Olivia had one of the best personalities I have come across. Before I got in the chair she was working on another client and from watching that interaction I was hoping to get her as the stylist. She was lively and could easily connect with people. That is very rare to come across. When I got in the seat she was very inviting and comforting. I had her fix a bad hair trim from another person (this person was not an employee but someone within my circle.) she was more than happy to fix it and the way she went about it helped soothe my negative emotions. We signed in on line, said we had 15 minutes to wait, we arrived and was fifth on the list, we continued to wait an additional 45 minutes, they had two cutters, people coming and going knocking them out, ok I'm a patient person, then this lady walks in, she was not signed on nor has ever been to a great clips before, she signed her on and then took her straight back? When the lady came back I asked how much longer it was going to be? She said we have another cutter coming in and is going to be here soon? Toni was great! We spoke about the NFL. Turns out the shop does not like Tom Brady, the greatest QB that is currently alive! It was fun and haircut turned out great. Very personable and hospitable. Respectful and courteous with a southern vibe. Very busy as soon as it opens. Missed the line and had to chill. Small seating area but everyone is friendly. Great Clips - Front of Store tucked in the corner - Hair Salons Near Me - Wilson, North Carolina

When I entered Great Clips in Wilson NC on Raleigh Rd, I was greeted by a woman that told me I had a 2 hour wait. I told her ok and decided to go to the grocery store in the meantime, being I do not drive. When I got back to Great Clips, I had 4 cartons of 12 pack Pepsi and 2 bottles of laundry detergent. I attempted to come in and bring my things. (I was trying to put them out of the way and against the wall) This woman is cutting a man's hair and she yelled and told me that I could not have my merchandise in their establishment. I was trying to ask her if there were someplace to put it while I get my haircut. She turns, looks at me and said, "I said what I said!! I'm tired now!!) I didn't know what to do so I began stacking my merchandise outside the door. I asked one of the employees if they would help me to keep an eye on it. They said they would. Another employee came over and helped me move my belongings into the establishment. When that lady started to yell and berate me, there were countless customers present. I chose not to say anything to this woman named Tina that said she was the assistant manager. I felt like a child the way she was talking at me. There is no way I can, in good consciousness, tell anyone this is a great place to get a haircut. That woman, Tina, was rude, disrespectable and had absolutely no customer service. I would advise anyone to NOT go there unless you want to be disrespected and treated like you are nothing. Two thumbs down for this establishment. I would say give it a shot but not with that assistant manager, Tina, there. I hope the owners contact me because I feel this woman is a horrible excuse for an employee. Worst haircut of my life. I usually go to a friend of mine who works at a local place but she is out of town so I figured I'd try Great Clips. I walked in, they asked for my information and what I would like. I told them how I like my hair cut and no more than three minutes later she was done. Quickest haircut I've ever seen. There was another guy getting his hair cut when I walked in and he was still getting it cut when I walked out. The top was still just as long as it was before arriving. The sides were uneven. She trimmed up the back on the right side but not the left. There were tiny pieces of hair left all over my forehead. I'm not the kind of guy to make a fuss and demand things to be redone ...I just leave and never return. I do not recommend Great Clips. I'm on my way to another place right now to get it fixed. read more

We live full time traveling across the USA. Getting a good haircut is important to me. I have used Great Clips in many states over the years. I was fortunate to find this shop in Wilson NC. Olivia did a great cut on my thinning hair, made it look much better than when I came in. It appears that Great Clips keeps a record of the cuts on their customers and she added some info for the next hairdresser I may see. Rachel did a great job fixing the mess of a haircut I received at fantastic Sams. She took the time to listen to me.

My first experience here was great! This was about two weeks ago. Today, however, not so good. Today I had Michelle and while she was very nice, she could use brushing up on technique and being alert to client comfort. A few things: I got showered while she washed my hair. She did not pick up her left arm to keep it off my face while washing and several times scraped my scalp while rinsing. Also she wrung my hair so tightly it was painful to my scalp. I've never had a stylist wring the hair so tight it pulled my scalp hair. Drying my hair was rough too. I constantly felt hot spots and she stared out the window while drying rather than seeing what she was doing which was blow hot air in my ears and eyes and nearly scorch me a few times. She is very heavy handed. I feel the only place to be heavy handed is during the massage and that was the only time she wasn't. I heard her say she didn't have the clientele another coworker had (who was who I had the first time). Well, this is why. I felt like she was a "lazy worker" trying to rush through. So maybe she will read this and realize and improve her client's experience in the future. read more

Absolutely would not recommend this place ever. Had Tiera as a "stylist" and could not have had a worse experience. You'd think asking for your hair straightened for an amazing $35 wouldn't be that big of a deal, but NO Tiera was going on break so I'd have to wait 15 minutes. Are you freaking kidding me? My husband needed a haircut and did not feel like waiting for his barber. I suggested Great Clips. We were taken promptly. I had encouraged him to get a "buzz' cut as he will be starting chemo this week. We were laughing about this. I sat and waited for him. Upon completion of his cut, the stylist advised him there would be no charge. This is a service provided by Great Clips. I was so overwhelmed by this act of kindness I could hardy express by appreciation without sobbing. I am writing this to say a big THANK YOU. By the way, the haircut was great!!! read more

I've been here many times in the past and been satisfied with my haircut. Today was different, my hair dresser was very distracted talking to other customers and coworkers, stepping away from my chair many times in the process. I feel like she did a poor job on the front of hair and also failed to consult with me before shaving off my sideburns completely (which is not what I wanted to happen).
