I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED to say that Master Stylist Vivian, Lily, Anthony and Danielle all made my dream a reality. The photos show the absolutely CRAZY transformation of my hair under these skilled stylists. Instead of wanting to put a bag over my head, I am over the moon when I look in a mirror now. Vivian has been doing hair since the 1980s, and she is truly a GENIUS. She was careful, ensuring that the bleach did not fry my hair, and she had the best ideas. It was a long process, of course, but worth all of the hours in her chair. Owned by two awesome young women, Kaylan and Heather, who always make sure their customers are completely satisfied, Crabapple Hair Studio manages to keep its prices very reasonable considering its proximity to downtown Roswell. A basic women's wash and cut is $25, and the salon often runs Groupons so that first-time customers can get their cut for free. That's an incredible deal! The salon itself has four chairs and a small waiting area. The floor is hardwood and I've never seen the stylists' work stations looking less than immaculate. All the clients I see leaving look terrific and have satisfied smiles on their faces to boot. I've seen Heather multiple times now for both cuts and color, and I have never left unhappy. She takes special care to explain the process, making sure that I know what she's doing so I can easily recreate looks at home. Not only that, she is a genuinely sweet person who makes you feel comfortable. When you're in her chair, it's like you're visiting with a friend capable of making you look and feel fabulous. I called on Friday and they were able to get us in the following day. We were early when we arrived, so we walked into the Ace Hardware to look around for few minutes. A young man that works at the Ace Hardware asked if he could help us with anything, I mentioned we were looking around until it was our time to go get a haircut next door. He was so friendly and said "oh! Emily cuts my hair and she does a great job. They are all so nice over there". We went over to the salon and was still a little early. The receptionist was so nice and welcoming. Emily came right up, beautiful with such a lovely vibe and said hi and took me on back. She was so nice and professional, asked me all the details on what I was looking for for my hair. She gave me great recommendations and made me feel so glad to be there. Most women know that salons can be so hit or miss, with unwelcoming vibes.....not this place. Steven finished up with his client and was so nice to my 11 year old daughter who was his next client. She has very curly hair and he did the same as Emily, asked all the questions, gave great recommendations and was so friendly and wonderful with my daughter. I'm not sure what the conditioning treatment was that they put on our hair but that sh is amazing, it's the day after as I'm writing this and my hair is still so smooth and fells so healthy. I've been in Atlanta for 20 years and I've always drove back home to NC to get my hair done because I never really found the right fit in a salon in the metro area. I no longer travel to do that now. I really enjoyed my conversation with Emily and how much effort she put in to not just making me happy with my hair but giving us an overall great experience in the salon. She is young and vibrant and has such a fantastic outlook on life, and had the professionalism and skills of a well seasoned stylist. My daughter has talked non stop about how much she loves her hair and what a great time she had. Steven and Emily really made our day. While we were finishing up another client was brought in by her husband and daughter. She was a more mature woman in a wheel chair who had recently had a stroke. Her daughter told me she was a client before the stroke and how thankful she was that the stylist was still so wonderful with her mother and took care of her hair. As I waited for my daughter to finish up I sat and watched the other clients leave so satisfied and happy with their hair and also how the stylists interacted with them and were also proud of their work. If you're looking for a great vibe, in a beautiful clean salon with smiling people making great effort to provide good services to their clients, this is your place. It's an hour away from our home and I'll be driving it often to be repeat customers. Emily and Steven, if you read this, we really enjoyed meeting you both yesterday and are so pleased with our hair. Thank you so much.
