They did a good job trying to minimize the damage as much as possible. The damage that was made was promptly fixed. This is the third time we've had them come to the home. I'm writing a review for this particular service call since it was larger than the last service call (thermostat installs). BQ - if you see this - be prepared, I will call you for lighting updates on the outside of the house this time :)

When unexpected issues came up, they presented us with a range of options and didn't pressure us into having any additional work done. They also accommodated an additional small job that popped up unexpectedly. Estimates are done via computer software, so you can expect consistency in pricing - they're not just making up numbers as they go along. Overall, I found them professional, knowledgeable, and reliable and would use them again. Electrical work isn't cheap - especially on Long Island - but I think we made out OK given the quality of the work and the amount of time they spent on the job.

He couldn't do it, even though he agreed. He came to do the job but never provided me with a receipt or the written letter I needed. He kept avoiding my calls and text messages over a simple letter. I was hoping the new owners would carry on this excellent service . Instead. THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!! The worst contractors I ever used!!! The boss came over in May, to look at the job, described what he would & the charge. It was to add 2 outlets outside, and he explained how he would do it, and the charge for the job. I agreed. They sent their worker over. He was at my home for a short while, didn't do the job, said he had to return another time. BUT he said his boss asked him to collect $1,400 ( half the cost of the job). I paid & then waited. I called many many times , but was told they were busy with a "large" commercial job. After many many calls they sent their worker back 7 more times . Each time he came for a short while , but was not given the correct parts. ( it's true while he was here, I asked him to fix a few detached wires . This was done, eventually, but took many visits and hours, and for which I received an outrageous bill of $1,700). They believe the job was completed in August. ( 3 months from when it began !! 2 outlets !!!!!) The bosses never apologized for the horrible service and yet have the nerve to present me with a bill, and the job is still not properly completed. I don't believe it's the worker's fault. I believe the company has changed with the new ownership. They don't seem to care at all about their customers. I am considering whether I should bother challenging their bill, or just pay and be done with them. I had other workers at my home who observed this fiasco, and they couldn't believe it!!! Great Neck electric would easily lose in court. USE THEM at your own risk.
