Took my car in to see why oil pressure was dropping and warning light was coming on suspected oil pressure problem was due to a bad oil pressure switch. They looked at the car probably 10 to 15 minutes and said they couldn't find anything and needed to do a diagnostic test for 89.99 an hour . I said I wanted to be updated on the half hour, a girl who was running the front end said my car was not getting any pressure in the crank case and I should get rid of it or take it somewhere full service and proceeded to charge me 95.00 after telling the other girl who rang me up CYA and I came home put a quart of oil in it and reset to 100% and problem solved. No pressure is good sign shows PVC is doing its job. Never going there again,was my go to for oil change, all new people and I'm out $95. read more

Just be aware of the business practice of upselling. I went into the Havoline express lube on March 6 2019. I had the basic oil change done $45.99. For that amount I was advised that my windshield wipers front and rear were worn and needed to be replaced. Also I was handed a suggested service list totalling almost $300.00. I explained that the wipers were just replaced a month ago. Then the service tech said well maybe it was a different car he was thinking about. Then I was asked if I wanted to schedule any of the suggested services. I won't be going back. If I wanted fleeced I would go to the dealership. I understand upselling but really wiper blades. If business is that slow just be honest. We are struggling for business so please buy something you don't really need. read more

I've written good reviews about this shop in the past, and unfortunately I can no longer recommend them. They are under new ownership, and the service and reliability has all but disappeared. Chad is still there and does what he can, but there has been a sharp decline in service and reliability. I stopped by today for information on my last brake service as it only lasted 13,000 miles. Their response was basically a variation of "sorry, you got it fixed somewhere else" I got it fixed somewhere else because they wouldn't let me drop it off or make an appointment. Best to save yourself the time, money and frustration and go somewhere else. read more

Been a customer here for 10 years. Everyone is friendly, service is fast and the pricing is fair. They do much more than oil changes too. When my dealer wanted to charge me $1,200 for a fuel pump, the Texaco guys spent time with my vehicle and talked me out of doing any work at all. They could of had my cold hard grand but they wouldn't do the work when they knew it wasn't needed. I can't recommend them highly enough. I had to get an oil change and was told about this place. I went on a Wednesday at 9am and didn't have to wait at all. They were super friendly and did my oil in a good amount of time. They also came in to talk about my different options for oil, and I didn't feel like were being overly pushy towards the most expensive one. They check on other things as well, and they found one thing about my car that they weren't sure about because it was my first time there, but when I told them the history of my car, they understood and said no need to worry about that one part then. They were really transparent and didn't try to make me pay for other services (as a woman in her early 20s, I'm pretty wary about auto shops taking advantage of those who don't know much about cars). I have been getting oil changes here since we moved here almost 3 years ago. While sitting in the waiting room I heard one of the employees explaining her up-selling data and how "...we try to add at least one thing to each car. Here is our data for how many air filters we sell, when they don't actually need a new air filter." I know these types of places are known for this so I usually decline because I know what a dirty air filter looks like and if my windshield wipers are not cutting it. But honestly, how stupid do they think their customers are assuming they can't hear this? I should have picked up on this years ago when they told me I needed my trans fluid changed, even though my manual said it wasn't due for another 30,000 miles. I would avoid this place like COVID. I printed off a coupon from THEIR website for $18.99 oil change. When I tried to use, I was told "oh, that isn't for this location". I informed the "manager" that I got it off of her website and she said "that's a corporate issue, I've been trying to get them to change it for quite sometime". To me, this is "bait and switch". It was a coupon that came off of their site. False advertising at best. If, in fact, they have tried to have "corporate" remove the coupon from their website they should at the very least, have a sign up in the office stating that they will not honor these coupons in a prominent place. I have been going to this location for years. However I can't give it top ratings. If you're going in for just a straightforward oil change they do everything just fine and quickly. However they periodically push something that does not need to be done. For example, just yesterday when I had my oil changed they said my antifreeze was not protecting the car at all, and recommended a $90 antifreeze flush (I declined). He showed me the antifreeze tester in which all the balls were floating, saying that was bad. That seemed odd to me since every antifreeze tester I have used in the past, floating balls are a good thing. I went home and tested the antifreeze myself and it showed the antifreeze was providing maximum protection. It wasn't dirty and it was crystal-clear. Bottom line for me is I'm going to start looking for a new place to change my oil. read more

Just moved into the Green Mountain neighborhood and have had two really great service visits already. The second, my Subaru battery died, it was only 3 weeks old. They drove to my house to boost the battery, saved me a $70 tow bill (jumping from my other car didn't give it enough juice), and then they drove the car back to our house after putting in a new battery. We live close enough the employee just walked back. In all my business dealings, I've never been so pleased and happy after a car repair. These guys were awesome! Super accommodating. I was rear ended and got my hitch bent. I could not remove the last bolt with my wrench at home, so I asked them to do it. I only had about 20 minutes before I had to be back at work, and the insurance company is coming to get my car anytime now, so the quick service was much appreciated and needed. They consistently do exceptional work, sometimes just fixing things with no price attached or giving me solid recommendations on how to plan for repairs that need to be made. The other day I called to get a recommendation on a detail shop as the place I wanted to go to didn't have a driving service to take me to work. The manager, Diane just said, "Drop it off and we'll get your car to the appointment." I was floored! They saved me so many headaches that day by just doing what a shop would do in my small dinky town in South Dakota.
