Rented some bikes and bought a rack to transport them.

This friendly establishment is a Tallahassee gem. The service is quick and the selection of bikes is plenty for those who want to buy or rent. Our friends who were from out of town iep saying the bikes they rented were cheap and in amazing state. We had a lot of fun biking in tally's trails. I got some nice shades too!

    What they showed. 29in wheel

This experience was lacking in every aspect of trying to buy a bicycle. Because of a very poorly updated website, there was a terrible breakdown in communication. Expectations were set and only one out of the four requested bikes was ultimately shown to us. The men's bikes were not the colors I had chosen online and there was no attempt to see if the bike's fit either of us. The result left us feeling looked down upon, lied too, and a burden that they couldn't wait to be rid of. PS. I never did get to try a 27.5in wheel at this shop. Thankfully, I was generously accommodated at another bike shop and was able to purchase with confidence. Images for reference

When I tried to open the door a bike was in the way. Waited for someone to help move it, then when I walked in I was completely ignored so I waited until the worker yelled "why are you opening my door" at me. I was shocked and said "sorry, I wasn't sure if you would want me to bring my bike in to look at it when it's my turn." He then said "look around does it look like I can have another bike in here? What's wrong with your bike anyway?" I told him I was sorry (why? I don't know, I hadn't done anything wrong) and that the breaks were no longer working. He said, still in an awful tone, "well I can't get to it for weeks so good luck." I turned around and left trying not to cry. Do not go here--try the Great Bicycle Shop instead--they were excellent and so kind.

Unlike most north Florida trails, 85% of the trail is red clay rather than our usual sand. This gives a fast surface and decent traction. Berms have been built on most of the turns for greater handling. The hills are gently sloped so climbing is relatively easy and descents are long & fun. I've read reports of some riders reaching near 20mph (feels a lot faster than it sounds)! I really enjoy the proximity to the St Marks Rail Trail - great paved path for warm up before or cool down after your ride. It's not the most challenging ride - but it's scenic & enjoyable. Located in the Apalachicola National Forest, this is a fairly non-technical trail that is a great option for beginning mountain bikers, but it still offers a scenic and challenging ride for experienced bikers. The trail was recently revamped with red clay, making the terrain an easy ride for cyclists of all skill levels. A bench and water fountain await at the trail's entrance. The trail then proceeds through an upland pine forest that is home to endangered wildlife including fox squirrels, red-cockaded woodpeckers, gopher tortoises, and coyote. After about 25 minutes on the trail, a fork gives riders the choice of tackling the shorter "Pine Top Short Course" or the full "Munson Hills Trail." The Pine Top Short Course is a single track course marked by white slashes on the pine trees that runs approximately 2 miles, winding up and down past several small ponds and depressions before looping back to the main trail. The Munson Hills Trail, marked with blue slashes, is closer to 5 miles in total length and offers breathtaking scenery. In addition, there are 21 miles of connected trails crisscrossing each other within the Apalachicola National Forest, including the popular Twilight Trail.

This was the first rail-trail in Florida's system of greenways and trails to be paved, providing a scenic experience for running, walking, bicycling and skating. Horseback riding is available on the adjacent unpaved trail. Here, outdoor enthusiasts can hike a portion of the Florida National Scenic Trail, which joins the trail at U.S. 98 and continues south.
