I wasn't going to name drop but after seeing another negative review about Isabel I have to. Long story short, at this kind of place, unless you specifically see one person you like, it's so up in the air as to the quality of haircut you're going to get. The last time I went to this location, the haircut was great. This time was horrible. I told Isabel that I wanted about an inch cut off, long layers and still be able to put my hair up. Well she just started hacking away. She said she was doing the layers first. Ok I thought. Then she just keeps cutting. Not sectioning my hair at all at she went. I don't have to be a hair stylist to know that's how you're supposed to cut hair. I can also tell she's barely even cutting the inch off that I wanted and just doing the layers. I tell her there's barely anything cut (other than the layers) so she keeps cutting. Well she went nuts with the layers so now the front half of my hair is in shortish layers that I didn't want and also don't go back into a ponytail like I requested. She even went to cut off more from the front and told her to stop because it was already short enough! And despite all that....the back is completely uneven. It's also hard to stop someone mid cut to tell them you don't like it because she's working fast and I have hair in my face so I can't see until it's done. I just wanted to get the heck out of there. Thankfully most of my hair still goes up because that's how I will be wearing it until this mess grows out. EDIT: I called the next day and Teresa the manager said I could come in and get it fixed. She was very nice, apologetic and made it much better. read more

I totally agree with David Z.. (see below) We took our 3 year old grandson to get what was supposed to be a haircut. He was the victim to more of a scalping than a haircut. Crazy Horse would have been proud. Isabel did a horrible job with a normal, regular, boys haircut. She had it cut in uneven lengths and just chopped to bits. I could have done better if I put a bowl on his head. At least it would have been the same length all around. Looking like a friar would be a better look than how he looks now. Awful job. My kids and I had bad experience at this location with Arielle. The biggest problem I experienced was her attitude. She's very cold and negative. All around bad vibes and negative energy bouncing off this chick. She cut my child's hair shorter than I had asked because it's hard to communicate with her due to her defensive and rude demeanor. It took all but 5 minutes for the haircut and she did not blow dry the dripping wet hair. My other child was getting a haircut at the same time from another stylist and she took more time and at least blow dried her wet hair. When it came time to check out, the other stylist experienced an issue with the receipt and Arielle yanked the receipt from her hand and pierced it through the skewer thing you put all receipts on. The passive aggressiveness clearly shows. Even my kids asked me why she was mean. Pretty embarrassing for her that even a child was able to spot bad manners. Only reason I kept my mouth shut was bc they were with me. Nonetheless, we will NOT be returning. read more

LEAVE! GO ACROSS THE STREET TO BIZY CUT !! Rude!!! I called twice asking if they would give my child as haircut. They said as long as I came in before 6. I get it, it's Saturday and they wanted out. I came in at 5:58 (called at 5:51), all of the girls were so rude and icing me out until I left. Both of my small children said, "they were so mean mommy". My smallest daughter was already scared to get her hair cut and these awful talentless great clip scissor happy twits made her even more scared. Can't remember the last time my small children even picked up on someone being "rude", that's how obnoxious it was. I feel bad for these businesses during covid, but this is now the second time in a row I bring my two sons with two stylists free and instead of taking them at the same time they take someone who checks in after us. So 3 people have to wait instead of the one person who should because they checked in later. When I asked nicely if I missed something as to why that happened, the stylist apologized and said she screwed up. Even though this was the second time, I could move on. Then when I paid for the two haircuts, one with a coupon and one with a prepaid card, the lady tried to charge me for both. Even though she acknowledged it was a prepaid card, she kept arguing I needed to pay for it again. It took 3 explanations before it clicked for her. This was the same lady that couldn't figure out how to ring me up for the prepaid cards in the first place 3 months ago. I was in there about two weeks ago and received the worst hair cut of my life. I tried to make it work for a few days before I went back in for someone else to fix it.. the girl tried the best she could but ultimately said.."I'm sorry, you have to just let it grow.." I'm usually not petty about my hair.. but the front is so short that it doesn't fit in a pony tail and it's so choppy that it doesn't blend with with rest of my hair. I'm so aggravated. I will never go there for a hair cut ever again. Unless I'm looking to style my hair with a mullet. read more

A cheap haircut is not always a cheap haircut and this Great Clips makes this statement ring true. They make taming my cowlick as easy as licking a cow. What's really nice is the online checkin. I'm a huge fan. I did this today and didn't have a wait at all (of course --- there was only one person in a seat and a couple stylists available, so that helped also!!!) They always keep notes so you don't have to describe what you'd like done every time, even if you have someone new cutting your hair. This was the case today since my regular person was the one with the occupied chair. The lady who cut my hair had done it on previous occasion and remembered me. During my follicle-ular procedure the main topic was football (one of my favorite subjects ------ did she know I was writing a review later????!!) As we talked about Alabama's domination over Notre Dame, the firing of Lovie Smith, and how one of her favorite teams (Baltimore Ravens) beat one of my favorite teams (Indianapolis Colts) she did a pretty good job at making me look like a normal human being again (NOT an easy feat!!) Overall the haircut was pretty good ---- I'd give it a 8 out of 10. The price was cheap and the chat was engaging. Great job over all. I'll be back. I have no complaints about my stylist- Austin. She did a quick job and was friendly. I was in and out in a timely manner for a decent price. I did have an issue with another stylist there. I did not catch the stylists name but she worked to the left of Austin. The other stylist was cutting a young man's hair. When he left the stylist complained of her boyfriend wanting her to make more money but yet he wants her to wear turtle necks to work. I was appalled at this. A hair salon is not a bar or club. It is a family establishment. If this stylist feels she needs to wear sexy clothes at a hair salon to earn more money then she is in the wrong field. I could not believe this girl said this out loud. And there were kids in there. What is she role modeling? It was unprofessional and if this was my salon I would be ashamed at having people like her work there. Truly disgusted. read more

I am a very picky person and found the one true person (Adrianna) who for 12 of those years cuts my hair the way I want it! She has a great knack for also helping people pick styles for themselves that look good. She is a great asset to that store. When I stopped working, I decided I needed to pay less; I wear my hair very short and, because it grows like a weed, I need a cut every 3 - 4 weeks. After shopping around at some of the more reasonably-priced salons, I got lucky enough to meet Teresa, who is the manager of this Great Clips location. Teresa is FANTASTIC - her technique and expertise is equal to or better than that of stylists who charge multiple times what you pay here. I have been going to Teresa for months now, and my hair is perfect every time. Teresa is detail-oriented and never rushes. I get COUNTLESS compliments on my hair, and no one can believe it when I say I go to Great Clips. In addition, Teresa is the sweetest person ever - I love going in for my cut so that we can chat and catch up. She makes this salon a pleasant place - you feel like family when you go in. Good for a quick hack job of a haircut combined with a very disconnected staff whose silence let's you know they have no interest in you or their job.
