Upon arrival in store, I was greeted promptly and given a bottle of water by the owner. Afterwards, my stylist, Kiarra, took great care of me and did a wonderful job on the highlights in my hair! The color was matched perfectly to the reference pic I showed her. She was super gentle and detailed throughout all stages. Also, since I'm a perfectionist she helped me with some touch ups and was very thorough in helping catch any places that needed additional fixing. I love that she was super empathetic and understanding about getting every single hair detail just right until I was satisfied (I've definitely noticed other stylists in the past seeming annoyed about fixing up and redoing an area)! They were also able to accommodate me after work same day and gave me some recommendations on products and extensions! Really loved coming here! The staff are wonderful and welcoming, but definitely shout out to Kiarra for her awesome service and passion!

After months of this and realizing my curls weren't living their best life and the fact that I never ended up straightening my hair, I felt it was time to get an actual curly cut. I have gone to the Village Spa since I was a senior in high school and got a terrible highlight at Ambiance, another Aveda salon in West Chester. My mother was not having it, I ended up in Kellie's wonderful hands and we have been in a semi-exclusive relationship ever since. I say semi-exclusive since I spent a year and a half away on a rotational program, and while Indiana was a close enough drive to get my hair done, Boston and South Carolina were not. I have long, very curly hair and am pretty terrified of new stylists. However, I love new styles and colors and Kellie always knows what to do. "I want to be a Kardashian" transalates to a dark sexy chestnut. Then we went blond for a while. Then I wanted to grow it out, so she took my hand, showed me scary "Reba" color, and I walked out with an awesome Red mane. Now I'm back to a little blond, which she balayaged beautifully. I have been stopped on the street, at restaurants, and especially out of town and been asked how/where I do my hair. Curly hair is no joke people. If you want to try someone new go to Kellie, she knows exactly what she's doing. My entire family has gone to different stylists here at some point, but my mom and I are pretty religious about it. My dad is an indecisive person that doesn't like the cost, but always comes back after a few bad "cheap" cuts. Call ahead and set up an appointment, and they will figure out the right stylist for you. The owners also cut hair, which is always nice to see in this industry. It is pricey, but your hair will look amazing. I have also gotten waxes and have never been disappointed. I'm sure any service will do a wonderful job, just be prepared to pay for it.

After shampooing/conditioning my hair, making the cut, and styling it, my hair was nearly 6 inches shorter, now resting neatly at my shoulders. Even though I walked in unsure of what I wanted, Shane was able to make my hair look incredible in under an hour while making good conversation. Upon leaving, I received a "goody bag" of business cards, a pen, magnet, and even a 20% off coupon for my next visit!
