I left there with yellowish hair, and still some red streaks. Time for a new salon. Never did get my platinum blonde. The stylist cut off six inches. I didn't catch it in the salon because I trust her, and she finished my hair in curls, so I assumed it looked shorter because of the styling. I later checked my hair length after the curls had fallen, then measuring to where my hair reached previously and found a six inch difference. A trim is one to two inches. My hair is also very healthy, so there were no damaged ends that would have justified removing that much. It will take me over a year to grow this back. I won't be returning.

I booked an online haircut for "short" (there is no description for what short, medium, or long…read moremeans, I had slightly below shoulder length hair and wanted it cut to be above two inches). When I got to the shop I was immediately asked who I booked with and what it was for. They did not ask my name to look me up. When I said Michael they asked me to take a seat. Two ladies and Michael then gathered around the front desk 3 feet away from my chair and offered to take the appointment for him. He asked the ladies why it was booked for him and they said it was online. He sighed rolled his eyes and said "No I will do it". He told me it would be a medium cut as short was around the ear length. Once I got in the chair he was friendly. But he did not listen to me about what I wanted my cut to be and he kept correcting me on my terms for hair-cutting tools and how I did not want it done. He did it the way he wanted and my hair did what I told him it would (I have thick, fine, straight-as-a-board hair) it fizzed out and looked like someone chopped at it instead of doing layers or thinning underneath where it is not visible. That is the only way to give me volume and take the weight off without giving weird frizz lines in my hair. Then they charged me for a long haircut without saying why I was charged for long and not medium. It took 27 mins to do my hair and I have never been so ready to be out of a salon. Do not go here if you are looking for a cut. Do not book with Michael if you want the price you were originally told and do not come if you don't want them to comment on your coloring and try to upsell you to fix it.

Emily MacKenzie does a great job with cut and color. One of her colleagues told me this is the only full-service salon in Athens. My mom comes here to dye her eyelashes, they also do mani/pedi nail stuff, massages, waxing, etc. During the times of waiting for the coloring to set in, they let me sip on a strawberry margarita they made in the other room. Sometimes they offer wine, but they were out of that the afternoon when I went. I would love to return here again for more, since they weren't as crowded and busy as Osmosis, maybe because they are a little more off of a main road in Athens.
