They have been in business at this location a long time, maybe since the newer motel rooms of the old Bowman's Auto Court were converted into this strip shopping center. I had bought a property in December, and in January, I found myself repairing the house. As I was reviewing what needed repairs, I found out that I did not have a mailbox key. I called my realtor and she had no luck contacting the seller's realtor, so she suggested I go to the post office. I did just that and they told me to hire a locksmith. At any rate, in all this, my realtor recommended a locksmith to me, but they happened to be closed that day. If you know me, then you know I have no patience and that I want things done ASAP. Also, I hate leaving for tomorrow what can be done today. And well, the issue in all this is this happened on a day that some people have off as a holiday: Martin Luther King Jr. Day. So, here I was on a day I had off, hoping and praying to find someone open, so I could cross this off my to-do list and feel productive and I Googled and Yelped and found Jim. Jim was extremely responsive, reasonably priced, and he changed the lock on that mailbox so quickly that it left me speechless. His professionalism is unparalleled and I'm not the only one that noticed. Neighbors were already getting his card as they also have mailbox key issues, and here we are, months later, and I'm hoping they hired him. As for me, if I had not had someone else do my house keys, I'd have hired him. Apparently aside from those, and mailbox keys, he does car keys, and I had hoped to hire him to make a copy of my car key, as I only had one, but alas... I wound up getting a new car instead. Still, anything key-related, Jim is your go-to. Also, he speaks a bit of español, so that's a win in my book. This isn't Miami where I was born and raised, so finding someone who appreciates my background always brightens up my day.

After getting us in the house and realizing the current lock had had all the fun it could stand, the young man quoted a reasonable price for a new digital lock (considering the time of night and the lock being in stock). He had to go back to the shop to get the new digital lock and then had to drill a bigger hole for the lock which was an adventure itself. It was well after midnight before he finished up and I certainly felt like the $300+ for everything was a bargain considering. That lock has worked wonderfully for us for the years since until recently when it either needs a new battery (which I have been too lazy to deal with) or something more complicated. Until I find the gumption to assail getting a new battery and replacing it, we have been using the key that came with the lock and the wife got tired of not having a key for her so I dropped in to get another key made. Nice fellow greeted me when I entered and about 5 minutes and $3.75 later I was headed back to my car. I have watched a passel of YouTube videos particular to our lock so I know that if the new battery doesn't solve the lock problem then I shall be removing the lock and bringing it to them to fix. The wife can stand guard at the house while I am gone. Meanwhile we both have a key to lock and unlock our front door. If you need a locksmith I can wholeheartedly recommend these folks. I originally had American Alarm and Audio in Milton Florida install a security system in my new…read morehome in 2004. This company was bought out by Red wire based out of Tallahassee Florida. I updated the system for access to open the garage doors and front door, turn the system off etc. I am not sure when this took place. I have no problem with the system it's self. I reached out to them when i decided to put my home on the market, they did inform me that a 30 day notice need to be sent to turn off the system. I put my house on the market the Thursday before Thanksgiving, received an offer on Friday and closed on the 10 of December. I did not anticipate this quick of a turnaround, especially since it was the holiday's. They kept the 83.00 and said that I should get around 20.00 or so refund. That is just not right. Having a security system for 20 years and am penalized because i did not give them a complete 30 day notice. I will never recommend Red wire security system to anyone in the US. Especially in Tallahassee Florida, the accounting department of red wire only care about money, I had this terrible experience on the 16th of December.

We are new…read morebusiness owners and have been ignored by the Tallahassee branch and shifted to collections. for $372. 3 days after they sent us a notice of a bill we were contacted by a collection company threatening to sue us if we didn't pay $4500! (Yes we owed a balance and paid late but we paid it in full) We have not had a working system in months and last call a repair guy showed up and didn't resolve the "door sensor". Our alarm triggers during working hours and continues to trip every 10 min after it has been disarmed. We offer spa treatments and have been completely embarrassed when this happens and have had countless complaints from our clients as their services have been disrupted. We stopped using the system due to the faulty alarm and just due to the hassle of it. They are trying to sue us for the cost of service for the next 5 years. We paid our outstanding bill of $370 in full and are being harassed daily by their aggressive collector. For the record we have not received one call from them prior to this and only one final notice bill in the mail which was last week after they sent us to this collection company. If I treated a client like that I'd be out of business.
