    Spotless waiting area
    Julie S.

I was very impressed with this new Great Clips that recently opened at 122nd and North May Ave, nextdoor to Scooter's Coffee. They are currently offering an $8 hair cut as a grand opening promo. It was very cool to be able to see all the live wait times at all the Great Clips in the area, and then to sign up online. When I signed up, there was no wait. When I got there about five minutes later, the wait was 27 minutes, as 6 people had signed up in that five minutes! This is an excellent feature for those who (like me) don't want to sit around in a busy waiting area any longer than we have to. My kids, who go back to school today for the first time since mid-November) both got haircuts (a true big boy haircut for my son and a trim for my daughter). My husband is very loyal to the woman who cuts his hair in Edmond, but since we were already there and it was just so easy and affordable, he went ahead and got a cut. All are happy with their haircuts, and since they all basically got their hair cut at the same time, we were in and out in about 25 minutes. I have to say, as much as I'm not a person to spend much money at a chain, I do think I would do this again, for ease of use, and for the amount of money and thoughtfulness they've put into letting people get in line virtually. During a pandemic, these things count for a lot to paranoid mommies and daddies.

Louisa was wonderful. As a woman experiencing hair loss, her professionalism was a welcomed ease to my anxiety. I left feeling brave.

I had found Fitzgerald's in a yelp search and figured we'd be in good shape based on several reviews. Immediately upon entering, one of the guys greeted us and asked how they could help us. We were in town for a funeral and needed some help getting into presentable shape. I had about a week of road trip overgrowth on my usually bald head and trimmed beard. My dad had a couple weeks of overgrowth in his beard and patchy spots on his head. (He has trouble using his head shaver as an 80 year old Parkinson's patient) Baba took care of us, shaving my dad's face and head, then lining up my patchy beard with a nice fade to hide the bald spots. I'm really happy with the results and will certainly return if I find myself in OKC in the future. Music was good, maybe loud for some but I enjoyed it. We had a good conversation while Baba worked. My dad and I both enjoyed our visit. He had been missing his barber from back home and I hadn't been in a barber's chair since high school. I'm inspired to find us a barber shop when we get back to San Diego. I can't line myself up like this, and I never knew what I was missing with barber shops. Thanks Baba!

Price was 40 dollars for a 15 min cut. Place is nice clean music lil loud but i get it.read more

Stopped by for a walk-in…read more At least they have a private parking lot for the strip mall. It's antique inside. Smells of an old musty place inside the shop. Old school barber chairs. A bit worse of wear. Classic cut for $30. Hot shave for $30. It's cash only, cash app or Venmo. One staffer would accept cash. Which is it? My husband wanted a cut only since it's cash only and a shave would be an additional $30. My husband knows if his hair is long and he disentangles get his hair cut before a trip, he gets hair cut during our trip by a new stranger. Sometimes it's a good and sometimes it's not such a good cut. It's all a toss of the dice. They give you complimentary beer or water during your visit. Only two staffers working today and both were busy when we walked in. One finished and took another client. The other one that was to cut my husband seems more detailed. We ended up waiting over 45 minutes to get my husband's hair cut. Guy was already in the chair, not surprising. Just a longer wait than I expected. So much for a quick walk-in. The barber took over 50 minutes to cut my husband's hair as well. Our window to get to the museum before they close at 5PM is closing with every passing minute. Looks like we have to change our museum plans since we would have less than an hour and 20 minutes to visit after this visit. Felt a bit annoyed since our afternoon plans got all messed up with this long haircut today. Probably best to come in for a walk-in about 2 hours ahead of having to depart to get a cut with the male barber. All told we were here for over an hour and 40 minutes. It feels like we both should have been able to get our haircut in the same period. The barber (Tom?) is meticulous and tends to take long to complete his cuts. The cut looks good, it just takes a while is all. Has OCD and repeated trimming over and over again. Be prepared if you get a cut from the barber with the red hair and cap with a bear and longer hair. Nice enough guy. We just weren't planning on being here for an hour and 40 minutes for a hair cut.

A Tragic Review of Weldon Jack…read more O wretched day, whose sun rose fair yet set in sorrow. I entered yonder barbershop with hope as bright as morning dew, but left shorn like a lamb in winter's cruel embrace. The barber -- alas, would that I could call him craftsman -- did seize his trembling shears with all the grace of a drunken jester juggling knives. "Fear not," quoth he, "I know my art." Yet never have I heard a fouler lie. With each uneven snip, a piece of my dignity fell to the floor. My locks, once proud as a lion's mane, were hacked and scattered like soldiers on a battlefield. He carved upon my head a shape unknown to nature, a tragic geometry that mocked both God and man. When at last he spun the mirror toward me, I beheld a visage so mangled, so bereft of symmetry, that I near cried, "O barber, thou hast murdered beauty itself!" But he, villain bold, simply nodded as though pleased with the ruin he had wrought. I departed in silent grief, my reflection haunting me like Banquo's ghost. Let all who value their hair beware this den of sorrow. For here, trims become tragedies, and every customer leaves a player in some cruel comedy of errors. One star, for even in tragedy the heavens must grant a single light
