Great Clips - Obviously, not a professional trim! This is not acceptable. - Hair Salons Near Me - Fort Myers, Florida

Just relocated here from Southeast Florida and desperately needed a haircut. Never had GREAT luck at Great Clips in the past, but I figured I give them another shot... Well definitely shouldn't have done that because what I was left with was the worst skin fade I've ever had in my life to say the least. If you're a barber and are not good at doing fades just say it upfront don't pretend like you can do a fade, but then fall short... Now I have to go to a real barber pay another $30 to fix what y'all messed up! 10/10 this place NEEDS to go out of business!! Not a good vibe at all. read more

Great place to get a haircut. I've had cuts from three different people and they are all good. My last from Kwame I believe his name was, was my best cut yet. Definitely coming back. Friendly people here. read more

Bruce.. what an amazing and kind soul. He's cut my hair a few times now and does the absolute best work I've ever seen. He's incredibly caring and ensures you're always happy and comfortable. I don't typically write reviews for places but I want everyone that comes to this location to know that Bruce is awesome. I'd like to add that all the staff there is very kind and good at their profession, I just wanted to put a spotlight on Bruce who honestly made my day with his kindness. read more

We were turned away by another salon in the Forum for two walk-in girls cuts. Great Clips took us in without hesitation. Two different stylists for two heads of hair. We showed them what we wanted, and they both delivered, spot-on. We were called back for evaluation and clarification: "How's this? Or, I can also do THIS." That was a nice touch. We noticed when we got home, that there was some redness and irritation on the neck of one of the kids. A little alcohol cleared that up. We were in and out quickly, with great cuts, at a really reasonable price. Everyone thinks the haircuts are super cute, which they are. We'll be back! read more

We just moved to Fort Myers in July (2018) by October I needed a haircut. Having made several trips to my local Home Depot I had seen this Great Clips in the same commercial area. I have gone to the Great Clips and their #1 competitor back in Michigan and am familiar and comfortable with their product. Not this isn't a very clean and pleasant place to get a haircut, as a guy, ambiance and fun are not what I'm looking for when I need a haircut, a good haircut is the goal. So, I walked in without an appointment and "Lucked Out" to be greeted by Pedro. He asked how I wanted my wavy and thinning hair cut. Like every other time before I answered the barber's question. The difference this time was in 10-12 minutes Pedro gave me the best haircut I've received in years. He's working 1:00-7:00PM tomorrow and I'll be there. I highly recommend Pedro and this Great Clips in Fort Myers. Tom P. read more

Second time I've been here while in Fort Myers for work. Rebecca cut my hair both times and did a great job. I've paid for more expensive hair cuts and been much less satisfied. Keep rocking! read more

I had a great visit today. Stacey was wonderful and helpful. Great advice, I'll see her again. Thank you.

Haircut almost perfect, didn't notice until it dried and now I'd say it's at least acceptable. Also, they weren't able to get my exact cut from the online system as they were down for the day. I think that was a part of it. It's a newer location, so hopefully they trim the loose threads soon enough. read more

First time at this location and it was a total bust. The staff member we got was rude. Not only to me, but to someone another stylist was already helping. Our stylist literally told me "she doesn't do" what I wanted for my sons hair. It was the first time in my life I wouldn't tip. I'm usually a very generous tipper. And the skin around my kids ear was crazy red and sore afterward. That was a first as well. read more

I had an awful experience here and will definitely never be returning to any Great Clips establishment again after. After waiting 45 minutes without being helped when I was then only customer in the store my barber Emily lead me to a chair after taking a very long break. She was rude and judgy saying I smelled like smoke and purposefully gave me a haircut style that she knew I didn't want because she said it would look better, taking off much more hair than I had asked for. read more

I have been to this location a couple of times. They do a passable job on my hair. However, since I am not a regular customer I do not want to take up space on my phone with yet another app. This salon has a policy where people who register on line get preferential place in line. The other day while I was standing at the the counter waiting for the , receptionist to stop sweeping the floor and take notice of me, someone was signing in on line. He was given my place in line, even though I had been standing there before he began to sign in. I commented to the receptionist, (when she finally noticed me) and told her I thought that I should be placed in front of this person because I was there and waiting. She refused to do so, saying that people who check in on line get preference. She would not understand that this customer had not yet checked in when I was waiting to do so. If I weren't already waiting for awhile I would have left. The receptionist saw me and knew I was there because she greeted me. I felt that she had allowed and condoned someone skipping the line and cutting in front of me. read more

I went in with a pic of a haircut I wanted. I was BUTCHERED. Specifically I told her a number of times "Not so short that I look like a guy". Well, it's worse. I look like a cross between a 13-year-old punk rocker and Kim Jung Un. My hair, what little she left on my head, sticks straight out all over the place like a scalped porcupine. Thank goodness it was dark when I left because I felt so embarrassed and humiliated with this military-like chopped job. It's so bad I'm having to order a wig just to go out in public without getting stares! I was in tears all night and even the next day, my stress level is through the roof, and it's hard to sleep at night. Feel like taking down the bathroom mirror because I can't stand even glancing at myself in the mirror on passing. The woman who did this said, (paraphrasing), "I was just cutting until I got the waves out". Hello! My hair has a strong natural body with slight (but strong) waves, a fact I told her when I sat at her chair - any real hairdresser could have seen that anyway. You simply don't 'cut hair until the waves are gone'!!!! What an idiot! Never have I had such a bad haircut in all my 73 years. This place must hire those who can't get jobs elsewhere or who flunked haircutting 101. Between a cheap wig - with overnight shipping - a sunhat, and some gel to try to keep these errant stubbles in line, it's going to end up costing me close to $100. And then there's the stress, tears, and humiliation /embarrassment and mental anguish that I am going through. With how short she basically shaved me down, I'm guessing it's going to be 2-3 months until it's grown out enough not to look like shaved porcupine! read more

If I could give a zero star review I absolutely would. I transferred my children from a Washington state great clips and was greatly disappointed with the first haircut (mind you they put the exact specifications into the computer to repeat the same style). I came in today after checking in online (30 min after when the wait was 28 minutes), and after 35 minutes, was still not even spoken to. Nobody asked if we had been helped even. Finally, when other customers left, two stylists walked away, still ignoring us, while another stylist immediately helped another customer further down the list. Absolutely ridiculous. I walked out before I was disappointed AND angry. Never ever ever again. read more
