Sam made everything in the planning stages so much easier than we had experienced in the past. He listened to our needs and requests, had wonderful suggestions, and offered easy solutions for just about everything. As we threw curve balls at him in the days leading up to the event he took care of each one. His planning and preparation was outstanding. During the evening, when we added in some additions and changes, Sam handled them seamlessly--as if it was all part of the plan from the beginning! He kept up with the schedule and kept everyone engaged. The categories were terrific and the questions challenging but fair. Many of our guests praised the job that he was doing. All in all it was an incredible evening and Sam was a big part of it. We plan to ask him next year for his services at our 2018 Trivia Night!

I feel rather bad about dragging my feet for over 2 months to write this review for Ron, especially…read moresince my praise for him is to the ceiling. I hired Ron to bring his karaoke setup to a private residence in April for my best friend's bachelor party, and all I can say is that it was ONE OF THE GREATEST PARTIES I'VE EVER THROWN. Ron was expertly adept at gauging the vibe and energy of all the guys, and the party was electric from pretty much the first song choice. My buddy Matt - the (then) groom-to-be - has, for a long time, been ardently opposed to doing karaoke; and not so much because he didn't like to sing, but more because he's fairly self-conscious and thinks his singing abilities aren't up to snuff. Well, by the end of the night, Matt had but all lost his voice, having easily belted out 10-15 tunes with ever-increasing enthusiasm. Like some sort of musical clairvoyant, Ron seemingly had nearly every song we could think of loaded in the chamber and ready to go, and the blast had by all couldn't miss a beat. The sound and lights setup were absolutely top notch, and he had zero problems quickly hooking up the lyrics to display additionally on the big screen TV, too. His price for doing the private party was extremely reasonable, and if I still lived in St. Louis, I would NO DOUBT be having at least 3-4 By-Ron Entertainment "catered" parties a year. All told, I, and every single one of the guys in attendance, give Ron 5 stars PLUS for helping host what turned out to be one hell of a great night. I STRONGLY recommend having Ron turn your next party into one that won't be soon forgotten.

A wide range from water, soda, beer, wine, and canned mixed drinks. I think I saw somewhere that they had chips and cookies as well, but really you're only there for an hour, so a beer is good enough. We had the Francis Bacon. It's a meat pizza that's pretty good on top but the crust was so burnt it killed the pizza joy. At $18.50 this pizza shouldn't be charcoal around the crust. The small ranch salad was a delightful mix of romaine with bacon, heirloom tomatoes, Parmesan with some very thinly sliced onions and a delicious ranch dressing. This was the best $5.49 salad I've ever had and it was the redeeming dish for our meal. Overall the food was satisfactory in quantity but take ten points off for the burnt crust. We put in our order at the bar where we had to wait in line. Minus 10 points. The salad arrived quickly but the wait for the pizza was longer than expected. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and feels like the kind of neighborhood place where friends gather after work or meet up on a weekend afternoon. It has personality, and I genuinely wanted to love it. The cocktails got us off to a great start. My gin and tonic was clean, crisp, and well balanced with quality tonic. Ordering is done at the counter, and while the bartender simply called out, "Here you go!" when our drinks were ready, that's clearly just how they keep things moving without running all over the restaurant. We ordered three calzones and a cup of roasted red pepper soup. The soup was tasty, and the calzone dough was excellent--hot, chewy, yeasty, and exactly what a pizza crust should be. Here's where I think they missed an opportunity. The standard calzone comes with three fillings. Looking over all the delicious options, we wanted to pay extra to add a fourth ingredient, but were told that wasn't possible because of the size. As someone who was literally trying to spend more money, that was confusing. The bigger issue was that the fillings themselves were pretty sparse. The flavors were there, but the quantity just wasn't. The bread ended up carrying the meal instead of the ingredients inside. A more generously filled calzone would have completely changed the experience. When we finished, we all had the same reaction: "That was good." Unfortunately, none of us said, "We have to come back." That's the disappointing part because Gallery Pub has everything else going for it. The atmosphere is one of its greatest strengths, and it's the kind of place you want to root for. I just wish the food had been as memorable as the space itself. I hope they reconsider being a little more generous with the fillings and embrace customers who want to customize their orders. Sometimes it's the small things that turn a nice neighborhood pub into someone's favorite neighborhood pub.

This was my first time getting their pizza along with a beer and it was really tasty. Pretty good amount of seating and they had trivia on Tuesday at 7.
