She never got frustrated with my amount of calls, and she let me know how much experience her hair stylists had. First of all, she let us come in with a late appointment so that both my husband and I were sure to get our hair done. Walk-ins are an option, but my husband only had one day and a small window of time to get his done. We both got our hair cut by Mariah who was a very cheerful person with a fun personality. She listened patiently and looked at the photos I had brought on my phone explaining the look I was going for. This was something radically different than anything I'd ever had done before, but she did her best to set me at ease. She was efficient, and the prices were great! For female cuts it is $20 and for male it is $17 which was excellent as we are on a budget. It's only a few dollars more than a corporation like Master Cuts or Famous Hair, but in those places you never know who you're going to get hacking at your hair. After she was done and had dried and styled it, it looked better than all the pictures I had brought! I have sent pictures to people, and their consistent first reaction is that it doesn't look like me which is what I was going for trust me. Great prices, great atmosphere. An owner willing to work with you to get you what you need. I will be going back for all my cuts and will be requesting Mariah each time.

After a LOT of calling and questioning the people who answered the phone, I decided on Marian's, and I have never been happier with a decision. My husband and I both needed a hairstyle, but his hours conflicted just a bit with the salon hours, so Marian herself stayed open later to accommodate us. She was friendly, fun, and extremely courteous. To be perfectly honest I've never had so much fun getting my hair done. And when I saw the results I knew I made the right decision. I am 33 years old, and I have never had a hairstyle I love more than this. I have been back three times since (would have been more but there have always either been time or money issues) and I plan to make my fourth visit tomorrow. My Grandmother is currently living at Masternick Memorial Nursing Home down the street from the salon. She really wanted to get a perm so I called to make an appointment with the owner of the salon, Lisa. I drive from Pittsburgh, so Lisa was extremely accomadating in fitting my Grandma into her schedule within the next few days. The inside of the salon is warm and inviting and I love the bathroom and salon area are both wheelchair accessible. Lisa was so lovely and kind while my Grandma was getting her hair done as she assisted with getting her in and out of her wheelchair. Both my Grandma and I were very pleased with the perm and cut. Lisa even showed my Grandma some tips on how she could do her hair after it is washed. My Grandma left feeling like a million bucks. We could not have been happier. I've been getting my lashes permed and extensions from Anna Marie for months now and EVERY time I get a lift, they end up totally kinked and she only found out this last time that she had been putting the perming solution on for 13 minutes LONGER than she should have for sparse lashes. Is she even licensed? She was googling how long to use the solution. I blame her for my loss of lashes which is funny because she blamed me. As for the extensions, she gives me something TOTALLY different every time I go. I always ask for and want the same thing and the first time I saw her I received it but then the next time she gave me the opposite of what I wanted and then the time after that she gave me 10 pound lashes because she just keeps overcorrecting the mistakes she made last time. Totally inconsistent. This last time I went, I finally voiced my concern because I could barely see through the mountain of lashes she gave me but she said I will get used to them. I went downstairs to pay, DID NOT say anything bad about her. I said that she did a good job and the lashes are done well but there's so many and theyre so long and I asked the other girls if I looked crazy or if it was okay. Then I try to rebook to give her another chance and for one theyre out of the perming solution for a month now and two she wouldn't take me again. They are all upstairs talking crap about other clients as well. Either that or the 19 year olds that do hair are all talking about getting trashed and getting $20 lip injections over the weekend. Also had a young girl that looked high in a hoodie do my nails and only booked 45 minutes for tips and dip so she ran out of time and told me to finish them somewhere else. My sister also got horribly ugly "French tip" from them that was sloppy and a gross shade of pink for some reason. Bottom line is this place is totally unprofessional and does not care about their clients at all. You're on their time and if you don't like what they give you, you're gone. Never ever would I recommend this place for anything.
