When I first Googled what the term 'mogul' actually meant, it informed me that it referred to a bump on a ski slope. Now, bearing in mind this a country pub and not a large dry ski slope or piste, something tells me their name refers to something else.
Regardless, this lovely, traditional-looking country pub is just around the corner from Maghull train station and is perfect for a quiet pint with friends. It's fairly quiet generally; free from kids and youngsters being all noisy and generally annoying, so it's also the perfect place to go for a quiet pub lunch or dinner.
This is also helped by the great food on offer, as the Great Mogul does good quality pub food that is served in large portions, perfect to mop up a few pints with. The sophistication of the food isn't particularly high but it's very tasty, homemade cooking and easily some of the best in the local area. The service is similarly satisfying as the staff there are friendly and attentive, ensuring you have an enjoyable experience whenever you visit. read more
