Only place I will get my haircut. I trust Eddie and Stephanie every time I need a quick trim or a full haircut. They are both fast, kind, efficient, and detailed with their work. Most of their staff is very friendly and welcoming at all times. read more

The decorations are always fun in this place, but the vibe of the staff is like they're giving dementor haircuts all day. No one smiles and barely speaks. I would also not describe it as welcoming for kid's cuts. Spend your $20 bucks somewhere else. read more

Really just average. Hair cuts were fine enough. We got what we paid for. It's quite clean, and there were plenty of stylists available for a Friday evening. Absolutely no drinks, so don't bring in your water or stop for a coffee before your visit like I did. They also only allow 1 parent to be with a child under the age of 5. 2 of ladies I spoke with were a bit rude and 1 was even condescending when I didn't use the right words to explain what I was looking for in my sons haircut. After I snapped a couple of photos, she became quite friendly. I personally won't be back with my kiddos. I think my hubby will return if he happens to be in the area. It was quick and efficient for him. read more

Horrible Customer Service. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! The manager is extremely rude and treated my 8 year old son horrible. The manager kept insisting that I sit down, she did not allow me to be with my son, even though she has a sign posted that one parent may be there. My son got home with cuts on his neck from the machine nicking him and crying. She over cut his hair by a lot, she did not go by the notes from the previous visit, and she kept telling him it did not really hurt. The worst part is that after I called Great Clips Customer Service, they said the owner decided to do NOTHING and as corporate they would do nothing as well. read more

They have an app for androids and iphones now. This app tells you how long the wait time is and let's you check in. If your taking the whole family you can check everyone in. So convenient and so web 2.0. Got my cut by Maria today. She took her time and did an excellent job. read more

Everyone's always asking me how I'm so fly? They all wanna know how I get my hair to look so lit. Spoiler alert: It's Great Clips. They don't just give you a haircut, they cut all of 'em! Har! I've always managed to get good service here. You can check in faster if you download their app, but I've always just strolled in, and haven't had to wait long. There's usually a lot of stylists/barbers available, and nobody seems to be getting anything complicated like dye jobs or a beehive. The staff has always been friendly, and they have magazines to read while waiting. The stylist has always asked lots of questions to ask how I wanna get it cut- always go for the classic Mullet cut. They'll even shave in the racing stripes on the side at no extra fee. It's a chain store, located in the Sunset Ridge shopping center. Sunset Ridge is one of the oldest shopping centers around, and it's such a cool, retro place to go. The whole center boasts a sorta retro Art Deco look, with benches to hang out at in the covered walkway. Parking is easy with a shared shopping center lot. read more

I considered giving this locations a one star review but lucked out from learning if it would earn such a review. I walked in today to see the place was busy; there were five stylists working and five people on the list before me. When I checked in the stylist was rude, expressing her frustration that I was a new customer with a groan and eye roll and she'd need to input my name and number. She was unable/unwilling to give an estimated wait time. Once seated, I saw another customer walk toward the cashier after receiving a cut; his haircut was bad, the hair line on the back his neck was obviously crooked. This poor guy clearly had no clue what was going on the back of his head. I immediately got up and left. With all the other options in the area, the choice was easy for me to go down the street. read more

I have been to this location and have gotten okay haircuts in the past. However, after the service I received this past visit, I do not recommend this location. I was not shown/asked about the length that was going to be cut from the top and the stylist took it upon herself to decide how short my hair was going to be. She then sped through the entire haircut did not ask about my sideburns or how I wanted the neckline. After the haircut, she did not show me what the back of my head looked like or brush any hair off. If you are not in the mood to cut hair or provide even mediocre service, do not take it out on the customer. read more

Great customer service. I decided to visit this great clips because it's within walking distance from my house. Their app also allows to check in online. I just wish they accepted Apple Pay. I'll come here again. read more

Don't bother coming here. Use your money on more experienced stylists. Most of these girls seem straight out of school and Don't do a good job at listening to what you want done and also overlook the cut they've done, because the past 3 times my son's hair always had hair peices that are long and they didn't cut or...his line was crooked and had to take him back twice. They don't act too friendly and inviting especially the manager. I do NOT reccomend coming here. Take your son's to a actual barber. The dudes tend to take their time and get it right unlike the females. read more

Awful experience. So rude from the start, asked for one inch off but stylist disagreed with what I wanted and cut almost 3. Constantly insulted the color, length, and health of my hair. Highly recommend not going to this location. Note that I am not one to complain, ever. read more

Super friendly, clean and helpful. Have my son a great haircut. Will be back. Everyone made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. Made sure we were happy with haircut. read more

I asked the person cutting my hair only to cut it so much and she cut it way too short it's been over a month and it's still not grown back to where I need it to be so I won't be going back to the salon. read more

We have been customers at their locations in San Antonio for over twenty years. The past two years we have noticed that the stylists have changed every week. The quality of many of the new techs is pretty bad and we can never get our favorite stylist because they always transfer people from their normal locations. Unlike most hair salons, Great Clips does not believe you should rely on a certain person to cut your hair. Now, every time you visit Great Clips you take a chance on a potluck stylist and that will not work for us. Contacting the corporate office for Great Clips does not work. They have no control of the local owners who don't care. They just want to grow as large as they can and make lots of dough. The individual customer is of zero concern at Great Clips. read more

Stephanie is really attentive to clients haircut. And always looking Pretty and professional

Excellent service: Johnny is as good as any Salon Barber. The sign in is a great feature!! read more

Great Clips - Hair Salons Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

This hair salon doesn't offer any way to sign up for their extensive wait of at least an hour and a half except for walk ins and downloading their corporate app. If you call, they are abrupt and push you off the phone. When you finally get a haircut they tell you most things are against policy and one of their stylists will use your shoulder to get the hair off you by hitting your collarbone over and over, leaving a bruise. Also havjng gone multiple times there have been no repeat stylists, forcing me to have to repeat what I need to a person who won't cut it exactly the same way as my previous hair cut. Overall crap, for children and never for business or military. Their fades are absolute crap and will make it so you have to come back in and ask for a redo from another stylist. read more

Went in to donate my hair. Asked for a little shorter than shoulder length. Somehow Jennifer decided it should be a bob. I don't know how the mix up happened. The first cut she made was against what I asked for. Then, proceeded to tell people I asked for a bob. Next time, I think I'll go somewhere where what I ask for counts. read more

I Love How We Dont Have To Make No Appoinment We Can Just Walk-in Or With The (GREAT CLIPS APP) Just Hold My Spot While I Am On My Way To The Salon, And Have Any Great Available Stylist. read more

Terrible customer service. Online check in completely inaccurate. Checked in online and was quoted a 20 minute wait time. Arrived 5 minutes prior to our appointment time and when we checked in we had a 25 minute wait from that point. Stylists are extremely rude and do not care that your quoted wait time is grossly underestimated. Don't waste your time on the app or this mismanaged business. So many other options in AH where your business is appreciated. read more

I always said I'd never get my haircut at a place like this due to my overwhelming fear of getting my hair butchered. The girls at great clips put my fears to rest. Always super friendly and upbeat you can't go wrong here. Great clips have saved me in a pinch and they'll do the same for you!! read more

Even though this is convenient and we come here all the time - I was very dissappointed with the last trip. I thought my husband was to blame every time my son came home with all of his gorgeous curly hair cut to bits. So - I took him this time and gave specific instructions on his haircut. Did she listen to one word I said? NO! It was awful - I will not go back and let them do that again to my five year old again! Poor kid, I think he's young enough that he won't be scarred for life. Hello - listen to your cusomers please!!!! They got two stars because they give free lollipops after your haircut and it is fast. (Maybe fast because they don't listen and cut everyone's hair the same or however they heck they want to do it!!!!) read more

In all fairness the Salon Owner , Leslie E . Norton, at the Great Clips on Sunset Ridge, sent me a check for my less than satisfactory service by one of their employee's, namely Roselyn. If I ever get over the shock of what she did to my hair, and decide to check with them again, I will take a photo with me of what I would like, along with checking out the other hair cutters and what they are doing. For now, I am very gun shy , using these "quick wok" salons.. :-) . I guess , you get what you pay for. read more

The stylist was so RUDE on Saturday 11/24/18 that I could not listen to her question me one more time about what order the clippers numbers were to be used in......so I got up and left! Why would I be there to pay someone to be a jackass when I could just shave my head for free at home? This employee even slammed something down by the front kiosk as we left and sarcastically told my daughter and son-in-law and I to have a nice holiday...taking my business to Sport Clips which by the way did a fabulous job!!!! read more

I had been going to this location for hair cuts, however today I was treated very rudely and did not get the type of service I expect. I went to check in online and was received a message stating that they were not accepting online check-ins. They showed a 56 minute wait on the website. So, I called and Dominic answered the phone. I told him that I was trying to check in online and it would not let me, and he did not know why it would not let me perhaps for the length of wait time. I asked if he would check me in over the phone and he stated he could not do that it was only available online. He stated I would have to come to the location to check in. I let him know that did not make sense to me and he got a very condescending tone and said if I want to get in that is what I have to do or wait until. It does not make any sense to me that they would want me to drive in, check in, and wait for an hour sitting there. They created the check in service so their clients would not have to wait like this and I am confused on why it matters how you check in. So I let Dominic know that I would find a new location to get my hair cut, for good. read more

My 80-year-old father went for a haircut at this Great Clips recently. Five minutes after this Great Clips ran his credit card, which he handed to the GC employee to pay for his haircut (and tip), that card was also "somehow" billed for an $800 online purchase with a company we have never heard of. And then another online purchase was made. Our bank alerted us.to activity on my father's credit card because it was highly unusual for his card. When we called this GC store, the Great Clips manager was of no help though. Thus, we will never go there again. Be careful of this particular store. read more

Hit or miss depending on who is working that day. Staff is friendly, ample parking, and it's great that they save info from your last visit, but the haircuts are not consistently good. read more
