Example 1: Counselor (NPI 1144586678) claims minors (under age 16) can consent to "intercourse" with adults. This is CSA, but the agency seemingly endorses this sentiment. Example 2: Same counselor's solution to self harming, "get a stress ball". Aside from being very bizarre, uneducated and unprofessional, there was an immense amount of blatant lying. The aforementioned counselor also made a habit of showing up significantly late and appeared unkempt. She violated HIPAA regulations and the code of ethics and conduct that govern social workers. With that being said, I would recommend a stress ball opposed to this place, as an inanimate object would be more proficient in comparison, all things being even. The administrative office was also unprofessional and disorganized in their attempts to cover for the failings of the counselor. The agency did not have policy in place for requesting records, amending records, complaints processing and so on. They also did an abrupt discontinuation of services without fulfilling the necessary discharge requirements. It is my understanding that this is the established pattern of conduct for this agency, therefore if you are seeking legitimate mental health services, look elsewhere for providers that are trauma informed.

I waited maybe 5 minutes before they called me back to see the doctor. After getting vitals checked and other info, I waited maybe another 5 minutes before Dr. Bouassaf joined me. I can't state to you what a relief it was to have a physician that totally could talk to me on my level and describe what was going to happen and actually explain my CT Scan that was performed on me at UPMC Altoona in May when I went to the ER. The ER Dr should have been the one to interpret the results, but he just sent me home. Dr. Bouassaf got me to describe my symptoms in a way that no other doctor has succeeded because I usually feel pressed when I'm meeting with a doctor and I tangle up my words. He made me feel as though he honestly paid attention to me and wanted what was best. He showed very calmly the procedures he felt I needed to have done and proposed I have a MRI at another facility. I highly recommend Blair Gastro and this is where I will go for all my Gastroenterology needs.

Very disappointed in how they bill the insurance. I have never had an issue before this with a…read moredentist. I had to have 2 teeth extracted. Two different appointments. The first went very well. Insurance mailed me a check, ( I signed and took to there Altoona office) the second appointment the insurance said was not coded correctly. They submitted this several times. Over a year later they have now told me that they are charging me a finance charge on to my bill, because I have received payments for services. They have received every payment I have received. Someone must not know how to run a business. Needless to say I paid the bill in full and will not go back.
