(This is about the indiana ,pa shop ) i'm a 63 year old man who never had a haircut as bad as this. Her main cutting tool was thinning shears. I have long spots, short spots etc all over. They said that they have experience with children's haircut, however, when I went with my son the stylist was really rough with kidsAll kids are somewhat scared of haircuts but the way she was jabbing my kid with the comb made him scream in pain. *only got one star cause I can NOT give zero stars I have been a long standing customer of Great Clips for well over 10yrs. On June 9th, 2020 i went to the Pittsburgh Mills location in Tarentum PA. My kids were in desperate need of hair cuts, since we were locked up for 3 months because of covid-19. I was told my 4 yr old could get her hair cut but my 2yr old was NOT allowed. I asked why? I was told because of everything going on he could not have his hair cut. I said for how long, his hair needs cut. She said it is store policy and she doesn't know, but we can cut the 4yr olds hair. I said no, no I'm leaving, nevermind and walked out. I put both kids BACK in their car seats. I found another place down the road that didn't discriminate on my 2yr old. Both kids went in...AT THE SAME TIME, BOTH PARENTS, NO MASKS REQUIRED FOR THE KIDS! I have a new hair place now. Thanks Great Clips! read more

Middle aged guy that but my hair recently did a horrible job. Didn't do any thing close to what i asked for and was all over the place the entire time. Hard to tell he left the top way too long even after i told him to go back and cut more but he did, and cut the sides and back way too short. I took my son for a haircut at Great clips on Centre Avenue, PITTSBURGH. The "specialist" who cut his hair was the most unprofessional, incapable, and unfriendly hair stylist we have ever seen. My son and my husband go there a few times a year and for the last several years. But we have never had an awful experience as this, as the staff is usually very nice and friendly. So today, the lady was done cutting his hair is 2 mins. Took the biggest blade and went around the back and sides. The top and the front was done with a scissor as my son wanted it a little longer than the rest. She did it but it was all uneven, looked as before his haircut and not blended. I told her to make some adjustments as well but she did it in a few seconds. Once done she did not even clean up his face as it was full of hair and his clothing had hair all over. We paid the full amount. However, my son was extremely upset and so we went to the Great clips on Browns Hill Road right away. They were able to see on their system that he had a hair cut just a while ago. They were extremely happy to make the adjustments and blend it all around. They did a fantastic job despite being challenging as the hair was cut just half an hour back. Thanks for the professionalism and greatness- Great clips at Brown's Hill Road. I didn't have an appointment but they took me after a short wait. When I got in the chair the stylist asked me how I wanted my hair cut and then paid zero attention to what I said -- actually turned away from me to fuss with the things on the counter while I was giving my requests. Followed my repeated instructions not at all. At the register didn't give me a receipt so I could give feedback to the firm. Aside from taking me right away without a prior appointment, it was a rotten experience. Poor service like this makes me long for the days of the pandemic lock-down. read more

I received by far the WORST haircut I have ever gotten in my life. We got some coupons from their grand opening, but a $6 haircut just isn't worth it if you get scalped. I really like Great Clips at this location. I have been going for over 1 year. The stylists are very friendly. They have all been cutting hair for many years so they are experienced. The service is fast. Yeah they chat... but they get me in and out fast without any pretense to be doing brain surgery. Pricing is very good. Out of convenience I have been going here for 3 years. It's hit or miss. I went there 12/7/3019 and Alyssa cut my hair. She actually listened to what I wanted done and my hair looks great. I can't say enough about her. The other stylist that worked in here for the past year wasn't great. She cut my hair twice and it was horrible. I'm so happy she doesn't work here anymore. Absolutely the worst haircut I have ever received. I asked for a trim with layers, bangs, and my undercut to be reshaved. The layers on my hair are uneven and way too straight cut. I asked for my bangs to hit right below the brow, and instead got them above the brow and extremely uneven. It looked diagonal. My undercut was also extremely uneven and looked absolutely horrible. So its convenient, and quick and cheap. Most of the time you can find someone to give you a decent hair cut and take some time doing it. They have had one or two people who work there that are clueless (razor doesn't work well, doesn't cut the hair even, etc.) and hopefully they will be weeded out because you shouldn't have to wait a long time for that one person to be free. I will probably keep going because I lost my long time barber and I don't need much cutting for having not much hair! But I would go there as a guy for sure if you don't need much of a style but value low price short hair cut. My kid gets her hair cut there -- she got one of the terrible stylist and it was butchered so we'll avoid that person.
