Food was outstanding!! The seating in the dining area is limited, but a lot of their business appears to be takeout. My crew and I had General Tso, Honey Chicken, Chicken Lo Mein, and Hot and Spicy Chicken. There were absolutely no complaints. A couple of us agreed it was some of the better dishes we've had. The fried chicken for the Honey and Tso were super crispy which added to the delight. We also ordered some steamed dumplings, which were also excellent. Will be back when I'm back in Dothan! At one point in my life, I loved Chinese food. But after discovering that most buffets taste very similar, I became disenchanted with them and would only eat at one if necessary. Since most Chinese restaurants in Dothan are buffets, I would not eat Chinese at all in Dothan. But however, Great China has restored my fondness for Chinese as it is not a buffet. The downside is not being able to sample so many dishes. But the quality is so much better than at a buffet. Great China is located across from the Northside Wal-Mart in the shopping center as the Dollar Tree. There are 4 tables and you order at the counter. There is a drink station. My first go-to always in a Chinese restaurant is General Tso's combination that comes with fried rice and an eggroll. My General Tso's was hot and fresh; cooked just right; all tender; and the tangy, orangey sauce was just spicy enough. It was perfection on every mark for General Tso's. My rice was fried to golden perfection and the eggroll had the right crispiness to it. My only choice for Chinese in Dothan will be Great China. read more

When we didn't even really know him, and I will always remember this, he bought a blanket and bear for my daughter who had just been born. We haven't lived in Alabama since 2016, but to this day, I still daydream about Great China's pork fried rice! I secretly hope my husband will get stationed at Rucker again so I can just live in Dothan and enjoy this restaurant more often, as opposed to only 6 months of this fresh goodness.
