I don't cause scenes in a place of business; instead I turn to these media. Cherice did a disservice to me and my hair IMO. My previous hair stylist placed dark black streaks to contrast the white that was growing over the streaks. Instead, CS made 90% of my hair length so dark that I felt I had to cut my hair length bcs it would take so much time and processing to lighten; adding more damage; something I try to avoid. CS IMO tried to not take any responsibility for the result; I study body language. This was telling me she had nothing to offer; IMO she left it to me to decide she was no longer there to help me, she offered very little. My hair transition took a horrible turn. This took me almost 2 years to grow now its shoulder length no where near my desired result; I lost 2 years. Disappointed is a MAJOR understatement. I spent almost $300 on 2 visits. I will accept some responsibility, but I CANNOT SEE THE BACK OF MY hair. isn't that what we pay them to do, to be our eyes? Unbelievable is all I can say without going. Karen. I would like at least 50% of my money back, that won't happen. I'm not going back. Period. "

I see Lizzie for all of my hair needs and she's awesome. She always listens to what I want. She first consults with you about what you're looking to have done, and she touches your hair and checks it out before taking you to get shampoo'd. There have been times when I came in wanting to try a certain style and she will explain what I will need to do to maintain it, and after talking about it I decide I don't want to hassle with it. She won't just give you a cut without going through styling and maintenance first like a lot of stylists would. I appreciate her honesty, and have always been very happy with what she does. Her prices are unbelievably low for her talent level. In fact, with her price being so affordable, I would get my hair cut every 10 weeks or so. I have now moved to Arizona and haven't found anyone I like nearly as much, so I'm flying back to Illinois to have her cut my hair! I definitely recommend Lizzie at Special Effects.
