After my appointment, my hair was still a little darker than what we were aiming for. Amy was so encouraging to rebook free of charge to help lighten things up more. I went back two weeks later and she took so much time and detail to make sure things were just right. She was so sweet about the whole process and I could not be more in love with the final outcome!! Stylist was friendly enough took their time and I was there four hours and still have severe black roots in front of my hair. She bleached me white blonde and no dimension like I asked for. Billed over two hundred upon leaving called next day apparently they took 100 off AFTER my voicemail. It will cost a lot more than that to fix this fake looking hair. The salon is not very aesthetically pleasing to be in either. Very drab with no natural light.

I'd asked several pre appointment questions over the course of several days, and they were understanding as well as informative. They even made accommodations upon request because I was worried about my brittle hair. They checked in with me during the process to ensure satisfaction, were professional and courteous, and got me in and out of that chair before I could even finish my packed lunch! Will definitely be returning to beyond hair and braids for my next style. I picked passion twists, and they were able to provide the hair for this style. I was skeptical at first since I've had bad experiences with relying on stylists for quality products that wouldn't leave my scalp or neck irritated or break me out - but they picked great hair AND products. Not only that, their work was neat, consistent, and attentive to detail. I've got zero hair regrets rn. Been taking selfies since I left. The booking user-interface was intuitive, and I enjoyed the automated text and email updates. He has magnificently handled my hair from it being midway down my back to it's current slightly shorter than pixie. All the steps in between on my hair adventure Kyle has kept me looking beautifully sexy. I alway leave the chair satisfied and sure that he's topped himself yet again with the cut, style, and functionality. And twice I received a voice mail back from Instinct, coaxing me to book with someone else at the salon. Huh? Why? I rarely see hair color I love...but when I do, I always ask who the colorist was. In this case, it was Jenn. The first request was met with "Jenn is all booked up for the holidays, you can book with x, y or z." Because it was a busy time of year I understood. But the same thing happened 9 months later. If Jenn is not taking new customers, just say so. And answer your phone. Still looking for a colorist but at Instinct? After randomly discovering my current hair stylist Krista at a different salon in High Point, I've been following her around ever since as she has moved salons a few times. It seems that she has finally found her home in Indi Root Hair Co! I must say I'm a big fan of the new location! It's very clean, bright and decorated in such a cute way. Although it's a little smaller than their last location, I appreciate that I don't have to go up and down creaky stairs to get my hair washed. Krista is super personable and easy to work with. I'm a bad client because I never put much thought into what I would like done with my hair ahead of time; however, Krista always helps guide me towards something that I end up loving! Most recently I decided to tone my hair to a darker shade for the winter. Krista helped me find a color that she thought would compliment my skin tone well, and I think she did a great job! I definitely received tons of compliments! In addition she trimmed up my ends and gave me some nice face framing strands in the front. I would also like to give an honorable mention to Krista's magic fingers! She gives a great scalp massage if you do a wash with your cut. Krista also offers yummy beverages to enjoy while you get your services done. She convinced me to try one of her chai latte K-cups which was good and seasonally appropriate. I only drank about half because I had a late appointment at 6pm and didn't want to be up all night. With a cut, color, wash and blow dry it only cost $160, which I find to be pretty reasonable.
