I couldn't take it anymore and realized it was getting worse so I said screw it - time to go to the doctor. First off, the ladies in the front office area are such sweethearts, very pleasant and are welcoming. Dr. Evans is pleasant himself and actually had a soft but witty personality. So I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and a heel spur (greeaattt). He rendered his plan of action, told me to come back in 2 weeks and sent me home with "at-home" things to follow. 2 weeks later the pain was a little lessened and sporadic instead of everyday. I was honest that I didn't follow his at-home regimen the way I should have and he gave me the suggestion/ option to get a cortisone shot. I agreed to move forward if it was going to help me....3 minutes later he was back in the office prepping me for the shot in my heel. I took a deep breath, and although he was trying his best to be gentle - that thing HURT LIKE HELL!!! 2 days later - I was able to walk normally again, hop out of bed in the morning, run up and down the steps and dancing like Ginger Rogers :-) !!! So I returned 2 more weeks after that and still have not suffered the debilitating pain and really hope it doesn't return!! If it does - of course I will be more than happy to see Dr. Evans and his team again.

Two part review: one part for Dr. Evans himself and one for the office staff…read more Office Staff: One of the front desk staff is nice, the rest are queens of curtness and incompetence. One might think that helping others is a precondition to working in the health field, but not these ladies. For example, I can forgive the office manager her perpetually sour expression and maybe even her harsh way of speaking to patients. Harder to swallow is that she doesn't know how to handle billing. She tells you your insurance doesn't cover something, then you call your company and find out it does in fact cover the treatment but that the office submitted the wrong diagnostic code. You call the office manager back to give her the correct code and she acts defensive. Ultimately you have to call the doctor in and he quickly sorts everything out. She has a talent for making everything unpleasant and take longer then it needs to. I won't be going back as long as she works there. Dr. Evans: An affable if somewhat distracted guy. He glides in and out of the exam room pretty quickly so have your questions ready. Four stars for him if not for the train wreck of an office manager.

He has also been my doctor and helped me with my plantar facitus. I was unable to walk and had a lot of pain while walking. After seeing Dr. Lipkin a few times. I didn't seek a second opinion, and decided to see Dr. Silverberg based upon his positive Yelp reviews. I can personally say that I was terrified to get surgery, worried that healing would be unsuccessful, but Dr. Silverberg is cool as a cucumber. He really knows what he is doing, backwards and forwards. He has an incredibly calm energy. Exactly what you would want / expect from any surgeon. He informed me about every detail of the surgery, and what to expect afterwards. He gave me his email, and graciously wrote to me when I had extra questions. The day of the procedure, he had a calm, cool presence and everything went very smoothly. A big shout out to the team he works with at the surgery center, my anesthesiologist was fantastic and put me at ease. I hesitate to share details about my recovery, because I know everyone heals differently, but I had a great experience. I was never in pain at all- and Dr. Silverberg continued to answer my emails, called me to follow up, and even texted with me at one point. Amazing! The one thing I must stress if you are considering surgery is- don't fool around with your recovery period. I listened to Dr. Silverberg and iced, elevated, wore my "boot" and didn't push myself. I think so many people have bad recovery experiences because they do not listen to their doctor!!! I've gained back great range of motion (with help from the physical therapist that Dr. S. recommended, and my foot looks and feels great.) All of this to say I'm sadly disappointed in the pedi itself. The office and their associates are wonderful. Friendly and attentive, I had my questions answered and never felt like I was a hassle or a burden. Needless to say, the appointment was more educational than it was an actual MediPedi. Dr. Sha is very friendly and made me smile at first meet with a funny greeting. I was a little cranky since I hadn't eaten but he quickly lifted my spirits. The appointment: We sat and spoke for about 30 mins. I'm so informed and found things out about my feet that I'd never known. It's clear that Dr. Sha loves what he does. One thing I've noticed about the health industry is that they're quick to shove surgery and pills into you. This office doesn't stand on that. The goal is to avoid surgery and to avoid unnecessary means by actually figuring out the cause of the problem and fixing it as best as possible through all alternative avenues. I admire that. But on to the actual service. I'm not sure if it's the fact that it was paid for through Groupon or if this is just the standard here but not too much was done to make me feel a complete difference in my feet. The pedi part took all of about 10-15 mins. For $59, I'm not sure that I'm comfortable with what I got and I'm left wondering if the visit was worth it at all and whether a pedicure at a nail salon with some informational reading would've sufficed. I wish I could give this 0 stars. Do not go to this person for bunion surgery. He will lie and take…read moreadvantage then last minute ask if it's okay for some med student to be in the operating room during your surgery. He used my own insecurities about how my foot looked against me to convince me to get toe shortening's promising it'd make my toes better than they were before and that I would end up with hammertoes if he didn't shorten them. All while assuring me the procedure was completely routine and safe, that he's performed hundreds of them (horrifying to reflect on now). I feel dumb for ever believing him. By shortening the toes he created hammertoes and arthritis in the middle joints. My surgery was performed september 2020. He caused a large bone spur to form, increased the angle of my bunion, took too much bone so now I'd need a bone graft from my hip to fix, and further rotated the sesimoid so that only one knob hits the ground when I walk making it incredibly painful to walk barefoot or without cushioned insoles. Not to mention my previously functioning lesser toes being crippled by his "corrective" surgery. He is a bad bad person. Do not go to him. If you need bunion surgery I highly suggest going to an orthopedic foot surgeon as I'm discovering more and more that most podiatrist surgeons should not be trusted for any surgery. I wish I'd known more at the time and I wish there had been more on the internet warning me of the predatory nature of podiatry or else I'd still have my functioning toes and wouldn't need another surgery to correct the bunion he only made worse. He 100000% should not have a medical license at this point. Remember, health care in this country is a for-profit BUSINESS. Do not get conned by going to this person.

He performed a major reconstruction of both my feet in 2020. Since then, I've had a new type of pain that isn't going away, and completely deformed, crooked toes. I went to multiple post op opinions, last being with an orthopedic surgeon from HSS and everyone was horrified with my scars, surgery, and before/after photos. Everyone is asking 'why?' In retrospect, my biggest mistake was not getting a second opinion after seeing Dr Voloshin. I blindly trusted in what Dr Voloshin told me (he is a 'doctor' after all!) . I had no concept of understanding of how surgery should be done and what are the risks associated with it. Dr Voloshin didn't explain the risks to me of the procedures he was going to do, like toe shortening, ironically, he assured me, that I won't even notice, that anything was performed on my toes,that flexibility will back 100% in a few months, that I'm going to thank him forever,"I guess won't forget him now forever". If he would have told me that the toes may not heal properly because of how RISKY the surgery was, that the toes are going to be stiff forever - I would have never agreed to the surgery. My toes and feet were healthier before, I didn't have a hammer toe, but now, only God knows how I can find a specialist who can fix the awful, botched job that Dr Voloshin performed on me. I'm only 37.On top of it all, I am not able to do any sports or physical activity because of the amount of pain I'm in and stiffness of my toes.I'm destroyed. I went to see Dr. Srino Bharam after having a bad experience working with another hip specialist…read more Due to this I was really wary of seeing another doctor but Dr. Bharam worked incredibly hard to make sure I felt seen and understood as a patient. He was very attentive and made sure I understood everything he was describing regarding my hip injury, taking extra time to explain to me and my parents over the phone. Dr. Bharam told me all my options but recommended that I have surgery as soon as I could in order to fix my torn labrum and hip impingement. This was a non-invasive procedure and I felt that I was in good hands. Him and all the staff, both in his office and the operating room, made me feel comfortable and much less nervous. I really appreciate the level of care Dr. Bharam took with my injury and he recommended me to a physical therapist he often works with, who took all of the details Dr. Bharam gave him to create an amazing recovery plan for me. I am thankful to both Dr. Bharam and Kevin Kay for helping me get better in time to play my very last season of Division III volleyball. I would recommend Dr. Bharam to other athletes dealing with hip injuries as I had a very good experience. He is definitely a doctor who will take the time to answer all of your questions.
