing her honey when she got sick, and for going above and beyond to make sure she got the vet care she needed. That kind of compassion means more than words can say -- especially to someone who's been let down before. You didn't just give Luna a safe space -- you gave me peace of mind. And for a veteran still in the fight, that peace is priceless. Much love and respect. I'll never forget it. #StillInTheFight #ThankYouCarolyn #RoughHouseResort #VeteranSupport #DogLovers #Gratitude #LunaStrong .
