We were able to get an appointment quickly, he enjoyed the practitioner that he saw and billing worked out as if we were closer to home, where I am sure that we would have needed to wait a month to be seen.

I had thought that Penn State Health accepted Medicare for full payment for services at this clinic. Wrong. I went to a Podiatrist to have my toe nails cut and requested Topical medication to cure toe nail fungus. The Doctor was great and addressed my medical needs. She spent about 20 minutes with me and had a prescription called in to my Pharmacy. Several Weeks later I get a bill for $359 for her services. Medicare covered $244 and I got a bill for $114.00. I went to their office and asked if I could get installment payments. I am living on Social Security. They told me to contact their Hershey office about payments. The woman that took my call at Hershey said that if the amount is under $200 they don't ACCEPT installment payments. She sent me some forms to fill out requesting to have my balance written off by Penn State. The forms they sent me were ridiculous. They wanted me to mail them copies of my last 4 bank statements in addition to another bunch of BS. NO way i would do that instead of just sending them installment payments. My account numbers is none of their business. As far as I know, they MUST accept installment payments by law. So guess how much they are getting? Anything Penn State is a RIP OFF. From their tuition to parking, to anything Penn State, RIP OFF. Find a different Podiatrist and save yourself a headache. Penn State Health is for rich people.

That is already a very limited window. Tonight I called 15 times during the allowed hours and every single time I was told "the nurse is busy with patients" and that I should leave a message. I did exactly that, multiple times, and not one call was returned. If you give families a two-hour window to communicate with their child, then you should actually make sure someone is available to facilitate those calls. Otherwise, the policy is meaningless. Parents should not have to call over and over just to try to speak to their child, especially when that child is in a mental health facility. The lack of follow-through and basic communication is incredibly frustrating and concerning. Families deserve better than being repeatedly brushed off with "leave a message" and then never hearing back.

I was here back in March on the b1 unit and it really didn't help you weren't allowed to leave rooms when it was overstimulating despite the many windows in the tiny ass group room a lot of patients had fresh self harm and no one did anything about it and they let many people out while unstable including me this place genuinely doesn't help I was there two times because I didnt get the help i needed and despite constantly putting on the community papers that I wanted to hurt myself and saying I wanted to kill myself they let me go and it really upset me how they didn't use my preferred name at all. This place feels like a prison and I got worse after each time I leave I don't tell anyone what I'm going through in genuine fear that I'll have to go back. Not to mention it's extremely boring you sit and color and talk to other patients and are stuck in a small ass room all day. I genuinely might have to come back because of my mental state once again and I really don't want to come back to this shit of a place.
