Stopped in for a badly needed haircut. There was one man sitting in the lounge area and two female barbers. One was working on coloring a females hair the other came out from a back room and called up the male to take a chair. After he was called to take a chair, a couple more guys entered. After waiting for about 15-minutes, one of the females asked "Who's next", to which I indicated I was, and she pointed out a chair to me. I inquired if there was a senior citizen price to which she spoke (Vietnamese?) to the lady who was doing the hair coloring, then looked back at me and said a haircut is $21.00. So much for conversation. She proceeded to pick up a comb which she sprayed with what might've been a cleaning/disinfecting solution and a comb-like attachment which she slipped onto the electric clipper. During the time she was cutting my hair, she carried on a conversation with the other lady. Thank goodness the haircut was quick. Paid the fee and departed. Not a friendly shop. read more

omg. this place literally ripped my hair apart and even when I was wincing and showing obvious signs of pain, the lady (her name was Chi) kept going! Now, I'm not usually a sensitive person with my hair, but if you're dragging your comb through my head, do you mind NOT breaking my hair any further than it has to?! I was a walk-in customer about an hour before they closed. There were a few people in the salon but it didn't look like they were receiving services so I got in for a haircut soon as I walked in. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and ask what type of service I wanted. I let her know that all I needed was a quick trim to cut off all my gross split ends. She gave me a quick consultation on what she was going to, I agreed, then she started cutting. After she finished she showed me the result and it was exactly what I wanted. I took my 3 boys to get a haircut on a Monday. My youngest is 1 and had never gotten a cut before so it was long overdue. There were a few people in line before us, but with 3 people cutting hair it didn't take long for us to get in a chair. The 2 older boys loved their new looks. The 1-year-old hated getting his haircut, but the lady was very patient with him and gave a solid trim. We were even fortunate enough to come in on a Monday when it's just $11 a haircut for men/boys. We chose this place last minute because my daughter decided that she wanted her hair cut and I didn't want to have to set up an appointment and pay an arm and a leg. I found this place on Yelp and gave them a call to make sure they accept walk in clients. They said yes and they are open an hour later than all of the other places so we headed over. At first, everything seemed to be going quite well. The stylist assured my daughter that she could give her the cut that she wanted and began the process. I didn't really examine my daughter's hair when it was finished because by then I had decided to have my own hair done. I asked if they shaved faces and they said yes so I jumped into the chair. Normally I shave my own head and face but I thought what the heck, if they do a good job, maybe I'll just go back every 2 weeks. She did a good job shaving my head and she was careful to make sure my goatee was shaped right. She took more time on my face than she did on my head and I could tell she was doing her best to get all of my hair shaved down nicely. She finished up, I paid and we hit the road. It wasn't until about 30 minutes after we left that the pain started. It seems that during her struggle to shave my beard close and clean, she gave me some of the worst razor burn I've ever experienced. I had razor burn on the front of my neck and the back of my neck and on my chin. She missed a bunch of hairs on my cheeks and got a lot of hair on me and my shirt. Later I took a better look at my daughter's hair and it was done pretty poorly too. I actually got out my clippers and fixed her hair. After all was said and done, I should have just done both of our hair myself. It would've saved us a lot of time and money if I had. Live and learn. read more

I got a great hair cut. Like, I haven't had one this good in years. I'm a girl with very thick straight hair. Okay, to the review. First, the person: I'll be honest, I didn't get the name of the woman that cut my hair. I was a walk-in and didn't wait more than 5 minutes before I was in the chair. I told her what I wanted, she got to work and did exactly what I was hoping for. She was very polite and tried to make small talk (I suck at that, not her). While she was cutting my hair she'd tilt my head this way or that. I didn't mind it but I imagine there are some people that do. From when I entered to exited, I'd say I was in there for maybe 40 minutes. Second, the place: It was nice. I'm not looking for super fancy anything. It was nice in my opinion, clean, and there was a faint smell of incense but I don't mind it (however, someone with allergies might). Let's rewind two seconds and give some background on my experience with hair salons. I usually get my haircut at salons and the price usually comes out to be $60+ Let's be real here.. I was tired of feeling like I was compensating how I felt about my hair just because I paid so much damn money on getting it cut! So, I decided I wanted to try a cheaper place and went to look on Yelp. I saw this place had decent reviews so I made a call, and was booked within the same hour. When I got there, it seemed like it was pretty busy with walk-in customers but they still honored my appt time. After I sat down, I showed one of the women what type of hairstyle I wanted and described the look I was going for. During the cut, she asked me what length I wanted, if the part was right, etc (which I appreciated a lot) And in roughly 20 min, I kid you not, she was already done with my hair! It was exactly the look I was going for and honestly one of the best (and quickest) haircuts I have ever received. If you're ever in need for a great cheap haircut, please do yourself a favor and go here! They only charge $15 for women and can shampoo/style for extra if you want! One of the oddest experiences of my life. I'll keep it short. I walked in no one greeted me. 3 stylists 3 customers. I walked to the counter and no one said anything. So I stood there quietly, then I sat down I figured they were busy I would wait. Then I waited for 10 minutes no one said anything. One of the stylists walked by me to get water and I smiled. Stone face. No one talked at all. Then someone walked in and they greeted him with a smile and said "would you like a haircut we'll be right with you" ... wtf? I felt really weird and he said he'd be back and still no one said anything to me. I was literally 10-15 ft from these people obviously they were ignoring me. I'm going to ask this because I'm married to an asian lady... could it be because I was the only white person around? I got up and walked out and got a great haircut elsewhere... VERY RUDE SERVICE! I will never go back! I don't mind paying extra for a little bit of kindness. The stylist kept combing my hair really hard and hurting my ear, I told the stylist about it but she just kept going, without any apology. I am so upset, she was very rough with the comb and just kept hitting my ear. It was painful. She seemed to not care at all. I also did not feel comfortable that they were talking in their language and I felt that they were talking about me. I will tell my family and friends not to come here.
