I usually get my hair done by the same girl I've gone to forever but I've been busy and my hair was a mess and I really needed a quick trim before heading out of town. The girl who cut my hair did a nice job, fixed all my uneven ends and fixed up the layers around my face. Overall I'm pleasantly surprised at how well she did for such a cheap price. read more

Gone there about 3 or 4 time now. All but this most recent was for a very basic trim. This list time I wanted my current haircut redone, but I had more layers. I came out with basically two very blunt lengths of hair, which I couldn't tell when my hair was wet. The girl doing it had SUPER curly hair- perhaps she doesn't know how to cut normal wavy hair? Going to try and wait it out a few weeks and see if it gets any better, but I'm embarrassed to have my hair down now... Went here this time to save a little money, but now I'm likely going to end up with a super expensive haircut trying to get this current one dealt with. read more

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with getting my hair cut. Not the type of person to write reviews what so ever, but this needs to be addressed. I went in for a fade and instead of telling me he doesn't know how to do it he begins. First off, he digs his clippers into my neck and cuts me; I didn't mind, people make mistakes. Secondly the fade turns into this mushroom hairdo that he can't fix so he asks the other lady to help. She helps but he does the same and cuts it into a noticeable line. I then tell him I will wait for his coworker so she could finish my hair. His response was very unprofessional and is not what you expect from a customer service standpoint. He said, "well I have to fix it anyways" I said again, no it's ok, I can wait for her, it's no problem" he then grabs the apron from my body and attempts to throw it and misses the trash can. It was as if he was having a little tantrum. He doesn't say a word to me and tells his coworker," he's yours, I switched him over". Long story short, the place needs improvement on customer service. I understand that a haircut takes practice and I'm more than willing to accommodate that practice but only when the right attitude is involved. The lady tried to help and was overall nice. Definitely won't be in there again though. Needs at least a little more knowledgeable staff in the hair cutting aspect and fades. read more

I tried Great Clips because my usual barber was closed for the weekend and my hair was getting out of control. Bad idea. My wife burst out laughing when she saw the cut I came home with. The stylist put little time and no care into my hair. I watched her rush through it and assumed she was just starting the process. I was shocked when she asked what I thought as she began to wheel the chair around. What? We were five minutes in max and I could see, looking in the mirror, that there were uneven parts all over my head. I asked her if she could go over things again, that I saw uneven spots. She sat me back down and spent about a minute clipping here, buzzing there. Nothing systematic. Then she sent me on my way. I probably should have protested much more, but I figured I just wanted to get out of there and never go back. Reading my review you might assume that the place was packed and she had loads of other customers to get to, or maybe I wandered in just before closing time and was keeping her late. Nope. It was the middle of the day and not another soul in the place other than two other stylists dawdling at their chairs. read more

Warning all men! My husband went in this place and asked for a simple finger length on top and fade to a 1 on the bottom. He left with hair all over him, the fade wasn't the worst but that's because his hair on the top was a 2 at the most. She did not know what she was doing. I went in for a trim and came out a week later with a lot less hair! What was meant to be a simple trim turned into a major shearing as it took three different stylist and three different occasions to "fix" my poorly cut hair. While all three ladies were kind and the last two more than willing to "fix" the previous bad haircuts, I left entirely disappointed and dissatisfied with the overall results each and every time. What happened? The first haircut was cut lopsided, with layers on one side and the other left long. The second time I asked to have it balanced and ended up with the other side cut in deep layers and a long piece of hair opposite. By the time I went in the third and final time my hair had to be cut off in short layers just to balance out the effects of the previous two stylists. Even the stylist seemed disappointed to be cutting off all my hair to fix the mistakes of the previous two stylists. I think what bothers me even more is that the manager was in the salon on the third day and didn't seem terribly concerned about the situation, but rather avoided talking to me at all. In the end, I should have gone to my more expensive stylist rather than waste $6.99 on such a horrible haircut. Yes, Great Clips honors its policy of free fixes to haircuts, but there's no fixing three bad haircuts. read more
