First time, I came here I went on mid/late March and, hair stylist, Ingrid gave me a great haircut. I always go with a medium/longish blowout quiff, short on the sides and she did a great job. Second visit, May 21 on Thursday, she also did a great job as well. I did tell her to make the top a bit shorter due to the fact that it gets super hot in the summers here in SO CAL. She gave me a short texture quiff this time and short on sides. She did a phenomenal job. I truly recommend, hair stylist, Ingrid! Went today for a quick haircut. I checked in at home and arrived a little later but I was still on top of the list. Andrea greeted me and cut my hair. She was very very nice. It's the little things that she did that made my visit amazing, such as blow drying all the extra hair off me and using a towel to wipe down my forehand and neck. She even tripped the ear hairs and wipe it with a towel. Very good service. read more

Have been going to Great Clips in Valencia next to Target in River Oaks shopping center for around 3 years, since approximately 2019. Got lucky and found a stylist who did a good job, & only went there when she was working. Unfortunately my favorite stylist, Luma, left the salon & yesterday got a terrible hair cut from Mary Anne, who doesn't listen to what the customer wants. More than once before she started cutting I said I liked hair length on the sides below middle of the ear, in other words, longer on the sides than many get. Mary "couldn't care less about what customer wants" Anne then cut my hair ABOVE the ear. I was shocked. Great Clips is a discount salon, but Luma acted like a real stylist & I always tipped $10. Tipped Mary Anne zero and never going back to this place, after being a regular for at least three years. read more

The stylists seem friendly and do a nice job with the haircuts. However, they earned only one star due to their lack of honesty. They have an online waiting list, which is a nice option. I walked in and was put on a waiting list. I was in a hurry but one stylist said to wait because I would only have to wait 5 minutes. Ok, no problem. The two stylists served 2 customers fairly quickly. I waited 10 minutes and another customer walked in. Five more minutes passed. A stylist finishes a cut and then checks in another online customer. She looks at me and says that she'll be just a minute. She comes back and grabs the other customer. I get up to look at the waiting list and see my name as number 4. I started at number 5. After waiting 20 minutes, I left. As with any business, just be honest with your customers. If they are in a hurry don't hustle them to get their service. If they can't wait, they may return and make an online appointment next time. Great Clips may be a great hair salon, but they lack honesty and that is key to me even though lack of honesty seems to be a going trait now a-days. UPDATE: I changed my original rating of 1 star to 4 stars because the owner personally contacted me and discussed the incident. Never did she ask me to change my rating. She apologized and offered me a chance to come back and have a positive experience. I will most likely not return, because I have a regular barber, but hat is excellent customer service! Three weeks ago I walked into this establishment to get a SMALL TRIM!!! Roxanne was the butcher who destroyed my hair that day. She literally left me with 2 inches of hair all around my head!!! That's after giving her very specific instructions on what I wanted done to my hair first and foremost was do not cut higher than right here and I proceeded to show her a mole on the back of my neck and to not go above it not only did she cut above it she cut 4 inches above it and around my entire head. I don't have long side swept bangs I have bangs that are half an inch long no one cuts bangs that way no one cuts long layers in the way that my hair now looks. It doesn't end there it gets better! Roxanne's remarks AFTER the fact are even more representative of how TINA MARQUEZ conducts her salon. Roxanne & the manager Veronica proceeded to have the audacity to make remarks about the COLOR OF MY SKIN!! According to Roxanne & Veronica "at least you have beautiful skin" is somehow supposed to RECTIFY the damage done to my hair & just BEFORE MY 42nd BIRTHDAY!!! This was 100000% done MALICIOUSLY. This was NO ACCIDENT! These WOMEN ARE RACIST ASSHOLES. As if that's not bad enough, my PTSD has gone full blown AGAIN. This is AFTER I told Alllllll 3 women, including customer service that just 3 months ago I survived a seizure & heart attack 2 days before my sons 5th birthday! I specifically told them I wanted a SMALL TRIM. This is not a trim. I spent $140 & ruined good extensions I had to try & fix this hideous mess on my head! However Tina refused to even cover the $140 I already spent so I was forced to have them removed. Then Tina had the added nerve to offer me vouchers to a salon that CHOPPED ALL MY HAIR OFF!!! Are you kidding me?! What kind of reimbursement is that??? You all messed with the wrong woman. I will absolutely see you in court Tina!! My daughter had a big knot in her hair when I bright her in for her haircut. I told the hair dresser to cut it out then even her hair out. I told her we were trying to brush it out to no avail. She decided to brush the knot out, then proceeded to cut her hair at the length we agreed upon. When it came time to pay I asked if I could use a coupon and she got all mad at me stating that brushing the knot at would cost $4. She said she didn't agree to the amount in the coupon and that was her prerogative. I asked how much I owed her for the cut and brush out. I paid twice what I had intended on paying. She lost the business of all four of our family members today. I think it would have been much better for her to explain that she was going to brush out the knot and that it would cost $4 plus negate the ability for us to utilize a coupon. read more

Horrible! My husband had our daughters hair cut and bangs trimmed a few months ago by an older woman (don't know her name) and she butchered her hair. My husband however will not say anything. Fast forward to this past weekend, my husband needed a haircut and went for himself, the same lady cut or butchered his hair.
