Upon arrival in store, I was greeted promptly and given a bottle of water by the owner. Afterwards, my stylist, Kiarra, took great care of me and did a wonderful job on the highlights in my hair! The color was matched perfectly to the reference pic I showed her. She was super gentle and detailed throughout all stages. Also, since I'm a perfectionist she helped me with some touch ups and was very thorough in helping catch any places that needed additional fixing. I love that she was super empathetic and understanding about getting every single hair detail just right until I was satisfied (I've definitely noticed other stylists in the past seeming annoyed about fixing up and redoing an area)! They were also able to accommodate me after work same day and gave me some recommendations on products and extensions! Really loved coming here! The staff are wonderful and welcoming, but definitely shout out to Kiarra for her awesome service and passion!

I had taken work off that day and everything for that appointment. And all for nothing. And yes, I did curse at your staff member. I said "what the hell are you guys thinking?" "Why can't I be helped otherwise or accommodated? Hell no, I don't want to schedule another appointment." And what do you mean I rescheduled my appointment in March? Your stylist called me and told me ON VOICEMAIL: the day before my appointment told me she was sick. Fast-forward two weeks later . Then two weeks later I call you guys and tell you I might be 10 to 15 minutes late due to a car crash on the highway and you immediately told me to reschedule. You don't even try to accommodate me in anyway so keep lying keep talking lies. That's a damn shame. So I'm so sorry you guys think "hell" is such a bad word. Also this is all after my appointment two weeks before was canceled by your stylist. Never had that done before by a stylist thought. Hell I would've taken a different stylist that day. I would've even waited . But you guys just immediately canceled on me. It seemed like you really wanted to get out of there. It was close to the end of your hours at the salon. Either way, it was extremely unprofessional and instead of accommodating me by having me go to another stylist you guys just canceled my appointment. Very unprofessional they do not communicate well with their clients. I'd recommend a more established place that cares more about their customers and clients. That's a damn shame because I was gonna bring my children there. Oh and I think it's really funny how you guys said that I called and said to you that I was gonna be 20 to 25 minutes late . No one does that. No one says that they're gonna be almost a half hour late and expect to be seen. So right there I hope everyone reading this knows that you're lying. Any normal person would see that's a big bold face lie. But pop off, sis. Also folks notice the language they use "Sorry for YOUR misunderstanding" HAHA! No ma'am, no misunderstanding here. I understand fully what's happening. Thank you for your passive aggressive message. but I've taken my money elsewhere and my $25 tip that I gave your stylist. I will take that elsewhere. And same to you, sis have a good day, matter fact, have a better day!

Last Thurs I had to call to cancel getting my hair foiled on Fri d/ t a personal situation but kept my hair cut appt. When I checked out on Fri I was told they have a policy requiring 48 hr notice for cancelations or u may be charged. I thought wtf. Sat I get a call from a man at the salon telling me again about the policy. I've only canceled anything twice in a yr. Is this the 3rd grade? Really!! Well they can stick their policy right up their ass & I will not be going back. Guess they don't know there r at least 15 salons within a 5 mile radius from them.

I called today at noon in hopes of getting an appointment for a blow dry and was surprised to get an appointment at 1:00pm with Marci. I walked in at two minutes 'til and Marci got me right in. We talked for a bit and she asked me what kind of style I was looking for before going to work on my hair. I had a nice shampoo and she styled my hair until it was perfectly sleek and pretty, despite the humid weather. I would definitely go back! As a student, I didn't want to pay a lot of money and had planned on going to Great Clips or a local school like Aveda, but Aveda was booked out for two weeks and I didn't want to relive the awful experience I had last time at Great Clips. Against my better judgement, I made an appointment at Tangi's knowing it would be at least triple what I would have paid at Great Clips/Aveda. However, having just gotten back from my appointment, I can happily say that I had an AMAZING experience and it was well worth the extra money. Shane started with a consultation, asking what I was looking for and his thoughts on what might fit my lifestyle best. After shampooing/conditioning my hair, making the cut, and styling it, my hair was nearly 6 inches shorter, now resting neatly at my shoulders. Even though I walked in unsure of what I wanted, Shane was able to make my hair look incredible in under an hour while making good conversation. Upon leaving, I received a "goody bag" of business cards, a pen, magnet, and even a 20% off coupon for my next visit! No regrets despite being a bit above my student budget, but I will definitely be back again!

If you are in need of any kind of salon service, whether it be for hair, waxing, spray tan or…read moremakeup, Elon Salon has you covered! I have been going to see Melissa for many many years and through out the couple of salons she's been at, Elon is by far my favorite. The salon itself is easy to get to on Cincinnati-Dayton Road and sits in a brand new building in front of the church. All of the stylists that work here are fabulous and remember your name, even if you don't go to them. This is a huge plus in my book for the customer service! Melissa does a fantastic job and has colored and cut my hair for nearly 13 years now, so she's been with me for every color and cut combination you can think of! Elon offers spray tan services now which are more affordable and less "orange" than the spray tans I've received from actual tanning salons. The girls who do this really know how to make the tans natural looking, so it's easy to fake that "I've-been-on-a-beach-all-week" tan. Oh and ladies, if you're looking for a salon to accommodate your bridal party on the big day, Elon is it!! I got married last June and they were able to get hair and makeup done for 8 women in just a few hours. We started at 9 am and we were out of there by 1 pm! All of my bridesmaids loved their up-do's and make up (in fact, my Matron of Honor liked her hair and makeup for my wedding, more than she liked it for hers, just a year before! Guess she should have gone to Elon!) They have so many wonderful services to offer that I would spend all day listing them out. Just make an appointment and go! Oh, and don't worry about those high-pressure sales at the end of your appointment either. This isn't a Mitchell's and these hairdressers won't push a $50 can of hair spray on you just to meet a commission.

It seemed that the girl who did my manicure never learned how to do it in a proper way. Instead of preparing my nails and cuticles for a gel color , she right away applied gel on my nails which was very unprofessional. Of course I didn't not like the result of this "manicure" , because the gel color was all over my skin and it had air bubbles under the gel. When I asked her to fix it, she gave me a look (like "what do you want from me??!" ) I ended up going to CVS pharmacy, where I had to buy gel nail polish remover. Very disappointed with this experience.
