I called today at noon in hopes of getting an appointment for a blow dry and was surprised to get an appointment at 1:00pm with Marci. I walked in at two minutes 'til and Marci got me right in. We talked for a bit and she asked me what kind of style I was looking for before going to work on my hair. I had a nice shampoo and she styled my hair until it was perfectly sleek and pretty, despite the humid weather. I would definitely go back! My check was $30, not bad at all considering my hair still looks great eight hours later!

Against my better judgement, I made an appointment at Tangi's knowing it would be at least triple what I would have paid at Great Clips/Aveda. However, having just gotten back from my appointment, I can happily say that I had an AMAZING experience and it was well worth the extra money. Shane started with a consultation, asking what I was looking for and his thoughts on what might fit my lifestyle best. After shampooing/conditioning my hair, making the cut, and styling it, my hair was nearly 6 inches shorter, now resting neatly at my shoulders. Even though I walked in unsure of what I wanted, Shane was able to make my hair look incredible in under an hour while making good conversation. Upon leaving, I received a "goody bag" of business cards, a pen, magnet, and even a 20% off coupon for my next visit! No regrets despite being a bit above my student budget, but I will definitely be back again!

I started going to Uniquely You back in about 2003. I was introduced to an awesome lady named Olga, and she is amazing! Her personality is always bubbly even when she is running around like crazy, and her skills are phenomenal. When I first went to see Olga, I had long brown hair, and I was in the "DON"T CUT TOO MUCH OFF," portion of my life. Well we played with some color, and she convinced me to cut off the dead ends. I don't know what type of crazy magic this girl pulled, but by the end of that year I had hair up to my cheek bones that went from boring brown to a platinum paradise. Talk about bombshell. Between the two ladies I have gone to (April is listed in another review...) I never feel more beautiful than when I leave the chair of either one of these two ladies. I tell Olga all the time that she is a hair ninja. She comes up with crazy ideas that I never would have thought of, and I used to go to her and tell her to do whatever she pleased because I KNEW the results would come out fantastic, and what she determined looked awesome, looked much better than any of my plain ol ideas. Olga will tell you if a cut or color isn't right. She is creative, and will ask you if you are sure before any drastic changes. For the amazing work that she does, she should be charging much more than what she does...(but I'm of course, glad that she doesn't.) I moved to NC and I seriously just flew back into town to visit people and managed to squeeze in for an appointment with her. I have gone to a stylist here, but so far none have held a candle to either of my ladies. So to Olga, thank you for making me feel beautiful and for being so amazing at what you do. You rock, and Uniquely You is such a conveniently located location as well. Ladies and Gents, if you need a hair ninja, you've just met your match.

I made my appointment and was eager to have a new style. I was very specific with Erin (the manager and stylist who was cutting my hair) and showed her what I wanted. However, I ended up to the point of tears due to the horrible hair cut I received. It did not look like what I had asked for, she didn't listen to what I had to say about my hair, and it was an awful experience. She did apologize at the end, but neither the manager (Erin) nor the shop owner, who was there, bothered with anything besides, "I know your not happy with your haircut." Really? Now I'm stuck with an awful haircut until it grows out enough to get the layers blended without losing more length. I definitely do NOT recommend this salon!

I had been maintaining the same haircut (long, bleached ends, same length, minimal layering) in case I ever wanted to straighten it for a special occasion. After months of this and realizing my curls weren't living their best life and the fact that I never ended up straightening my hair, I felt it was time to get an actual curly cut. For any of those hesitant for the same reasons, I'm telling you, go in and have Ghiovanna take care of you. My curls are more even and coily, my hair looks super healthy--I've honestly never been happier with a haircut. I was really nervous about getting my hair cut but she was just fantastic! Not only did she go slow and make sure everything was okay with me - she had great suggestions and was also really entertaining. :) Hair cut was $45 - no washing, etc. It wasn't even needed though - she did an awesome job just using the hair dryer and a brush! The salon itself is small but very nice on the inside. The parking lot and waiting area were a decent size. The building was also very clean and neat. From the looks of it, the other stylists do a great job as well. Amber is my new favorite though, so I will certainly be back to her! :)

This little salon is tucked in along West Loveland and is in my mind one of my best kept secrets! The place is kept very clean and decorated pretty cool. Greg does my hair and he is also the salon owner. He always does a fabulous job on my hair. I came here after 3 years of not having a haircut (due to previous experiences at other salons) I trusted Greg would listen to me and do a good job and he came through and always has since then. The salons prices are really affordable although he does not provide a menu which I have suggested that he do. I don't think that they take walk ins here. They have kind of weird hours so I would definitely suggest calling.

I walked in thinking I made an appt with someone and I actually didn't make the appt. She overheard at the reception and took me in at 4:30pm and did highlights and a cut for me. It's rare to be able to witness such a selfless act these days to go out of the way for someone else.
