Ardent Preschool and Daycare at Trace Crossings has been a solid choice for our family. The staff…read moreis professional, dependable, and clearly experienced. Teachers are attentive and focused on both academics and social-emotional development. Communication with parents is reliable and transparent. The facility is consistently clean, well-maintained, and organized. The program is structured, which has helped our child stay engaged and progress. For the quality of care, education, and consistency provided, Ardent offers strong value. You're not just paying for supervision, but for a safe, organized environment with intentional teaching. We would recommend Ardent to families looking for a dependable, high-quality preschool or daycare.

The staff is so friendly and they love our kids SO well. The director is always present and readily available. Their security measures keep my mind at ease throughout the day. My kids have only been there for 2 weeks and I can tell they love it. My toddler tells me she's ready for school in the mornings and comes home with new skills each day. And they don't leave the infants out! My baby is learning new things too- grabbing for bottle, feet, trying new sounds, etc. Thank you Ardent!

I can't say enough good things about Odyssey. Everyone is top notch including the teachers and…read moredirector. My daughter is very smart for her age (2.5) and we struggled at other daycares because they didn't want to accommodate her advanced learning needs. Odyssey is the perfect fit and she has learned so much there. I can tell the teachers actually care about her and she is always happy to see her little friends at school. The cameras are great as well so I can look in when I miss her. Highly recommend!

Always makes the child welcome. After the initial jitters and rash of ear infections and fevers my daughter adjusted and then thoroughly enjoyed going here. Most important thing is place is super clean and all the teachers we have had experience with are genuinely caring and affectionate towards our kiddo and communicative towards parents. Especially last 2 years (k3 and k4) were a blast. From the administration point of view, they are not defensive and open to dialogue and suggestions from parents. One of the times, we were struck at the center for overnight due to a snow situation in Birmingham. The way teachers and the director Ms Annie handled the situation was superb. I almost feel lucky to have discovered this center. I have to mention especially about the assistant director Miss Jennifer. I don't know how she remembers all the children by their names etc. :) she would always greet kids with their name and a big smile. Other than running the operations smoothly, she is understanding and supportive of all the situations that parents go through as we deal with job transfers etc. can't thank her for enough. I highly recommend this place.

I joined the J in August when I moved to Birmingham. It's so close to my home, which makes making…read moreit to the gym in the morning much more doable. The front desk staff are always so friendly - even early in the morning. I have enjoyed a variety of classes, such as spinning, body pump, grit, body flow, etc. The fitness instructors are encouraging and make the classes fun. I have met some really great people through the group exercise classes. The cardio equipment is a bit older, but there are plenty of machines. I almost never have a problem finding an open machine. While I haven't been a member through the summer yet, I am already looking forward to getting to spend time poolside in the summer. The cardio equipment room has a great view of the pool and it's making me excited for summer! For anyone considering joining or wanting more information, the J gives a free week pass. Utilizing one of these passes is how I first decided to join the J myself. My only complaint is the frequency of closures during Jewish holidays, but the staff does a good job of putting out reminders. On those days I just find home exercise videos or get outside for a run.

A friend gave me a free week pass and I decided to try out their RPM spin class with her. I am SO glad I went! Upon walking in we were greeted at the front door by a security guard smiling then the desk by two workers who checked us in. The building needs some updates, but I believe that is already in the works. After checking in, we walked up some stairs and I noticed an enclosed basketball court with a track held above for walkers while other folks can play ball below. We walked over to the gym to grab some water and I noticed several useful equipment and out the window a pool area. Can't wait to try that out! The gym wasn't packed but it wasn't vacant either - it had the perfect amount of people there. We then headed to the cycle room and to my surprise had several stationary bikes in there. More bikes than what you would see in a YMCA. There were two instructors present - one was training while the other taught the majority of the class. By the time class started, there were about 10 people total in the studio. The tunes were upbeat and fun which really helped guide me through the intense workout. You can tell major calories were burned in the 50 minute class. I'm looking forward to experiencing more classes and potentially becoming a member of the LJCC!
